(Image credit: FromSoftware) Brother Corhyn’s location in Elden Ring is quite important to know if you’re running a Faith-based build that relies on strong Incantations. The man of the cloth will be one of the first NPCs you meet in the safety of the Roundtable Hold, serving as a basis for learning Faith spells, but once you might notice that he has suddenly disappeared and you have no way to learn all those Incantations from the Prayer Books you gave him. (Image credit: FromSoftware) Brother Corhyn is first found next to the Site of Grace in the Roundtable Hold, but he will move once you make it to the Altus Plateau region of the Lands Between that is just north of Liurnia – to get to this area, you’ll need to know how to use the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring or find the alternate route through the Ravine-Veiled Village.

Once you’ve done this, the next time you talk to Brother Corhyn he’ll mention that he wants to find the character mentioned in the intro cinematic called the Goldmask, and will leave the Hold to search for him.
The new place you can find him is in the Altus Plateau, just next to the beacon with that area’s map fragment (if you don’t know where that is, check out our page on the Elden Ring map fragments ).

He’s calmly sitting on the wall, and will still serve as a place to learn Incantations and submit any Prayerbooks you’ve found, though he’ll still do the same shocked face whenever you do at the fact that they’re not part of the proper holy texts. Now, if you don’t progress the Goldmask questline by helping Corhyn on his personal search for the enigmatic masked man, he won’t budge until you reach the endgame, so if you want him to stay in place, don’t report to him that you’ve found Goldmask.

The giant tortoise Miriel at the Church of Vows (East side of the Liurnia Lake) will also accept Prayer Books and sell Incantations, though they don’t start with the same selection as Corhyn. You also can’t teach Miriel any Incantations you already taught Corhyn, each one limited by the Prayer Books you give them.

Where to find Brother Corhyn in Mountaintops of the Giants – Both Brother Corhyn and Goldmask move to the Mountaintops of the Giants region and can be found on the bridge, just south of Stargazers’ Ruins, The quickest way to get here is from the Freezing Lake Site of Grace,

Travel west until you come to the bridge southwest of Castle Sol, cross it, then make your way to the bridge to the southeast of there. Talk to Brother Corhyn here and ask about Goldmask when prompted. If you have the Tonic of Forgetfulness in your inventory, given by Tanith during Rya’s questline (opens in new tab), you’re given the option here to offer it to Corhyn.

He won’t take it whatever you choose but it seems that his quest will stop here if you do.

Corhyn and Goldmask have moved once again to the coliseum area of Leyndell, Royal Capital. You need to obtain two Great Runes to access the place.
Either head down the branches from the Erdtree Sanctuary or go beneath them from the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace.
1. Head south down the walkway from the Site of Grace, passing beneath the massive branch that crosses it.
2. When you approach the cliff wall, run up the stairs and take the right.
3. After a short distance, you can find a narrow trail to the left. Follow the path to find Corhyn and Goldmask at the summit.
Speak to them both. Exhaust the dialogues with Corhyn.
Here you also finally learn the Law of Regression Incantation by paying Brother Corhyn 10,000 Runes. Or you can also take it to Miriel, Pastor of Vows.
Now, return to the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, then enter through the west door and take the lift down.
When you get to the bottom of the stairs, look for a message written in front of a giant statue of Lord Radagon that reads: “Regression alone reveals secrets.”
Cast the Law of Regression to reveal the secret behind the riddle. In case you’re not properly specced to cast the Incantation, then these might help:
- Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear (+10 INT for three minutes)
- Twinsage Glintstone Crown (+6 INT)
- Stargazer’s Heirloom (+5 INT).
- Marika’s Soreseal (+5 to all Mental stats)
- Godrick’s Great Rune (+5 to all stats)
- Grafted Blade Greatsword (+5 to all stats when the Ash of War is cast)
The Radagon statue will turn into a statue of Queen Marika the Eternal. Walk towards it and look for a message that reads: “Radagon is Marika.” Dun dun duunn!
Go back to the Golden Order duo, tell Goldmask about the secret, then speak with the excited Corhyn.

Where is Corhyn after endgame?

In Leyndell, Royal Capital – You can find Brother Corhyn and Goldmask again when you reach Leyndell, Royal Capital. In the southwest side of the capital, by the Colosseum, you’ll find Brother Corhyn and Goldmask. Speak to him and ask about Goldmask, and he’ll tell you that they’re working on solving the mystery of Radagon’s true identity.

To help them, go to the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace and climb up the tree towards the Queen’s Bedchamber,
Instead of taking the path to the Queen’s Bedchamber, turn towards the golden roof on the left (just after you exit the door).
Jump to the roof and head towards the open window.
Follow the balcony around until you reach a navigable tree branch; walk along that to circle back into the chamber where you found Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Golden Shade),

Here, you should see a corpse on a chair suspended from the ceiling, with an item floating on it. This will give you the Golden Order Principia, which you must give to Brother Corhyn to progress his quest.

Where is Brother Corhyn after bridge?

Leyndell, Capital Of Ash, And Acquiring The Mending Rune Of Perfect Order – Brother Corhyn and Goldmask will travel to the Mountaintop of the Giants region following their adventure in Leyndell. To find them and continue on with the quest, travel to the bridge southeast of the area’s Stargazer Ruins.

Talk to them until all dialogue options are complete, and you are nearly done with the quest.
To unlock the final stage of the quest, you’ll need to have progressed to the final parts of Elden Ring by completing the Crumbling Farum Azula area and unlocking Leyndell, Capital of Ash.

Does Corhyn disappear?

Finding Brother Corhyn in Elden Ring – From what has been gathered so far, Brother Corhyn will only move out of the Roundtable Hold after players beat the NPC Mad Tongue Alberich invasion there and collect the Cipher Pata. After beating the invasion, Corhyn will mention that he wants to find the Goldmask, which players will remember to be the same character that was mentioned in the introductory cinematic.

After reloading the Roundtable Hold, players will find that Corhyn has disappeared, and they will find them next in the, next to the place where one can find the area’s map fragment.
There he can be found sitting on a wall, and as usual, he will be selling new Incantations in exchange for Prayerbooks.

Then on the northern side of the Altus Plateau, players will find a large broken bridge where they can encounter the Goldmask. After talking to him, players can either go back to Brother Corhyn and report it to him, or they can keep it to themselves.

If players opt not to talk to the NPS about the Goldmask, then he won’t budge from the spot and will continue to sell incantations from there.
However, if one decides to reveal the location of the Goldmask to him, then he will once again move from the spot and will be found in two locations in this order.

He will first be found outside the coliseum in Leyndell.
He will eventually move on from there and will be found on the bridge to the south from the Stargazer Ruins in Mountaintops of the Giant.

It’s important to note here that if Elden Ring players are looking to complete Brother Corhyn’s questline but do find him dead at any point of the progression, they can continue to complete the steps with Goldmask. Brother Corhyn can first be met once the player is able to go to Roundtable Hold. He can be seen standing in the main room. After reaching Altus Plateau, Brother Corhyn will tell you he is going on a journey to find the Goldmask, After resting, he moves to Altus Plateau and increases the number of Incantations he knows. Corhyn will be standing on the road north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, next to the monument where the Map (Altus Plateau) can be found. If you find Corhyn dead at any point in the questline, you can still complete the steps with Goldmask. On the north side of Altus Plateau, there is a large broken bridge. You can encounter Goldmask standing on the north section of the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge, south of East Windmill Pasture,

Traveling north of the Bower of Bounty grace, you can use a Spirit Spring near the bridge to jump directly up to the Goldmask. Alternatively, use the waygate on the southern section of the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge, next to the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge Site of Grace.

After speaking to the Goldmask, you can return to Corhyn and inform him of Goldmask’s location. After resting, Corhyn moves to stand next to the Goldmask and adds new incantations to his stock. You can discuss Goldmask with him. After obtaining at least two Great Runes and gaining access to Leyndell, Corhyn and Goldmask move to the city Leyndell, and are found on a cliff up west of the colosseum, contemplating a riddle.

Note that in order to progress his questline you need to solve this riddle before burning the Erdtree at Forge of the Giants (after Fire Giant boss fight), otherwise Corhyn will vanish and leave behind Corhyn’s Bell Bearing in Leyndell. In addition, Goldmask will not be present. The solution is found west of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, down an elevator and a set of stairs. A white message on the ground facing the statue mentions “Regression”. You must stand on the message, facing the statue, and cast the Law of Regression incantation to solve the riddle. Touch the new message that appears, and report the secret to Goldmask and then exhaust Corhyn’s dialogue. Casting Law of Regression requires 37 Intelligence, If desired, you can use two Larval Tears to respec your character and back just to solve the riddle. Alternatively, you can use a combination of intelligence-boosting equipment and effects:

After casting the spell, revealing a plot-point, go back to Goldmask and tell him what you found out.

After this, you can talk to Brother Corhyn, and he will offer to sell you the Immutable Shield incantation.

After leaving them (reloading in the same place won’t make them disappear), Goldmask and Corhyn will move to the bridge south of Stargazers’ Ruins right above the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace.

A dialogue option also appears to give Brother Corhyn the Tonic of Forgetfulness upon advancing his questline to Mountaintops of the Giants, near the Stargazers’ Ruins. Corhyn will refuse the potion and the item will remain in the player’s inventory, but it will change the final step in this questline.

After completing Crumbling Farum Azula, Goldmask can be found in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, he moves to the bottom of the colosseum cliffs facing the west side of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace. He will give you the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, Reload the area to loot Goldmask’s Set, Corhyn can then be found at one of the possible two locations:

Corhyn location 1: It is advisable to check for him here first, as the game loads you into Leyndell, Ashen Capital after you finish the main boss fight at Crumbling Farum Azula, He will be near the base of the giant spiral spear. Speak with him to exhaust all dialogue and then, after reloading the area, you can find a Flail, Corhyn’s Bell Bearing, and Corhyn’s Robe where he was sitting. Corhyn location 2: If you offered Brother Corhyn the Tonic of Forgetfulness, he will remain at the bridge south of the Stargazers’ Ruins where you last saw him. Talk to him; he’ll be unaware of Goldmask’s absence. Reload the area and then collect all three of the above items where he was.
