Hold a straight line Whether riding on an open road or in a race, always look over your shoulder before swinging from one side of the road to the other. Before carving through a corner, always check your blind spot, especially in a race since the noise created by fellow cyclists isn’t always enough to alert you of their presence.
- Braking Despite the chorus of concerned mothers teaching their children not to use the front brake, lest they flip over their handlebars, relying primarily on the front brake is the best way to slow your bike.

So, if you brake while turning, less traction is left over to stick you to the road. To create a solid foundation, turn the outside pedal to the lowest position and press hard through it with your foot. Use your inside hand to lean the bike toward the corner by pressing down on the bar. Rather than watching your front wheel, look 5-10 meters around the corner.

- If you ride a road bike, lean over into the drops for extra leverage on the brake levers and improved balance between the two wheels.
- Two-by-two When riding with other people outside of a race, either line yourself up side-by-side or completely in front of or behind your partners.
Don’t allow your front wheel to partially overlap another rider’s rear (an unsafe position known as half-wheeling). The rider in front probably doesn’t know you’re there and can take you down with even a soft bump against your front wheel. - Cadence intervals: These intervals improve your pedaling efficiency and neuromuscular coordination. Use a lower gear and increase your cadence in 45-second bursts with recovery in between.
- Ride into headwinds: The weather rarely operates according to our training schedule, but if you find yourself facing headwinds, don’t back down. Keep pedaling with consistent, controlled effort. This is a great, natural way to build power.
- Increase your speed in a consistent gear: When riding faster, you use more power. A great way to become a more powerful and faster cyclist is by training to maintain a faster pace.
- Ride in a bigger gear at a consistent speed: Increasing your gear but maintaining your speed means you produce more power. Riding in a higher gear takes progressive practice, improving a few minutes at a time.
- Fuel right: Nutrition does affect performance. Eat lots of protein to fuel your muscles and avoid sugary foods that will make you feel sluggish.

- The woman may exit your car and run away if you get into a fight with someone, but you can usually crash the car without her leaving.
- 10 Enter the house. Once your character enters the house, the in-game camera will remain outside and a time-lapse sequence will begin while your character and the woman sleep together.
- 11 Call your “girlfriend” at any time. Once the time-lapse sequence concludes, you will receive a notification that a new number has been added to your phone; you can call this number at any time to meet back up with your girlfriend.
- Once in your phone, the woman’s number can’t be removed or lost.
- You can’t technically do anything with your girlfriend (e.g., go on dates) except meet up for a conjugal visit again.
