Getting started and actually reaching a proper ending is more difficult than you might think, though. If you want to get the most out of the Volcano Manor quest, you’ll want to start early. You need to spare Patches in Murkwater Cave back in Limgrave, then speak with him again at the Scenic Isle Site of Grace in Liurnia,

After you defeat Rykard – regardless of whether you join the Manor – everyone in the Manor leaves. That means you’ll miss Rya’s quest and all the loot gained from Tanith’s contracts.

How many times do I have to hit the wall in Volcano Manor?

Shortly after Elden Ring came out, players discovered, somehow, that a few of the game’s walls could be destroyed by hitting them roughly 50 times. We tested it ourselves, with 45 swings required on a wall in Volcano Manor, but it turns out this was a bug.

The walls have been fixed in the latest patch, as has a certain especially deadly little enemy. YouTube user Zullie the Witch tried the latest Elden Ring version 1.04 patch out to see if it fixed the not-illusory walls. It did, as they’re now apparently indestructable. They didn’t serve much purpose to begin with, as the Volcano Manor wall was simply another entrance to an easily accessible room.

Of course, it still had us wondering if it was a secret From Software put there on purpose. Additionally, Zullie confirmed the game’s bleeding dog enemy type has been patched so it doesn’t accidentally instant-kill you instead of simply knocking off a chunk of health via the bleed effect.

If you get surrounded by these enemies, they’re quite dangerous, but the bugged version was one of the deadliest enemies in the game when by itself. Elden Ring patch 1.04 changed a whole bunch of stuff in the game, though it didn’t have any major nerfs like previous updates. Incantations and sorceries have been adjusted, and the tutorial at the beginning has been made nearly impossible to miss.

Elden Ring – There Are No Downsides To Joining Volcano Manor – Elden Ring How To Get Through Volcano Manor Although the choice to join Volcano Manor in Elden Ring would appear to be of consequence to its story, players have nothing to lose from joining. Why won’t the 50 hit wall work?

Pour one out for the hundreds of Tarnished who threw hands with a wall. Elden Ring How To Get Through Volcano Manor It turns out that Elden Ring’s illusory wall that takes 50 hits to break was a bug all along, not an intended feature. Even by FromSoftware standards, that’s a little much, and it looks like the studio agrees. Players found a wall in Volcano Manor that could be broken to open up a needless shortcut to a room you could already access.

It wasn’t really worth the grind, although the grind was hotly debated – it takes 50 hits, you have to strike the right pixel, it depends on the weapon. The list goes on. But now it’s gone. As spotted by Eurogamer, a YouTuber by the name of Zullie the Witch decided to go back to Volcano Manor and swing at the wall a bunch of times following the latest patch, testing to see if it would still break.

Alas, it wouldn’t. The wall is now as indestructible as the rest. If you missed out on the fun, you can always postpone the update and swing to your heart’s content, but don’t expect a treasure trove of broken weapons or anything of note. The community coming together over an obscure glitch was what made the wall great, not necessarily what was behind it.

But it did also spark countless debates over difficulty and design. Speaking of debates. One of the hotter topics in Elden Ring is the tutorial, It’s not entirely clear that it’s there, being down a dark, derelict pit, leading into a winding cave full of enemies that may as well be straw mannequins. In the network test, it was darker with no hints, but in retail, there was a handy ghost telling you to take the plunge, egging you on.

Elden Ring – Walkthrough Part 47: Volcano Manor

For no reason at all though, a lot of people didn’t trust the ghost in the FromSoftware game. Go figure. So the newest patch also added a tutorial for the tutorial, helping new players figure out where to go if they want to learn the ropes. Or you can wander out and meet the Tree Sentinel.

Did the 50 hit wall get patched?

Elden Ring’s 50-hit fake wall was seemingly a glitch all along, and has been removed in the latest patch. If you don’t remember, the mysterious wall was first discovered in March and shook the community as, while illusionary walls are nothing new to FromSoftware games, one that only disappears after 50 hits meant that practically any wall in the game could be hiding a completely new area.

This wall in Volcano Manor didn’t appear to go anywhere exciting though, causing players to speculate if it was just an odd glitch, something FromSoftware has now effectively confirmed after the latest 1.04 patch turned it into a regular wall with no illusionary properties. apparently some fake walls in Elden Ring take multiple hits to reveal, and oh my god this changes everything (clip from user teristam on r/eldenring) pic.twitter.com/Jt8MNUDY0j — Iron Pineapple (@IronPineapple_) March 18, 2022 YouTuber Zullie the Witch returned to the wall after Elden Ring’s latest patch was released and found that FromSoftware has quietly made it solid again.

The latest patch therefore marks the end of an era for one of Elden Ring’s first, big strange secrets, and another may join it in obscurity soon. The Deathbed Smalls – a fancy pair of underwear only obtainable through hacking – were discovered around the same time but are now being used by trolls to soft-ban players,

  1. Elden Ring has dominated the gaming sphere since it launched in February and produced plenty of other bizarre stories though.
  2. Players have discovered a way to make one of the game’s toughest bosses defeat itself, a now-legendary player called Let Me Solo Her went viral after defeating Malenia for hundreds of other players, and someone has now beaten the game in under seven minutes,

In our 10/10 review, IGN said: “Elden Ring is a massive iteration on what FromSoftware began with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging combat to an incredible open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path.” To make those choices with the best available information, check out our guide that features everything you could ever hope to know about Elden Ring, including collectible locations, boss strategies, and more.

What wall in Volcano Manor takes 50 hits?

YouTuber Zullie the Witch has confirmed that Elden Ring’s latest patch fixed a bug wherein one illusory wall required upwards of 50 hits to break. According to YouTuber Zullie the Witch, FromSoftware recently patched out the fake Elden Ring wall that once required 50 hits to break through. Players stumbled across the 50-hit illusory wall in Elden Ring about a month ago, after someone went ham on a stone wall in Volcano Manor.

  • What most found peculiar was the hidden entrance’s lack of any real value.
  • It did not serve as a shortcut, either.
  • The well-hidden passage merely opened up to a room of cultish NPCs, a space players can freely access upon joining Volcano Manor at leisure.
  • Regardless of what lay behind the secret wall in question, Elden Ring users quickly grew paranoid, questioning what other fake walls might demand an absurd amount of strikes before revealing hidden areas.

Zullie the Witch cracked the mystery, though, later informing fellow Tarnished that the 50-hit wall didn’t actually require dozens of strikes. Instead, similar to Elden Ring’s other illusory walls, the 50-hit hidden entrance needed to lose a certain amount of hit points before it buckled – this particular wall boasted 9,999HP.

In other words, the Volcano Manor illusion constituted little more than a glitch. Elden Ring’s latest update, Patch 1.04, recently went live across all platforms, issuing a whole host of bug fixes and balance changes. The patch notes failed to mention one noteworthy fix, however – the 50-hit illusory wall is no more.

YouTuber Zullie the Witch (via Eurogamer ) tested the notorious location in Volcano Manor and found the fake wall no longer breaks, regardless of how many strikes it takes. As such, players can safely conclude a wall is real if it does not vanish after a single hit.

Zullie the Witch tested Elden Ring’s Volcano Manor illusion post-1.04 in the video linked below: Hopefully, the patched illusory wall glitch allows Elden Ring faithful to rest a little bit easier. Patch 1.04 adds other game-changing adjustments as well, with Colossal weapons receiving considerable buffs to attack damage, recovery time, and speed.

The latest update also puts a pin in the Patches questline, which users can enjoy upon encountering him once again in Murkwater Cave. Elden Ring hit store shelves earlier this year for PC, last-gen, and current-gen consoles to widespread acclaim. Its inventive approach to open-world game design especially garnered high praise.

Of course, the incredible lore in Elden Ring received plenty of applause in its own right. It’s no wonder, then, that FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco intend on exploring the IP beyond the world of gaming. Is there a way through Volcano Manor?

Abductor Virgin – Another way to reach this area is by getting teleported by an enemy. Do note that if you decide to take this route, you will have to fight a difficult boss, the Abductor Virgins, to move forward. If you spare Patches and talk to him at the Scenic Isle, he may mention an Abductor Virgin at Raya Lucaria Academy with teleporting abilities.

Make your way over there and find the water wheel elevator, just west of the Schoolhouse Classroom site of grace. Take it to the bottom and get killed by the Abductor Virgin in this area. You must be killed by a specific attack where it traps you in its iron maiden-like body. Using a Sacrificial Twig or Twiggy Cracked Tear effect will prevent you from losing runes while still teleporting you.

Doing this successfully takes you to a unique area within the Volcano Manor area. Hop across the lava flows and travel southeast, dropping down a few ledges along a lava waterfall until you reach a stonework structure. Go up the stairs to reach the Subterranean Inquisition Chamber Site of Grace, Loot the bodies in this area for Smithing Stones & and jump from pillar to pillar until you reach a small cave in the south. It may look like a dead-end, but walk near the back of the cave where there’s a crumbling section of ground and you’ll fall through the floor into another cavern.

The path here is quite linear. You’ll want to head south from here, where you’ll soon reach a fog door. Through this door are the Abductor Virgins, who drop the Inquisitor’s Girandole upon defeat. Their defeat also makes the Abductor Virgin Site of Grace available and allows you to exit the cavern to emerge into Mt.

Gelmir, From here, you can drop down to the Seethewater River Site of Grace, from which you can start exploring the rest of Altus Plateau. To head to Volcano Manor, travel north from the Seethewater River Site of Grace, hitting the Seethewater Terminus Grace. Travel through the Fire Monk camp and around the pool of lava (ignoring the Magma Wyrm nearby), and then follow the path that circumvents clockwise around the mountain, taking you past the Hermit’s Shack and to the Craftsman’s Shack Site of Grace.

Continue northeast through the Hermit Village, ignoring Demi-Human Queen Maggie and reaching the Primeval Sorcerer Azur Grace. Look northeast and walk over the narrow ledge, then drop down onto the plateau below. The door near you leads to the Gelmir Hero’s Grave if you need a quick checkpoint. Then, head north until you see a Mad Pumpkin Head, go northeast across the narrow ledge behind it, fight past a Grafted Scion, and ascend the ladder up the mountainside.

Take the next ladder you see on your left, fight through a camp of frenzied Soldiers (and Knight), descend north down a ramp, look west, and then cross the bridge to the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace. Jump up the Spiritspring or climb the ladder, ignore the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast at the top and leap off the narrow ledge extending from the western side of the arena.

Continue descending down the ramp past the Marionette Soldiers, making a U-turn and dashing past the Troll guard to enter Volcano Manor. Alternate route directly into Volcano Manor Hall: Right after you are captured by the Abductor Virgin, look to your right over the waterfall. The drop is non-lethal; it will take about half your health (ignoring lava damage) instead.

Go as far southeast along the cliff edge before jumping down into the lava below, then wade southeast down the lava (healing off any damage) until you reach a wooden platform with a cage lift. Ride this lift up, then look to your right to take a second lift up.

Travel up the stairs, past the Blackflame Monk, but before you enter the church ahead (contains a boss fight with the Godskin Noble ), look to your left for another flight of stairs going down. Descend it, push the lever to raise a metal bridge, then cross it to reach the Prison Town Church Site of Grace to enable fast travel out of this area.

You can travel up the hidden back passage from behind the altar and hit an illusory wall at the end of a dead end which leads into a room in the Volcano Manor, but you’ll be behind a locked door that can only be opened with the Drawing-Room Key, received on the other side.

Go back onto the bridge, then carefully hop onto one of the studs on the left side. From that, hop onto the wheel that hoisted up the bridge, and finally make a running (but difficult) jump onto the opposite balcony. You’ll pick up a Somber Smithing Stone (7) from the corpse. Run for the door you see, past the Iron Virgin, and from indoors, head down the stairs to a room with a corpse holding a Seedbed Curse,

Cross the long large room to pick up an Ash of War: Royal Knight’s Resolve, then head up the stairs to open a door that leads into the Volcano Manor main hall.
