DBN_Stealth 11 months ago #1 would an occult or bleed infusion work on my weps with an arcane build? the weapons im using are whips that already have bleed on them initially without the infusion. im still kind of confused how occult works but i read that’s good on weps with bleed already on them so im not sure. thanks.
Ninja_Gaignun 11 months ago #2 Occult just means undead enemies die without needing to hit them when they are down. Increasing bleed is a bonus, just don’t rely on Bleed alone as some enemies and bosses are immune. Flight is Might!
Maiagare 11 months ago #3 If you have high arcane, occult will have a lot more AR and somewhat lower bleed. I vastly prefer occult over blood for high arcane builds. Occult is only really good for weapons that have innate bleed scaling, though. If a weapon doesn’t have innate bleed, occult won’t grant it bleed. But if it does have bleed, then occult will scale it higher. What a superb demon!

Hi Occult just makes your weapon scale with your Arcane stat, it doesn’t add any bleed or give any bleed scaling. Weapons that are infused with bleed OR unique weapons that also scale with Arcane will have their bleed chance increased by increasing your arcane. Personally on my Occult build I just keep a few bleed weapons on it to swap to as/when required and then I have all my normal weapons infused as Occult so they get damage scaling from my arcane. https://www.twitch.tv/WhamBam_tv

If you apply the Seppuku ash of war you will bleed enemies very fast. If you duplicate sepukku, and apply to both equipped weapons (dual wield) the bleed procs are insane.
Deadpool 11 months ago #6 if the weapon has base Bleed, Occult will add more Bleed per level. Not as much as Blood would, but Occult adds more physical scaling than Blood does. Occult does NOT prevent undead from reviving. We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons.

What does the occult affinity do in Elden ring?

What are affinities in Elden Ring? – Affinities are part of Elden Ring’s vast weapon customisation system, allowing you to alter the attribute scaling and elemental buffs of your attacks. There are a total of 12 affinities in the game, including the standard (no affinity) state:

Standard: A neutral state with no affinity. Individual weapons have their own default stat scaling that applies in this case. Heavy: Enhances Strength scaling at the expense of all other attributes. Keen: Enhanced Dexterity scaling at the expense of all other attributes. Quality: Slightly enhances and evenly balances Strength and Dexterity scaling at the expense of all other attributes. Magic: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but adds Intelligence scaling. Changes to split physical/Magical damage type. Sacred: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but adds Faith scaling. Changes to split physical/Holy damage type. Fire: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling. Changes to split physical/Fire damage. Lightning: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but enhances Dexterity scaling. Changes to split physical/Lightning damage. Frost: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but enhances Intelligence scaling. Adds Frostbite build-up to attacks. Blood: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but adds Arcane scaling. Adds Bleed build-up to attacks. Occult: Weakens the weapon’s default scaling but adds Arcane scaling. Prevents auto-revival of undead enemies. Poison: Enhances Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane scaling. Adds Poison build-up to attacks.

What does occult damage do?

Effects – An Occult infusion adds Magic damage to any given weapon as well as the Occult auxiliary effect. It also adds Faith scaling to weapons, while reducing Strength and Dexterity scaling. The Occult auxiliary effect deals extra damage to certain enemies and bosses – namely, to the Gods and their following.

  1. Note that the Occult auxiliary effect, much like Divine, is NOT a separate damage type like Fire or Magic, but rather a multiplier which increases any damage done by a weapon against the aforementioned enemies.
  2. For example: A weapon with 200 damage, and a Divine multiplier of 120 will do 1.2x the amount of damage the weapon would’ve done against regular enemies, and will thus end up dealing 240.

It also has slightly higher returns on AR than Divine infusions on most weapons on characters exceeding Faith level 30-40.

What makes Elden Ring bleed stronger?

Elden Ring Bleed Build: Armour and Gear – Armour isn’t incredibly important (for the most-part) in Elden Ring. So, provided that you can med-roll and have some protection upon your back, you can be as high fashion as you’d like. There are a few suggestions for pieces of armour that’ll benefit your attack power and Bleed build-up, though.

White Mask – I know I said armour is your own choice, but this head piece is perhaps the only item I’d suggest that you need for a Bleed build. Varre’s Mask can be acquired by defeating him (well, an enemy taking on the appearance of him) as an Invader by Mohgwyn Palace, and the mask will raise your attack power whenever blood loss is in the vicinity. Royal Remains Set – I’m naming this set solely because I think parts of it look cool with this build, and it’s passive ability can come in clutch too. The armour can passively regenerate HP whenever your HP is reduced – albeit, I barely noticed this, but again, the gauntlets and greaves look particularly neat teamed with Raptor’s Black Feathers. You can grab this set in Roundtable Hold after fighting with Invader, Ensha of the Royal Remains. Raptor’s Black Feathers – This piece enhances your jump attacks, and can be found in Sage’s Cave behind an illusory wall. Paired with the Claw Talisman, your jump attacks will be boosted further.

Is Occult Club good?

Notes –

The Occult club found in Anor Londo can be downgraded to a +5 Divine club, making it a powerful and useful weapon even for non- Cleric characters to fight the skeletons in the Catacombs and in Gravelord Nito ‘s boss fight. This is because skeletons are weak to Strike damage and will not revive when hit by a divine weapon.

Can Occult weapons be enchanted?

Overview – As a branch from the Divine upgrade path, Occult replaces the Divine auxiliary effect with Occult, Although it increases a weapon’s scaling with Faith, it also decreases the Magic base damage, resulting in dealing less Magic damage overall.

  • Additionally, it increases the base Physical damage without affecting Strength or Dexterity scaling.
  • Ultimately, compared to the Divine upgrade path an Occult weapon will deal slightly more equalized damage between Physical and Magic.
  • Like Divine weapons, Occult weapons cannot be augmented,
  • With large investments in Strength, Dexterity and Faith, a standard weapon enchanted with Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade will out-damage Occult weapons for the duration of the enchantment.

However, Occult weapons hold the advantage of not having to be enchanted to reach their maximum potential, making them more useful in the long term. Because they lack the Divine auxiliary effect, Occult weapons cannot be used to permanently kill skeletons found in The Catacombs and the Tomb of the Giants,

What is the best elemental damage in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring – Magic Damage Guide – What Does Occult Do In Elden Ring Magic is incredibly powerful in Elden Ring, and this type of elemental damage can topple most well-armored enemies that are resistant to physical attacks. Most damage-inflicting Sorceries deal magic damage, as well as a few Incantations like Glintstone Breath.

Crystal and Glintstone weapons tend to deal magic damage by default, and weapons like the Starscourge Greatsword and Dark Moon Greatsword will pack a powerful magical punch as well. However, like other types of elemental damage, players can add the magic affinity to their armaments with magic Ashes of War.

Armor sets like Lusat’s Armor and the Preceptor’s Set can grant players resistance against magic.

How do you get seppuku in Elden Ring?

How to Get the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring – In order to find Elden Ring ‘s Seppuku Ash of War, players must first reach the Mountaintops of the Giants. This effectively means that players will have needed to complete a fair bit of Elden Ring before they can claim the Seppuku Ash of War, due to the fact that players are obstructed from the Lands Between’s northeastern snowy peaks until they defeat Morgott. After the hard part is done and mandatory progression has been completed, players need only reach the Freezing Lake. The Seppuku Ash of War is retrieved from an invisible Teardrop Scarab on the frozen lake’s shore not too far from this site of grace, near a hill outcrop beside the cliff’s edge, so it is ripe for the picking.

  1. Fortunately, a simple trick in Elden Ring helps when trying to catch invisible Teardrop Scarabs if players have trouble timing their attacks as the Scarabs follow predetermined routes.
  2. Moreover, it should be noted that because the armament is penetrated into the player character’s stomach as part of Seppuku’s animation, they will suffer a bit of damage dealt to their health when activated.

However, the buffed status effect should be more than an incentive to do so if the player has concentrated their build around the blood affinity. Seppuku can be applied to many armaments, but it marries intentionally to blood-loss builds and armaments such as the samurai class’ katana, the Uchigatana, or Bloody Finger Hunter Yura’s Nagakiba,

  1. It is also advised that players keep to the left of the frozen lake to avoid the spawn point of Elden Ring ‘s Borealis the Freezing Fog, who appears in a chilly mist that blankets the lake once players step too far out onto it.
  2. Thankfully, this boss can be avoided entirely.
  3. Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

What is the strongest character build in Elden Ring?

Best Elden Ring Dex/Int build – What Does Occult Do In Elden Ring (Image credit: Bandai Namco)

Starting class: Prisoner Important stats: 50 Vigor, 25 Mind, 45 Dexterity, 45 Intelligence Weapons: Staves, Dex/Int-scaling weapons, parry shields

A hybrid Dexterity and Intelligence build is arguably one of the strongest builds in all of Elden Ring since you get the power of sorcery and the physical damage of Dexterity, as well as the benefit of having a very fast casting speed as well. You’ll be limited to smaller melee weapons since you won’t have much Strength, but that’s not a huge deal, especially if you get good at parrying and dish out some big crit damage with daggers.

Like other melee and magic hybrid builds, you’ll also want a good amount of Vigor and some Mind for HP and mana, respectively. You’ll also want to find yourself a strong weapon that scales with both Dexterity and Intelligence. These aren’t super common, but you’ll find several of them by exploring thoroughly.

Moonveil, for example, is an incredibly powerful Dex/Int weapon you can find by defeating the final boss of the Gael Tunnel dungeon in Caelid.

What weapon has the highest damage output in Elden Ring?

Other top Elden Ring weapons – What Does Occult Do In Elden Ring (Image credit: Bandai Namco) The weapons listed above may be the best overall weapons in Elden Ring, but they’re far from being the only ones you should consider using. There are plenty of other excellent weapons, too, including special armaments that are ideal for hybrid-style builds, highly adaptable ones that work well with a wide variety of playstyles, and more.

Cinquedea: Dagger that enhances the power of Bestial incantations when held. Reduvia: Dex/Arc dagger that inflicts heavy bleed and can fire blood projectiles with its Ash of War. Black Knife: Dex/Faith dagger with Blade of Death Ash of War that reduces an enemy’s max HP by 10% for 15 seconds. Sword of St. Trina: This quality scaling straight sword has heavy sleep buildup, allowing its user to stagger or sleep many different types of enemies. Claymore: Extremely versatile greatsword that scales well with most infusions and has a diverse moveset, including thrusts with one-handed heavy attacks. Default Lion Claw Ash of War is also very effective. Blasphemous Blade: Exceptional Strength/Faith greatsword with good scaling and a fantastic Ash of War that deals plenty of damage at range while also healing the user. Sacred Relic Sword: A deadly Dex/Faith greatsword capable of launching huge waves of holy energy with the Waves of Gold Ash of War. Excellent tool for farming runes in the late game. Greatsword: An excellent Strength weapon with a diverse moveset. Can be infused with different Ashes of War as well. Starscourge Greatsword: Powerful Strength/Int weapon with a deadly Ash of War that pulls enemies close to you and then blasts them to smithereens with a gravity explosion. Maliketh’s Black Blade: Highly damaging Strength/Faith weapon. Ash of War diminishes enemy HP by 10% like the Black Knife does. Antspur Rapier: Dexterity-focused rapier with good damage and intrinsic Scarlet Rot buildup. Rogier’s Rapier: Infusable rapier with great Dexterity scaling and a unique double thrust heavy attack. Bloody Helice: Dex/Arc Heavy Thrusting Sword with strong bleed buildup, high damage, and an agile moveset that includes the unique Dynast’s Finesse Ash of War. Scavenger’s Curved Sword: This weapon, when power stanced with another Curved Sword capable of bleeding enemies, can output some of the highest bleed buildup in the game. Wing of Astel: Unique Dex/Int Curved Sword that can fire magic projectiles with heavy attacks that don’t cost FP to use. Moonveil: Popular Dex/Int Katana weapon with good reach, high damage, and the exceptional Transient Moonlight Ash of War that allows the user to fire waves of magic energy in both horizontal and vertical arcs. Eleonora’s Poleblade: Essentially a Twinblade version of the Rivers of Blood. The Bloodblade Dance Ash of War inflicts lots of bleed while also allowing the user to dodge away from retaliatory attacks. Ripple Blade/Ripple Crescent Halberd: S Arcane scaling weapon with low base damage, but it can be buffed with spells or grease items. Useful for Arcane builds that want to use status effects, as the incredible Arcane scaling will make applied status effect-inflicting buffs more effective. Sacrificial Axe: Unique axe that gives the wielder a small amount of FP for each kill they get when it’s equipped, regardless of whether the weapon was used for the kill or not. Great Stars: Strength-focused Great Hammer that bleeds enemies, does good damage, and heals the user a small amount with each hit. Giant-Crusher: An exceptional Strength-oriented Colossal Weapon with some of the most damaging and poise-breaking heavy and jumping attacks in all of Elden Ring. Cross-Naginata: A versatile weapon that responds well to infusions, has intrinsic bleeding, and some Halberd-style attacks not typically found on Spears. Clayman’s Harpoon: An excellent Strength/Int Spear with the ability to inflict heavy Frostbite buildup. Serpent-Hunter: This weapon is meant to be used during the Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy fight, but since it has no stat requirements and excellent Strength scaling, it’s a popular Great Spear to power stance with the Lance. Golden Halberd: Phenomenal Strength/Faith weapon with superb damage and good scaling. Commander’s Standard: Strength-focused Halberd that has the ability to empower its user and their allies with a significant damage buff. Winged Scythe: Dex/Faith weapon with very high damage, bleed, and an Ash of War that stops other players from healing or replenishing FP with flasks. Hoslow’s Petal Whip: Deadly Dexterity-focused whip with high damage and bleed buildup. Cipher Pata: The fist version of the Coded Sword. Doesn’t weigh anything and has excellent Faith scaling and damage, though it has less range than the Coded Sword does. Serpent Bow: This bow has Arcane scaling and adds a poison effect to every arrow shot with it. Erdtree Bow: A unique Faith-scaling bow that does its best damage when paired with Holy Arrow ammunition. Lion Greatbow: A quality Greatbow that does excellent damage when used with Radahn’s Spear greatarrows. The Ash of War allows you to rain down volleys of arrows on opponents, similar to the way Starscourge Radahn does against you. Pulley Crossbow: This crossbow fires three bolts in rapid succession, making it ideal for applying status effects with Poison or Sleep Bolts. Beast-Repellent Torch: Holding this torch will make wild beasts regard you neutrally, which is often helpful in areas like Caelid. Sentry’s Torch: Makes invisible enemies like certain Black Knife Assassins visible, allowing you to fight them effectively. St. Trina’s Torch: This torch’s Ash of War will quickly put enemies to sleep, making it a very useful tool. Lusat’s Glintstone Staff: Has the highest sorcery scaling in the game, resulting in the best overall damage. However, spells cost 50% more FP to cast with this staff. Best used in boss fights with the Cerulean Hidden Tear and nuke spells like Comet Azur. Prince of Death’s Staff: This staff has the best scaling for Int/Faith hybrid builds. Clawmark Seal: Best seal for Strength/Faith builds, as it scales with both stats effectively. Also provides a boost to Bestial incantations. Golden Order Seal: Best seal for Int/Faith hybrid builds. Dragon Communion Seal: Best seal for Faith/Arc hybrid builds that utilize Dragon Communion incantations.
