Where can I buy scarlet rot arrows?
Where To Farm For Infinite Aeonian Butterflies – There are three locations where you can farm for Aeonian Butterflies — one is early, one is available mid-game, and one is only for late-game players. Check the locations in the gallery.
Church of Plague : At the Church of Plague in Caelid, defeat the bug-like Kindred of Rot outside. There is a miniscule 2% chance they’ll drop an Aeonian Butterfly. Only for the desperate / early-game. Lake of Rot : From the Inner Cloister site of grace, you can defeat 8~ Basilisk enemies. Basilisks have a slightly better drop rate of 8% — you can increase that further with the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, Haligtree : The best place to farm butterflies, but also the most difficult. The pests / Kindred of Rot bug-like enemies found all throughout the Haligtree drop butterflies at 10% rate. Save this for the end-game.
If you need a quick infusion of Aeonian Butterflies to help defeat Radahn, you’ll want to find a few good clusters of them — you can purchase 5 from the Nomadic Merchant near the Caelid Highway North site of grace. You can also find 5 south of the Inner Aeonia site of grace, guarded by a magic-user enemy.
Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook : Unlocks Rotbone Arrow, Rotbone Arrow (Fletched) and Rotbone Bolt. Sold by the Nomadic Merchant in south Caelid Highway, near the map marker. Where is Merchant Kale?
Elden Ring’s first merchant was initially more than just that. via Sekiro Dubi Uncovering the quests that didn’t make it into the final cut of Elden Ring is just as intriguing as completing the ones that did. Datamines of the game have revealed NPCs who didn’t have much to say offering entire questlines, dead ends that were originally accessible areas, and even the most throwaway line of dialogue, which entirely changed the game’s lore.
While all this content was surely removed for a reason, it would be interesting to get a version of Elden Ring with the best cut content included. One recent datamine finds that a certain merchant initially played a bigger role than just selling you goods (thanks, PC Gamer ). Kalé can be found in Church of Elleh, and is the first of many NPC merchants you come across while on your journey in The Lands Between.
But thanks to a datamine by Sekiro Dubi, we’ve learned that Kalé was part of a major sidequest, pertaining to the Grand Caravan. After the Tarnished defeats Gorick the Grafted, the scrapped quest would see Kalé move to Liurnia and eventually Leyndell, in search of the Grand Caravan.
- He would eventually end up at Subterranean Shunning Grounds, explaining why there was an area filled with so many Nomadic Merchants – some alive, most dead.
- Alé would be standing near the doorway to the Three Fingers, where he would explain that his people – the Grand Caravan – were buried alive here along with the Three Fingers by the Golden Order.
He then tries to embrace the Flame of Frenzy, albeit unsuccessfully. Ultimately, however, the questline was scrapped, and instead, you’d be pointed to the location of the Three Fingers by Hyetta’s questline. It could be possible that this was done to avoid the quests from clashing, or that Kalé’s quest was just not as interesting in the game as it sounds.
Another recent find revealed by Sekiro Dubi revealed that the guy on the cover, Vyke, originally had a questline as well, According to the datamine, Vyke was originally supposed to appear at Stormveil Castle via a summon sign just before the fight against Godrick. Some scrapped dialogue by Gostoc and an unused Godfrey character model declared at Stormveil Castle revealed that Vyke might have actually been there to take on Godfrey, the first Elden Lord.

How do I get more arrows for Elden Ring Reddit?
r/Eldenring – How to get many arrows I really do enjoy playing an archer and I’m working on maximizing my arrows. And figuring out which enemies are worth their runes in arrows. To craft 10 arrows, you need to kill 3 creatures and a bird. Each can be killed without arrows though they get scared off by non ranged attacks so arrows can actually be your best bet.
- Each creature takes 1 arrow to kill, but they won’t always drop bones! I’ve noticed birds almost always drop feathers though.
- So let’s say you have to use 5 arrows to craft 10.
- You’re doubling your arrows! But I’ve noticed grinding the same area seems to reduce drop rate, which can mess things up.
- Giants are not worth their kill for arrows.
They take a whole bunch of arrows to kill and though they drop a bunch of souls, at 20 runes per arrow, you can’t actually buy back the same amount. But! The storm veil castle random zombies? Definitely worth. They take 1-4 arrows to kill, and drop at least 100 souls.

Why can’t i craft arrows in Elden Ring?
How to craft arrows in Elden Ring – When you enter into the open world for the first time, you’ll need to follow the beam of light coming from the site of grace. It will lead you to a merchant named Kale. If you have just 50 runes, you can trade them for a Crafting Kit.
This won’t allow you to craft arrows by itself but buying Nomadic Warrior’s Kit for 500 runes will. This recipe book will teach you how to make Bone Arrows, Bone Arrows (Fletched), and Bone Bolts. You’ll also notice you can buy arrows from Merchant Kale for 20 runes each, but this can get costly if you go there repeatedly.
To craft fletched arrows, you’ll need to collect resources from the animals near the trader. The recipe for crafting 10 of those arrows costs three Thin Beast Bones and one Flight Pinion. You can find the bones by hunting nearby animals like deer-like creatures and the feathers by sneaking up on the birds perched on cliffs.
- There are also more advanced arrow recipes you’ll have to find cookbooks for.
- For instance, the Firebone Arrow requires you find Armorer’s Cookbook from the Nomadic Merchant.
- It costs six Thin Animal Bones and one Smoldering Butterfly to craft 10 of them.
- As you explore through The Lands Between and defeat stronger bosses, you’ll have the opportunity to learn several new arrow types like Poisonbone.
If you’re willing to explore enough, you may even learn about St. Trina’s Arrow, which causes a decent sleep buildup effect. When you learn to craft a particular type of arrow, you’ll usually unlock the associated bolt to go with it. This access provides you with the option to switch to a crossbow once you level your stats enough.

Can you craft arrows in Elden Ring reddit?
r/Eldenring – A quick and dirty guide on arrow types: First the simple stuff: Arrows are for bows, bolts are for crossbows, ballista bolts are for ballistas, great arrows for great bows. A fletched arrow does not do more damage, but it shoots further.
- Unless you’re sniping, there’s no real need to farm those feathers.
- Craftable arrow recipes are found by buying/finding cookbooks.
- The base merchant arrow does 45 damage.
- The standard crafted arrow does 35 damage and requires 3 thin beast bones.
- Most non-status effect arrows do around 100 damage for comparison.
Status effect arrows (poison, rot, cold, bleed, sleep) do around 30 damage + their effect buildup. Lightningbone arrows are the easiest to craft for the damage output. You can farm the mats fairly easily and early. Firebone arrows are also good, but I’d rather use the butterflies for bombs.
Rainbow stone arrows can be used as long-range markers. They’ll light up the area and helps with figuring out where you’ve been. Shattershard arrows make noise where land and can be used to lure enemies to a specific location. These are worth fletching and a must for anything stealth-based. Stormwing Bone arrows only work on weaker shielded enemies.
The guard break is sub-par, but some success may be seen with a fast firing bow. If you have lots of runes, Fire arrows and Golden arrows are purchasable later in the game for 120 runes each. Golden arrows are particularly strong against undead enemies.
