Can't understand anything?
It's English.... Australian English, but English.
Either it's the dialect or it's just me I do understand news in English, but my problems start with TV shows/films, esp. if it's not British English.
(Germany has really good dubs for all foreign language content, so I mustn't train my skills )
Decided not to buy stones to get an Aizen.
Bought a book instead.
Foxglove Summer by Ben Aaronivitch.
Part of the rivers of London supernatural series.
REALLY enjoyed it.
hahah, always funny to switch to the German channel when a movie is on. This works with fixed dubbers for certain actors, right ? Must feel really strange when you switch to English
sometimes it's nice, especially when you are used to it, sometimes it's horrible and deforms a certain character in a show into something he isn't supposed to be.....
I gained the opinion that I cannot judge an actor without hearing his original, own voice which also contains strong acting. So I try to watch everything original. Sometimes it's not possible. Often it is.
There are indeed certain actors who usually have their same voice dubbers in Germany whose dubbed voices are even better than their original ones lmao (Bruce Willis)
"yippie ka yee, arschloch" ?
"jippijajey Schweinebacke" tho I like "Arschloch" much more xD
Along similar lines I would like to see the French dub of Porco Rosso. Jean Reno as Marco sounds utterly perfect.
so, i started watching bleach when i was bored and the collab rem was here..... i enjoyed the first three series, but series four so far is pretty bad. it just all feels like filler waiting for aizen to re-emerge.
there is also a lot of little narrative dissonance (not sure if this is a real term or one i just made up) things which really bug me. such as, how come renji and soi fon started out as kids and grew up in the soul society when they already said you just stay the way are when you get there(i know this wasn't from series 4)? what is the point of the mod souls being in the stuffed bears, they could surely help against the bounts if they were just in the form we first see them in. when fighting the bounts why do ichigo et al just attack their dolls over and over while the bounts just stand still? etc
can anyone who is familar with the show tell me if i should just skip the rest of series four, and maybe series five?
Books are Overrated.
if anything i would say books are under rated. people should read more.
indeed! I love the Carson Ryder crime novels by Jack Kerley, highly recommended!!
Maybe Mario needs to start somewhere else.
My statistic shows I'm doing quality posts? loool
Just got another like from me!
There are guides for animes/tv shows that list all episodes you can skip. Search for Bleach filler free.
thanks, the first guide i looked at said to skip the whole bount arc. it's good to know i'm not missing much by skipping series 4 and 5.
welcome I love them!! Listen to Gucci Coochie, this one is really party!!
I could read a very hungry caterpillar or the gruffalo...
The new ult for Odin reminded me of an great book I read last year - Neil Gaiman's American Gods.
I dont read a huge amount, but this book sucked me in and was interesting whilst playing PAD (not simultaneously) as it features quite a few of the Gods. Odin plays a lead role whilst the Norns also feature. Anyone else read it? Consider it if you ever fancy a read.
Oh it's also has a God/Devil in the reincarnation as a prostitute that devours men with her... well you know..
Has anyone tried FE Heroes?
Play it since last weekend and really like the game. It's beautiful, has great sound, and the battles make lot of fun. Summoning is very addictive bc you're rewarded for pulling multiple times per try.
On the other hand, I don't know how long it will keep me motivated in the long term. And the explanations are pretty bad IMO, I have to find out everything for myself...
@MrPurple - thanx for the tip!
gaiman has a new book out on norse mytholgy too.
