Elden Ring’s map is vast, sprawling, and obscured by a fog of war that you can reveal if you know how to unlock it. In order to unlock sections of the map to see in more detail, you will need to locate Map Steles, large stone monument resembling a column with glowing writing on them that have a Map Fragment you can loot from them.
They are often located in large enemy camps on the route to that region’s Legacy Dungeon. Once you have collected a Map Fragment from a Map Stelle, viewing the map will automatically update with your fragment to show you that region’s topography in a stylistic design, including forests, cliffs, rivers, oceans, and other unique-looking art that can help lead you to find new points of interest, mini dungeons, or encampments.

It’s possible to do a fully pacifist run of Elden Ring, though it’s not going to be any easier for you to beat some of the bosses with just your Imps for company. 
Elden Ring is a tough game. Unless you’ve been living under a turtle for the last few months, you alread know this. The latest game coming from the sadistic minds of developer From Software is infamously tough, designed to make you fight bosses over and over again until you’re good enough to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by the skin of your chattering teeth.

- How would that be possibe? Well, Youtuber Iron Pineapple has gone above and beyond to show us how.
- Thanks to some impeccable game design and a commitment to letting players, really, do what they want when it comes to builds and system-juggling, Elden Ring lets you beat even some of the most hardcore bosses in the game without laying a hand (directly) on them.
In order to achieve this ludirous fate, Iron Pineapple – of course – had to rely heavily on summoned spirits (mostly imps) to deal with the bosses whilst the content creator held back and focused on healing and buffing. The result is nothing short of astonishing. 
Starting as a Prophet with a high Faith stat is the key to making a run like this work: you will need to learn enemy attack patterns in order to make sure there’s distance between you and the killer moves, whilst being close enough to allies and summons that you’ll be able to keep them alive in the middle of the more intense melee moments.
Don’t be fooled: this may be a no direct damage run, but as the video embedded above shows, it’s anything but easy to pull off. If you’re even more of a masochist than your average Elden Ring player and you’re thinking about trying this pacifist run yourself, just remember to use the Imps – not that useless nobleman/failed magician,

How do I see the map in Limgrave?
Limgrave Map Fragment locations – There are two Map Fragments which will help you flesh out the starting Limgrave region. To find the West Limgrave Map Fragment you want to head to Gatefront Ruins, a destroyed settlement at the foot of a gate located north-west of where you begin. 
You’ll find the Map Fragment at the base of an obelisk to the side of the main path running north-to-south along the area. 
Starting from the north, backstab the enemy to the left, then when the coast is clear, quickly run down and grab the Map Fragment. 
While you are here, it’s well worth also collecting the Whetstone Knife, allowing you to equip Ash of War abilities, alongside one of the Grace points nearby which grants you the ability to level up in Elden Ring and get the horse, Next, the East Limgrove Map fragment is located in Mistwood forest. 
Specifically, it’s just to the side of the road, north-east from Mistwood Ruins. 
When we arrived, there was a very large bear next to a tree, which wasn’t fazed by our presence, allowing us to investigate the obelisk easily. 
While you are here, it’s worth getting the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook (4) from the corpse next to the bear, provided you can make a quick getaway!
