I'm happy that it works for you.

First backup data048.bin & data056.bin from /data/data/jp.gungho.pad/files. It contains your account information and your monster book which are the only necessary files to backup. Delete everything in that folder apart from the folder "mon2", data048.bin & data056.bin and then relaunch the game. PADW should work.

As I wrote earlier, please follow the instructions in this post. It seems to be a lot but it's really not that long.

The HKTW version now does the same check as the JP version. I'll advise you to make your HKTW version work and then switch to the JP client as it's the superior version (collabs !). Please note that the account is interchangeable between both clients so you won't lose nothing.

    You're doing it right.

I forgot to add that the permissions of setpropex have to be set, that's why it can't be executed.
You have to make it executable with a Root Explorer :

    -Enable SuperSU
-Open ES File Explorer and grant it the root access by first ticking root in the settings
-Go to /system/xbin/and highlight setpropex - then open properties
-Change the permission and set it like the attached screenshot
-Reboot, relaunch the script, disable SuperSU and launch the game

    It should work now !

Sasori95, the HK version of PAD is working now, but when I start up the JP version, it crashes after I press start. It says Unfortunately, パズドラ has stopped.

    RE: Users playing with root

    The data have been corrupted.

First backup data048.bin & data056.bin from /data/data/jp.gungho.pad/files or /data/data/jp.gungho.padHT/files and save it somewhere safe (I suggest to send those files to your principal mail address as it's your account information).

    Delete everything in /data/data/jp.gungho.pad/files (even data048.bin & data056.bin) except the folder "mon2".

Then copy your previously backed up data048.bin & data056.bin and paste it in /data/data/jp.gungho.pad/files.

Relaunch the game, it should work.

    RE: Users playing with root

Sasori95, I've followed everything that you posted on your post - however, when running the script, my phone says "mount: Device or resource busy" twice - I'm currently running OzcanROM on 4.4.2, SuperSU 2.4.0

    any tips? Thanks! :D

Can you try to delete the "files" folder and relaunch the game ? Don't forget to backup data048.bin & data056.bin.

It seems to be rom related, can you try to launch the script just after rebooting your phone ?

    RE: Users playing with root

never mind - recently, I have just updated my Android to Lollipop; however, for some reason, SuperSU 2.20 doesn't work on my phone (it doesn't count as rooted, so pad can launch); also, if I upgrade my SuperSU to a newer version, I DO get superuser, but I lose the privilege to play both PAD NA and PAD JP

any suggestions? downgrading doesn't work because I lose my SIM card abilities (such as going on data, calling, etc)

    RE: Users playing with root

Actually, I faced the same problem as Stevenw47 ( Unfortunately, パズドラ has stopped working ). I tried your solution which is deleting the /data/data/jp.gungho.pad/files and relaunch, but didn't work. I noticed something really strange with the crash. The game only crashed after I clicked start and the 通信中 appeared.

    Another thing that I noticed:
    1) The game doesn't crash when 通信中 appears if you dont have Internet connection
    2) I had no problem reclaiming my ID by Google+ verification. The app didn't crash.

    So.... help please? :<

    RE: Users playing with root

In nexus phone @ kitkak 4.4.4
it is very sample to run pad jp under root
    1. fastboot twrp recovery
    2. download UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
    3. flash supersu in recovery
    4. use root explorer go to /system/app/ and rename Superuser.apk to anyname
    5. open SuperSu app and disable superuser in settings

But nexus phone @ lollipop , still no solution
The file structure is different compare kitkat

Superuser.apk locate at a single folder
    /system/app/SuperSu/Superuser.apk

the rename way is not work again

hope someone can figure out the solution in lollipop

The file structure isn't what matters. The problem is that SuperSU 2.46 broke PAD.

You need to locate a SuperSU < 2.30 version for your phone for L. There's a handful of links scattered around this thread for various nexus devices.

If you have a Nexus 6, I still have the working copy of SuperSu for L, linked in one of the earlier pages on this thread.

I tried install SuperSu 2.27 in my nexus 5
    http://download.chainfire.eu/630/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.27.zip

then go to system/app/SuperSU and rename SuperSu.apk to SuperSua.apk
and disable supersu in setting , just like in kitkat
but pad jp is still close immediately

I found a way to make the game work with Stock Lollipop (5.0 & 5.1) and the latest SuperSU.

    01/02/16 Edit : Go check post #188

To the mods: I would like to put a tutorial in the first post with all the instructions for all the roms, is it possible ? I think it would be clearer for everyone. I know that I could create a new topic but I would like it to be a continuation of this thread.

By tutorial do you just mean a copypasta of the instructions you posted here or something more like a video guide?

Also helps to tag a mod so we get a notification, we'll see it faster :p
