His ability to control damage effectively for sweeping through some of the most difficult end-game content and also provides almost all the utility himself puts him on par- even rivaling above/against some of the high tank-burst style meta leads in the game(Ra Dragon, Myr, Dark Athena, Krishna, etc.). One of the greatest benefits of Aizen is his ability to not rely on a gemstone princess active to get around hardcore content, which saves him a sub slot for more utility or orb changers. Aizen also makes certain enemies like Hephaestus dragon from the most difficult for even the top tanky teams like Ra Dragon and DAthena into an easy clear for himself as he can burst on demand when necessary. It helps that compared to some of the leads at the top, he also supplies a simple but effective and powerful hero-style active skill that provides both offensive and defensive utility at the same time. His active skill is also unique in that it changes his attribute to dark, allowing him to contribute more damage whenever necessary(in which nearly 99% of cases it isn't because your subs would be unbound), or stay off-color to deal damage against enemies who have dark absorb in general. The most significant downside that prevents him from breaking the elite of the elite gate is his lack of HP multiplier. However with many buffs that have came in recently for providing stat bonuses, the problem of HP has been significantly reduced. That being said for those who are looking to clear Annihilation-Arena 3 hardcore dungeons, it may be difficult to do without playing in co-op, having quality REM dark subs(mitigated as well due to skill inheritance and Zaerog Infinity being ridiculous) or the use of Indra's Shield- one of the most important aspects which mitigates this problem for Aizen's lack of tankiness. Addressing Aizen in Co-op: There is literally nothing stopping this monster from steamrolling any of the content today. Since the only weakness for Aizen is lack of HP, Co-op addresses this problem and the only downside stopping him from steamrolling content 24/7 would be skyfall RNG.
