How To Get Relic Sword Elden Ring
Sacred Relic Sword or Marika’s Hammer? – How To Get Relic Sword Elden Ring (Image credit: FromSoftware) Some players may be wondering whether it’s better to have the Sacred Relic Sword over Marika’s Hammer, as both are powerful late-game weapons and Remembrances self-destruct after use. First of all, if you really want both then you should find one of the Walking Mausoleums.

  1. Though each Mausoleum can only be used once, if you have any unused you can always duplicate the Elden Remembrance within it and allow yourself to get both rewards.
  2. Of course, if you’ve used up all the Mausoleums with other Remembrances, you’ll need to play NG+ to get both of them.
  3. The reality is that neither is hugely better, they just excel at different things.

We found that Marika’s Hammer is better for Strength/Faith builds and one-on-one conflicts (it has a different Skill that causes the player to drop on a target for more damage/less range than Wave of Gold). Meanwhile, the Sacred Relic Sword excels against crowds and Dexterity/Faith builds.

  • Which one you find more appealing will probably depend on the kind of character you’re making, or just whether you prefer the attack patterns of a Greatsword over the attack patterns of a Hammer.
  • Of course, there is another benefit to the Sacred Relic Sword, one the Elden Ring community has been using in huge numbers: Wave of Gold allows for incredibly effective Rune Farming.

We’ll discuss that now.

What are the requirements for relic sword?

Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword: What Does It Do? – How To Get Relic Sword Elden Ring Click to enlarge The Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword is a greatsword that requires 14 Strength, 24 Dexterity, and 22 Faith. It primarily scales with Strength and Faith, and the weapon’s skill only scales from Faith. This means if you have the required Dexterity for it, there’s no reason to level that further, as it offers no benefit.

  • As a unique weapon, it requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade, along with an Ancient Dragon Somber Smithing Stone to reach its maximum.
  • The skill of the Sacred Relic Sword is called Wave of Gold, and despite its high cost of 50 FP per use, it’s incredibly powerful.
  • When activated, you’ll swipe your sword in front of you, causing a wave of golden light to spread in front, widening its range as it goes further.

Toward the end of its range, the damage falls off by about 20%, but it’s still enough to decimate most enemies in the game, including many bosses.

You need to complete Amdapor Keep in order to get this item. It can be completed unsynced, so if you’re high-level, this should be easy. Take the Glyph to Rowena and bring the book back to Gerolt. While you’re in Revenant’s Toll, you can also pre-purchase items needed for a later phase of this quest. Once that’s done, you have yet another trial to complete. This time, it’s A Relic Reborn: The Hydra, Similar to the previous kill quests, you need to finish the encounter while you have the prototype Relic Weapon equipped. We’re almost there! You now have to complete The Bowl of Embers (Hard), The Howling Eye (Hard), and The Navel (Hard) in order to obtain an item from each.

The items are White-Hot Ember, Howling Gale, and Hyperfused Ore, Then, you need to bring all of these items back to Gerolt. The final ingredient Gerolt needs is the Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil. If you purchased it earlier, you can just turn it in now. If not, you need to head back to Revenant’s Toll, talk to Auriana in Mor Dhona (X:22.7, Y:6.6), and select the “Allagan Tomestones of Poetics (Special Arms)” menu option.

And with that, you have your very first Relic Weapon! Huzzah! The weapons for each Job are:

Is it worth getting relic weapon?

Thread: Is a relic worth it?

02-27-2021 01:10 AM I’ve heard about Bozja a lot recently and when I was doing some Googling I noticed that there is a system called relic that is tied to it. From what I’ve gathered, a relic is a powerful weapon that is extremely grindy to get. However, I’m not sure if it’s worth the time to get the relic. Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of relic? 02-27-2021 01:14 AM Not in my opinion unless you want it for glamour purposes or to get achievements 02-27-2021 01:15 AM Originally Posted by Jin- Not in my opinion unless you want it for glamour purposes or to get achievements Cool. I might get one for samurai just for the look and hold off on the others then. 02-27-2021 01:16 AM I think it’s worth it. Glamour is the true endgame.

That aside, being able to customize stats and have more stats in general on your weapon is a bonus, and it can easily outperform the base Cryptlurker weapons depending on the job. It’ll be BiS eventually. 02-27-2021 01:21 AM Lol who needs relic weapons when you have ultimate weapons 02-27-2021 01:23 AM No they don’t carry over from expansion to expansion and unless your into some serious raiding, where it might be replaced, then no.

I get the base weapon for giggle but that’s it. 02-27-2021 01:27 AM I would say no, its just for show and outdated pretty fast in terms of Gearlevel. However for glamour purpose i would check out the different relics from the expansions that are availible on a website, youtube or something and than deicde which one i wanna have and get it. However, I’m not sure if it’s worth the time to get the relic. Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of relic? right now, due to customizable substats, the max of the current relic is BiS for all 3 of the game’s ultimates. When we get the final step, presuming it follows prior versions, it will surpass the current raid weapons (Edenmorn) at the same item level but with customizable substats and more total substats than the Edenmorn weapons have, even with 2 materia 8 slotted in.

02-27-2021 01:51 AM I would say yes as you don’t mind a long grind. They tend to look really nice and are always the strongest weapons by the time they are done (at the end of the expac so that a bit of a moot point but still). I have done every relic quest line and usually enjoy them just be prepared for a huge time investment. Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of relic? it depends what you want out of a weapon and if you raid. If you don’t raid but do want stats, then its the best weapon you can get once 5.5 hits. So it could have a niche if you’re waiting for 5.5 to come out to jump straight into e12s once lockouts are finished (if you want the mount for example) If you raid chances are there will be nothing to use it on before 6.0 assuming you got your edernmorn weapon unless you’re a parser. If you’re a glamour person, by all means do it if the weapon is to your liking. If it isn’t then its really not worth the bother.

What is a good sword I can get early on Elden Ring?

Best early game greatsword in Elden Ring – Bloodhound’s Fang – The thing about Greatswords is that a lot of them require a huge amount of Strength to wield effectively. We’re talking as much as 30-40+ Strength, which is much more than you have in the early game.

  2. Not only is it a fantastic bleed-damage inflicting weapon with a strong unique ability, but it just needs 18 Strength and 17 Dexterity to equip.
  3. What’s more, it shouldn’t go understated how OP its special ability, Bloodhound’s Finesse, is.

You could happily slay many demi-gods with this weapon and use it for the majority of the game.
