A player arriving at Altus Plateau (Image via FromSoftware Inc.) The Grand Lift of Dectus is in Liurnia of the Lakes region of Elden Ring, Players can go there and offer the Medallions to the statues. This will put them together, and the lift will now be usable.
Get onto the Grand Lift of Dectus and ride it to the top. Once the very top has been reached, exit the lift, and players will have made it to the dangerous Altus Plateau location. How to unlock the Divine Tower of West Altus door in Elden Ring – To unlock the door at the Divine Tower of West Altus in Elden Ring, players must defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, and obtain his great rune. Once players have Rykard’s Great Rune, they can open the door to the tower and proceed to the top to power it up.

There are two ways to get to Atlus Plateau. You can either operate the Grand Lift of Dectus or work your way through a long and tedious cave called Ruin-Strewn Precipice, To operate the Grand Lift of Dectus, you need two halves of the medallion that activates the lift,
These two pieces, both right and left, are found in two separate Forts in the Lands Between. The left piece is found at the top of Fort Haight in Limgrave, This place is in South-East of Mistwood, The right half of the medallion is found at the top of Fort Faroth in Caelid, Fort Faroth is in North-East Caelid in Dragonsborrow,
With both pieces of the medallion in your inventory, you will get the option to ‘ Hoist Medallion ‘ when standing at the Grand Lift of Dectus. It will then teleport you to Atlus Plateau. On the other hand, the Ruin-Strewn Precipice is full of hundreds of enemies.
- It will start with crystal cave miners to creepy bad ladies.
- To get to this long and tedious cave, you have to access it from the small river North of Liurnia of The Lakes,

Once in Atlus Plateau, there are three main areas you can work towards. Leyndell Royal Capital is the main legacy dungeon that progresses the main story. Shaded Castle is a small dungeon full of poisonous enemies. Lastly, Volcano Manor is the second large legacy dungeon in Atlus Plateau.

The other method of reaching Altus Plateau involves making your way through the gorge directly to the left of the Grand Lift of Dectus. You can reach this path by warping to any Site of Grace in the water below the Academy of Raya Lucaria and heading north until you reach the mouth of the gorge.
- Eep following the path that snakes through this ravine until you come upon a large open area with a series of ruins, wooden buildings, and scaffolding – all of which clings to a sheer cliff face.
- There is a Site of Grace located at the foot of this massive network of supports and ladders, and players will want to rest there before beginning the long journey up to the Plateau.
The path forward is mostly linear, and players will have to ascend several ladders and elevators while contending with the various bat-like enemies that call this area home. Eventually, players will reach the very top of the scaffolding, and will find another Site of Grace in front of a fog gate that houses the “Magma Wyrm Makar” boss fight.
