Faith is one of the Stats in Elden Ring, Stats refer to various properties that govern your character’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they are affected by interactions in and out of combat. Faith primarily affects a player’s ability to cast Incantations, as well as equipping the weapons required to cast them.
It is one of the 8 Main Attributes that players can spend Runes on to level up, increasing the Stat’s effectiveness and influencing their relative secondary stats. Stats such as Faith are an important aspect of character progression in Elden Ring. On weapons that do not have innate faith scaling, players can obtain certain whetblades to add specific elemental damage and affinities to a weapon when infusing it with Ashes of War,
Weapons that cannot be infused with Ashes of War cannot have scalings added. All scalings shown are currently listed at weapon level 1. Known scalings at max weapon level will be shown in parentheses.

What does a faith build do in Elden Ring?
Best Black Flame Weapons and Talismans – You can equip a number of strong weapons to the black flame build in Elden Ring, but here are a few that stand out. The main weapon you’ll want is the Godslayer’s Seal, This requires four points in Strength and 27 in Faith, and boosts all godslayer incantations.
- These include all your Black Flame spells, and as such make this handy little seal a cornerstone for this build.
- When it comes to primary melee weapons, there are two trains of thought.
- You can either go all in on the black flame with weapons like the Godslayer’s greatsword found in the Caelid divine tower or the Godskin Peeler from the godskin apostle boss in the Volcano Manor.
This provides more opportunity for you to deal big damage and apply the Black Flame debuff, and would lead to a “true Black Flame build”. Alternatively, you can lean towards a hybrid black flame / bleed build, The reason for doing this is simple, both bleed and black flame do percentage health damage.
- Since you’re already going to be attacking all the time to keep the black flame debuff on enemies, having a weapon like the Wakizashi dagger or Bloodhound’s Fang with built in blood loss can provide an additional surge of damage.
- Angel’s Scythe is another strong choice, as it causes bloodloss buildup and deals both physical and Holy damage.
We recommend experimenting with both to see what you prefer. Early game, secure the godslayer’s seal and black flame blade and mess around with your blood loss weapon of choice. Bear in mind that not all enemies actually can bleed in Elden Ring, so you’ll want to rely on black flame incantations either way.
- As for talismans, the Green Turtle talisman is a brilliant option across many builds including this one.
- As you’ll be on the offensive, having a higher stamina regen rate is key when wanting to keep the pressure up.
- You can also use talismans like the Ancestral Spirit’s Horn to recover some of that lost FP from enemies as you make your way through the game.
In boss fights, swap this out for other universally great talismans like the Crimson Amber Medallion or other options that boost your HP or healing. Finally, as an incantation-focused build, the Faithful’s Canvas Talisman is a great pick. This simply boosts the effectiveness of your incantations, so will provide additional power to your black flame incantations.

Does faith increase damage Elden Ring?
Inseparable Sword location in Elden Ring – The Inseparable Sword is the main melee weapon for this Elden Ring Faith build. To get the Inseparable Sword, you must follow Fia’s quest until you get the Twinned Armor from D. Then, give the Twinned Armor to D’s brother and make your way into the Deeproot Depths, where you’ll find Fia at the Prince of Death’s Throne,

Is faith or intelligence better in Elden Ring?
I’d say faith is honestly the better of the two because it gets support, healing, fire, and lightning. Sorceries get mostly just ‘magic’ element with a little bit of fire.

Elden Ring: 15 Best Faith Scaling Weapons has hundreds of weapons to choose from, and finding a weapon that scales appropriately to your build is essential. Is faith strong in Elden Ring?
Stats To Aim For –
For stats, we are aiming to use big weapons, big shields, big armor, and big spells. This of course means we are stretched a bit thin in terms of distribution, and we had to make some sacrifices to get this build up and running, but everything is here.
- Having 50-60 Vigor is almost a must for the late game of Elden Ring as enemies hit ridiculously hard.
- If you don’t have the Vigor, you risk being one-shot by basic enemies.
- Following suit is Mind and Endurance, at 20 and 25 respectively.
- This will give us plenty of resources to play with when it comes to combat and spellcasting.
The core of the build is the Strength value of 60. This is the soft cap for Strength, so if you were to stop anywhere for a primary stat, it would be here. Faith hovers around 40, which may seem a bit on the low end, but it’s more than enough for what the build wants to do.

How much should I level faith Elden Ring?
Best Faith/Strength Build in Elden Ring – We want to employ large weapons, shields, armor, and spells to maximize these stats. This naturally implies that we are a little overstretched in terms of distribution and that we had to make some concessions to start this build, but everything is here.
- In the later stages of Elden Ring, having 50 to 60 Vigor is practically necessary since opponents attack hard.
- Without the Vigor, you risk getting one shot by simple foes.
- At 20 and 25, respectively, Mind and Endurance follow suit.
- This will provide us with many resources to work with regarding fighting and casting spells.
The Strength rating of 60 forms the basis of the construct. If you were to stop somewhere for a primary stat, it would be here because this is the soft cap for Strength. Although faith hangs around 40, which could seem a little low, it is more than plenty for the build’s objectives.
Vigor – 52 Mind – 20 Endurance – 25 Strength – 60 Dexterity – 14 Intelligence – 9 Faith – 40 Arcane – 9
What class is best for faith Elden Ring?
Best Classes For Faith Builds – The clear winner here is the Prophet, with the highest starting Faith level in the game. That’s not to say, though, that other classes aren’t just as viable. In fact, for a few of these builds, it is even beneficial to have a class with a different strong suit. The only other class with a decent starting Faith level is none other than the Confessor,

What stats are best to level up in Elden Ring?
Let’s call it “The V.E.S. Method” – Or don’t, I don’t care. That’s a pretty dumb name, but it gets to the point. If you’re new to Elden Ring and just want to bulldoze your way through the game with the biggest possible margin of error you can give yourself, invest heavily in Vigor, Endurance, and Strength.

What is the best starting character in Elden Ring?
Best Elden Ring Class for beginners – What starting class should newcomers choose? – If you’re brand-new to Souls-style games, we’d suggest starting out with the all-rounder class in your category of choice:
For melee, the basic starter is the Vagabond, It has a little bit of everything, and enough stats in each area to be proficient with a range of weapons and armor for a strength build, and they start with a shield. It’s a knight, basically. You won’t be able to use any magic without leveling in that direction, however. The other melee classes let you focus more specifically on elements like raw power or speed. For magic, beginners should start with the Astrologer, Consider this your basic Mage, adept at spell-slinging and also equipped with a backup sword for emergencies. The high intelligence stat makes it easier to use some of the best spells in the game early on as well. If you want a beginner-friendly hybrid class, look no further than the Prisoner, This class is built quite defensively, with higher endurance and vigor even than the Confessor. It has good strength, dexterity, and intelligence, which means you get both spells and swords, and even bows once you find them. It’s still a bit fragile compared to the more melee-focused classes, though, so you’ll want to find some good armor fairly quickly. If you want an all-around solid class for melee with the added bonus of inflicting ailments, the Samurai is for you. It’s a bit weaker than the Vagabond, but with higher endurance and, more importantly, much better dexterity. The Samurai starts with the Uchigatana, one of the best early-game weapons that inflicts bloodloss on enemies, and a long bow, which, unlike other clases, you can actually use straight away.
What is the best catalyst in Elden Ring?
Carian Regal Scepter – The Carian Regal Scepter is the best all-around Sorcery catalyst in the game. It has very high sorcery and Intelligence scaling, reaching S rank at just +9. If you need a go-to catalyst for casting powerful sorceries, the Carian Regal Scepter is for you. It can be created using Rennala’s Remembrance.
Location: Roundtable Hold – Exchange Rennala Remembrance with Finger Reader Enia

Should a Confessor be strength or Dex?
Dexterity – When it comes down to leveling up your Confessor to the Poison Build, the extensive choice you have is between Dexterity and Strength. For this Confessor build, you need Dexterity because it allows for faster casting, and you can easily hit that Poison, quick attack, and Bloodhound’s Step combination. We have a Dex Build guide for this as well.

From Software A Warrior class surveys Elden Ring’s open world. The endurance attribute governs the amount of stamina you have as well as your physical defense. Leveling this stat will make you tougher and nimbler. Stamina is essential in Elden Ring and will allow you to do more in combat before you need to back off and let it regenerate.
- It can also save your life if you have enough stamina to roll or dodge attacks.

What is the most important stat in Elden Ring?
Best stats to level up in Elden Ring – Whenever you level up, you’re faced with another choice: which of your 8 stats to increase. Below, we’ll cover which of your stats you should prioritise early on in your adventure. If you’re not opting for a specific Elden Ring build, here’s our recommended order of importance for levelling up your stats:
Endurance is the most important stat to level up early on, no matter your chosen Elden Ring class, because it increases your stamina. Stamina is required for attacking, blocking, dodging, running, and just generally staying alive during fights. It’s by far the thing you need most at the beginning of the game.
- Endurance also increases your equip load, so that you can equip some of the best armor in Elden Ring,
- Vigor is next, because it increases your maximum health.
- Doing this can make fights a lot easier, because suddenly you take two hits to die, instead of just one fateful smack.
- Dexterity and Strength are required stats for handling most weapons.
They also scale up the damage you deal with those weapons, but the effect is slight enough to be overshadowed by simply upgrading your weapon using Smithing Stones, I’d recommend setting your eyes on some of the best weapons you can find early on, and increasing your Strength and Dexterity until you reach the requirements.
- Intelligence and Faith govern your power with Sorceries and Incantations, respectively.
- Spells are very powerful in Elden Ring – but again, the damage scaling you receive by upgrading these stats is quite slight.
- Don’t just pump these stats full of points: work towards a spell requirement goal.
- Mind improves your maximum FP, which is your mana.
It’s worth putting a few points in your Mind stat over the course of your first few dozen levels, but otherwise you can more or less leave it unless you’re going for a dedicated spellcaster setup. Arcane improves your item discovery, which is your chance of finding items to loot on corpses.
- It’s nice, but certainly not worth prioritising unless you happen to find a spell or weapon that requires a certain amount of Arcane knowledge, such as Reduvia – one of our favourite early weapons in Elden Ring,

Can you have both faith and Intelligence in Elden Ring?
Elden Ring’s Sword Of Night & Flame, Clayman’s Harpoon, Erdstreel Dagger – Technically, there is only one weapon in the main game of Elden Ring that can scale with both Intelligence and Faith – Elden Ring ‘s Sword of Night and Flame, a Legendary Armament found in the Caria Manor dungeons within the Liurnia of the Lakes region.
This ornate straight sword weapon, said to have been forged by astrologers who lived in the mountains alongside giants, scales well off of both Intelligence and Faith and has a special Skill called Night-and-Flame Stance where Elden Ring characters can fire off either a broad blast of crimson flame or a blue beam of cosmic light.
The Clayman’s Harpoon, a spear randomly dropped from the stone-skinned Clayman enemies found in the Siofra River and other underground areas in Elden Ring, scales off of Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence by default. Similarly, completing the Kenneth Haight quest in Elden Ring ‘s optional boss-laden Limgrave area nets players the Erdsteel Dagger, which scales off of Strength, Dexterity, and Faith by default.
