While you are holding the right trigger for full speed, SLIGHTLY push up on the left stick to start boring into the lock initially.

The farther your drill bit travels, the farther you will have to push up on the stick. Go VERY slowly; this is one progressive movement your left thumb stick will be making from first contact to busting the lock. The instant you start to see the bit turning red, you should VERY SLIGHTLY back off how pushed up your left stick is.

Think of your left stick push as how far you are physically pushing in the drill bit. The stick in dead center is not applying ANY pressure, and stick pushed all the way up is as much pressure as possible. The key word here is FINESSE. Keep in mind that there is a TINY bit of negative space between the lock pins, so every time you pop one of the pins your drill bit will be spinning air and doing nothing.

You must apply a LITTLE more pressure to push the bit into the next pin.
