Is Elden ring ok for a 13 year old?
Parent reviews for Elden Ring July 10, 2022 I’ve probably played myself more than most other adults on here (about 120hrs), and the things I think you’d need to consider are: Blood/Gore: 1) Mohgwyn Palace is literally soaked in blood and to reach it you have to traverse a lake of ankle deep blood (also has a collectable called “blood tainted excrement”).2) One of the major bosses (probably the first you’ll reach) is called Godrick the Grafted because he grafts the body parts of his vanquished foes onto himself and certain minions.
The dungeon leading up to that fight also features a ceiling from which dangle conglomerations of limbs.3) A character called the “dung eater” and his quest-line likely contains some disturbing material, but I haven’t been interested enough to find out.4) Late in the story, your companion character self-immolates.5) deep within various crypts are chambers of bodies wrapped up in the roots of a great tree.6) overall, the game is replete with gruesome images/concepts in most dungeons and storylines.
Dead bodies everywhere. While the game does have an option to turn blood/gore “off” (which I did from the beginning), it doesn’t seem to remove much. Sexuality: 1) Malenia (a very late game and optional boss that will likely only be reachable by highly skilled adult players) has a 2nd stage in which she’s entirely nude.
She’s decayed and as a result has no visible nipples or genitalia, but still quite nude.2) the final boss cutscene features breasts of a major character, again no nipples.3) a major plot point is that a divine character has both male and female identities, and somehow produces offspring. The lore was written by the guy behind Game of Thrones.
Miscellaneous: 1) the prominent divine figure is commonly portrayed in manner of crucifixion.2) although maybe there’s some way to justify calling the player character a hero, I think that’s a bit of a stretch. Each of the possible endings is largely morally ambiguous and motivated by self-interest rather than a valiant quest to overthrow evil or fix the world.9 people found this helpful.
April 20, 2022 Absolutely amazing game, could be rated T if you turn off blood and gore, definitely recommend it! 5 people found this helpful. April 11, 2022 I love this game, I’m not that big on video games most of the time but this was an exemption. Me and my mom went to Walmart last week and he was begging me to get this game.
It said it was rated mature so I got it to try myself to see if it was ok for him to play. After playing it for quite a while I came to the conclusion that this game should be at most rated T, I’m almost completely done with the game and there has been no language at all.
- There is blood because of the usage of swords, hammers, axes and, a bit of magic but there is an option in game to turn off blood and gore.
- There is one boss that you fight where her second form has her only covered in scales but I’ve seen worse in T rated games, there is no drugs or alcohol in the game.
This is probably the best game I’ve played ever and I don’t understand why how stuff is rated these days. So in conclusion if your ok with some violence and a woman wearing scales then I think a child from 10-11 or over would be perfectly fine for this game.3 people found this helpful.
- July 14, 2022 Great fantasy game for most Children 10 and up.
- Not very much blood and all in all a great game.
- This title has: 2 people found this helpful.
- May 18, 2022 There is virtually no sex/nudity or profanity, and there is no drinking or drug usage.
- The main concern is Violence, which, while bloody, isn’t graphic (No detachment of limbs or extremities, etc.) The game is quite humbling, and is probably the best FromSoftware game for your kid to start off with, if they’re interested.9.5/10 game; beautiful graphics, strong storyline, and lots of fun.
This title has: 2 people found this helpful. March 30, 2022 An excellent game which can provide an intellectually stimulating challenge for a mature child. This is a complex RPG with very little guidance or hand-holding. For example there are no quest markers on the map, nor is there anything like a quest journal, so the player needs to pay close attention to any information they are given and make intelligent inference from it.
The combat is challenging, requiring good reactions, patience and a understanding of the underlying systems. There are many different approaches to melee and ranged combat possible and several distinct styles of magic. The game features some blood and physical violence, but not in a manner that I would consider disturbing.
I would not consider the game to be scary, the enemies are monstrous but also fantastical and do not convey a sense of threat. My son is a smart and mature 9yr old, he is about 1/3 through the game and has been really enjoying it. I have enjoyed watching him figure things out for himself, and we share tips! Due to the challenge and complexity, I would only recomend the game for children with a decent amount of prior experience of both action orientated games and also games with rpg elements (e.g.
Understanding stats and levelling up). This title has: 2 people found this helpful. March 28, 2022 In Elden Ring, you explore a vast open world, complete with side quests, boss battles, loot, and dungeons. The combat has blood/bloodstains, but nothing worse than a T game. If you’re worried about whom the character is fighting, you fight humanoids, beasts, animals, ghosts, wizards, giant hands, knights, dragons, and more.
Even though Elden Ring uses blood sparingly in its combat design, due to many of the enemies being mythical beasts and ghosts, not all of the enemies even emit blood, although parents should note that when ghosts are attacked they spray a white fluid.
- As for nudity and sex, the only thing even hinting at being suggestive is a boss where the only thing covering their body is scales, but I’ve seen worse in E10+ games.
- The main part of the game that is violent is the environment, with corpses and body parts littered throughout, but if your child has played games with a dark environment, such as Dead Cells, it will be fine since its dungeons are about equal in terms of disturbing imagery, such as dismembered body parts and corpses.
But, as mentioned before, there is absolutely zero gore and/or dismemberment in combat, just blood splatters that appear on screen for about a second before disappearing and creating a bloodstain on the ground. If you’re concerned about language, I haven’t noticed any swear words so far, but according to the ESRB, there are two instances throughout the span of the game where sh*t is said, which is about as many swear words as some PG movies have, so you really don’t have to worry about swearing in this game.
- The one thing parents should watch out for is during the boss fight: Godrick the Grafted, when the player gets the boss down to half of its health, it will initiate a cutscene where he proceeds to chop off his arm, rip a dragon’s head off of its body, and place it on his severed arm.
- But, this can be easily solved, since you can skip through the cutscene with just the press of a button, so when your child reaches the boss fight, be sure to be in the same room as them so you can skip the cutscene.
Lastly, there isn’t any usage of drugs or alcohol in the game, so you don’t need to worry about characters getting intoxicated or smoking. Other than that, there isn’t anything parents need to worry about, so if your child is 11+, I’d recommend Elden Ring, since it has a great story created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R.
Martin, buttery-smooth combat, and a gorgeous, huge open world that will leave players in awe.2 people found this helpful. December 31, 2022 My kids got good grades so I got it for them. This title has: 1 person found this helpful. December 31, 2022 My kids love this game. I personally think that the rating for this game should be lowered, as there’s no sex/nudity and you can turn off blood in the settings. It’s a really well made game, and since i’ve bought it there’s been no difference in their behavior.

Should I let my kid play Elden ring?
Kid reviews for Elden Ring July 28, 2022 When you hit enemies, blood flies but you can disable this from the menu. There’s no dismemberment or gore. The enemies are not humans (but two late game bosses are). The only thing that gives this game a higher rating is the fact that it is for the mature.
If you get easily angry or give up quickly it’s probably not for you. A lot of this game is difficult and requires you to keep trying and be patient, and it can make you very angry. There’s no sex/nudity or bad language. Overall this game is great and a 10/10 with no blood/gore (if you disable it) but it requires patience and maturity.2 people found this helpful.
February 16, 2023 good game. very hard so don’t get it if you don’t like hard games. very violent, like, very. although if you get Elden ring it does teach you how to take a break.8/10. also little swearing.1 person found this helpful. November 3, 2022 This title has: 1 person found this helpful.
- October 24, 2022 This game is fantastic.
- I have enjoyed all 100 hours of playing this masterpiece.
- This title is very enjoyable but is brutal, since blood flies everywhere when the player gets hit, or the player hits an enemy.
- Blood can be tuned down, or turned off completely, but it is still present in cutscenes or on the occasional crucified, burned or hung up body or limb.
This game is HARD, i’ve had to sit back and take a breath every once in a while, just to calm down. If your kid gets frustrated easily or if you get frustrated easily, I dont recommend this game, so breath of the wild or jedi fallen order are great alternatives.
- Elden Ring has a dramatic brutal yet captivating story; however, the story is very loose in the game, but there are plenty of lore videos on YouTube.
- I wont touch on the sexual elements of this game, but there isnt really a problem, there isnt any nudity.
- Overall this game is amazing, brutal yet captivating.9/10 game.
If you are 13 or above, this game is great.1 person found this helpful. September 11, 2022 Teaches you how to get maidens 1 person found this helpful. June 28, 2022 Amazing game. Probably the best gaming experience I ever had. Probably also the best gaming experience you or your child will have if you decide to play this game.
You turn off the blood effects (Blood splashes out of the enemy when you attack them.) or set it to mild (The blood turns black.), it isn’t that violent in terms of openworld roaming. There are some things you can’t turn off though. For example, cut scenes. I’ll try not to spoil too much, but there is a scene where a snake is digging into a person’s head, a scene where a boss cuts off their arm and takes out a dragon’s head to replace it, and a scene where a boss rips apart a lion with his bare hands, and is afterwards fully covered in blood.
There is also a boss who gets pretty much naked in her second phase, and has only scales to obscure her breasts. There are also some very disturbing lore attached to a few NPCs in the game. There’s an NPC who kills people and defiles their corpse. When that person dies, they are tied to a chair with a bloodied rag in between their legs.
- In open world roaming, there can be some corpses laying on the floor when you walk into some caves or catacombs, but I didn’t think it was too big of a deal.
- I think it’s unlikely that anyone under 14 or 13 will be suited to play this game.
- It’s also a very difficult game unless you go on youtube for over powered builds and cheese strats.1 person found this helpful.
May 28, 2022 This game is a masterpiece of modern gaming, however it requires patience and maturity. If you child is prone to fits of rage I wouldn’t recommend this game for them, as it is, just as the rumors say, punishingly difficult. The graphics in this game are top-notch, the gameplay is superb, the many different storylines are very fun and immersive, and the sound design spectacular.
- I recommend this game for anyone who can take the difficulty.1 person found this helpful.
- February 8, 2023 Most of the parents say theres blood, etc, the blood isnt much of a real blood texture, its just a bit of blood until you get far in the game, which without help most kids wont, leading to the fact that they can still play.
Graphics 10/10 Gameplay 10/10 Rage-Inducing 10/10 Weapon Choice 10/10 January 15, 2023 Elden Ring is one of those games where it’s really fun, but it’s so confusing and so hard that the only plot is killing everything that’s get in your way or dying while doing so.

Why is Elden ring PG 16?
Elden Ring is a role-playing fighting game set in a fictional world, with a focus on combat similar to Demon’s Souls but with an open world like Zelda Breath of the Wild. The game is set In The Lands Between, ruled by Queen Marika. The Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree and the natural order of life, has been shattered.
- Marika’s offspring have claimed its six shards.
- The shift of power has triggered a war, but an endless war where no one dies.
- For years this has raged on, destroying the planet and any sense of humanity.
- Your task is to hunt down these demigods, reclaim the shards and restore order to the world.
- The world is split into six areas, each of which has a large demigod to defeat.
You need to be ready to take on each one through developing your skills and equipment, but you can choose in which order you fight them. You can upgrade abilities as you progress through the world either purchased from stores or acquired from characters you meet.
- The world is full of characters to meet each with their own motivations for helping or hindering your progress.
- How you deal with these inhabitants, and how you dispatch the demigods will affect the fate of the cursed land and unravel its secrets.
- Rating This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features strong violence.
“This game features realistic violence, involving human and fantasy characters. Characters can be knocked backwards and stunned by attacks, with large blood effects being used. When defeated, characters fall to the ground where their bodies remain. There is a scene in which a monster with multiple arms severs one of these arms with an axe.” Online You can leave messages for other players.
In cooperative play, you can summon other players into your game creating teams of up to four. You can password protect your game so that only people you know can appear. In competitive play, you enter another player’s game if they accept your challenge and then fight to the death.

Is Elden Ring too violent?
If your child is asking to play Elden Ring, and after checking the age rating, you decide they are not old enough, there are some brilliant alternatives to discover. Pick of the crop for youngsters looking for some fantasy exploration is Submerged Hidden Depths, but there are a lot of others to choose from.
- Submerged Hidden Depths Screenshot Uppercut Games Elden Ring is rated ESRB Mature 17+ for Blood and Gore, Language, Suggestive Themes and Violence.
- As ESRB highlights, “players use swords, spears, axes, arrows, and magic to enemies; combat is highlighted by cries of pain, splatters of blood, and impact sounds.
The game includes depictions of gore: collectible items that include severed fingers and tongues; a boss character cutting off its arm; severed arms hanging from a ceiling.” Along with this, the game’s Terms of Service for online aspects of the game require players to be 20-years-old or get parental consent.
What’s the right alternative for your child depends on what attracted them to the idea of the game in the first place. If it’s exacting combat that was the draw, there are games like Unto The End, Dead Cells or Tails of Iron that offer tough combat but at a less graphic ESRB Teen rating. If it’s the open world experience of the game, Breath of the Wild i s a good alternative.
Less well-know, however, are games like Subnautica or Sable where you explore vastly different environments. Or perhaps the vast openness of space in No Man’s Sky, If it’s the co-operative aspect of the game, where you go up against enemies with other players.
A good alternative here are games like Valheim or Sea of Thieves (ESRB Teen) that let you team up with people for a variety of adventures. These are all good alternatives, but I was recently asked by a mother of a 9-year-old what I would suggest instead of Elden Ring, He had been playing what he’d called the “Elden” game in the playground at school and was now asking for the game.
Submerged Hidden Depths Screenshot Uppercut Games Many of the games above are rated ESRB Teen (13+) so weren’t good alternatives for a younger player. After some consideration I suggested Submerged Hidden Depths, At first he was suspicious that this wouldn’t live up to the fantastic adventure tales of the playground.
However, within a matter of minutes he was hooked. Submerged is an open world game where you explore a flooded landscape. You work to uncover what happened in the world as you play a brother and sister who awake on a strange island. Submerged Hidden Depths Screenshot Uppercut Games You slowly find seeds that turn the dark alien tendrils, that are pulling down buildings, green and full of life.
In this way you slowly bring the world back to vitality. But as you do you realise there is a dark story behind all this. Complete with a very Elden Ring looking creature to defeat. Here though, the defeat is through exploration and collection rather than super-tough combat.
- There’s the same sense of wonder at the creativity on display, but without the sorts of things highlighted by the ESRB ratings for Elden Ring,
- In fact, Submerged Hidden Depths is ESRB E for Everyone.
- Submerged Hidden Depths Screenshot Uppercut Games It also has some good accessibility features such as single handed control mode and a helpful map that leads you through the world with markers and a telescope that guides you towards finding more.
The telescope feature worked well for a pass-the-controller co-operative play. It meant that the 9-year-old’s younger brother could play as well by taking charge of the telescope to find where to go next before they set sail again. Submerged Hidden Depths is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for around $29.99.

Can you play Elden Ring without killing?
Elden Ring is the first FromSoftware game to be beaten without fighting a single enemy Published: 2022-04-11T19:47:47 Updated: 2022-04-11T19:47:47 Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s largest game to date, but it is also the most broken giving players the ability to beat the game without fighting a single enemy.
- Speedrunning, in a general sense, is a fascinating portion of gaming, especially when examining the Souls games.
- These titles require inherent skill to beat, so watching people play these games perfectly while attempting to beat the game in a half-hour is a feat to behold.
- Games like Dark Souls, Sekiro, and Bloodborne are known for their intense boss fights and precise combat.
But speedrunning has found a way to make these bosses feel less intimidating, and sometimes they are skipped entirely. Article continues after ad Nonetheless, players always end up having to face at least one of these bosses when speedrunning. That is until runners found a way to break Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord without laying a hand on a single foe. From Software Elden Ring’s main goal is to defeat enough shard bearers to become the new Elden Lord. If you’ve been keeping up with Elden Ring speedruns, you know how wild it’s been over the past month. The run went from 1 hour to less than 30 minutes in the span of a week.
Now, it seems like every other day the run has one or two minutes shaved off. At the time of reporting, holds the record at eight minutes and 56 seconds. While a normal playthrough can take upwards of 100 hours to complete, runners have broken the game with two mechanics. Article continues after ad The first is a wrong warp.
This is where players warp to an area they haven’t discovered by quickly exiting the game during the teleport animation. The second, and most crucial to the run, is, The zip is done by running the game at exactly 60 FPS by lowering the game’s resolution.
Players then hold a great sword or shield in the blocking position and tap forward to the beat of a metronome. When done correctly, the player will fly across the map for a certain distance. WORLDS FIRST SUB 9 MINUTES IN ELDEN RING. I cant believe this game ended up being so broken. Sound crazy yet? We’ve only just scratched the surface. Before this week, runners had to defeat the four bosses at the end of the game: Maliketh, Hoarah Loux, Radagon, and Elden Beast. Then, players discovered the zip could be used to skip all bosses except Maliketh.

Is Skyrim suitable for a 13 year old?
Parent reviews for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim July 14, 2012 Well I play some games with my sun before I let him go off and play it alone. This is one of the first games he got that I kinda enjoyed. Other parents may sometimes do what I do and look at the back and say “No” but ESPB (whatever it’s call) sometimes get strict.
- There is not much Sexual activity.
- There is a bit of cleavage not bad though.
- You can also get married in the game.
- Your wife doesn’t really play a role though.
- All she does is follow you around and make you food and give you money now and then.
- Also the game is violent which is about the only reason it is “M”.
The alcoholism and beer can be compared to a different game like “Sims” they only is it in certain areas like bars and taverns, not people walking around selling beer to random kids. Lets get back to the violence. The worst thing I have seen is stabbing a dragon in the neck.
- Surprising the same amount of blood as assassinating someone in halo (Halo is a good game that has an extreme LACK of blood). In my opinion a 12 and above would be okay for the game.
- If you allow them to play games like Sims (Sims probably have more sexual content then this game) Gears Of War (A really bloody game) or DeadSpace your kid should be mature enough to handle the game.
Thanks for reading. This title has: Too much drinking/drugs/smoking 3 people found this helpful. November 7, 2021 It’s a great game, that discourages killing, stealing, and hitting people. This game has swearing but the swearing is the same as you would see in a PG movie.
The gore is very fake. The violence is hitting enemies, who attack or steal from you. This game has loads to do and it’s very fun This title has: May 13, 2021 So, this game is rated M for Mature. That’s wrong on so many levels. My son, 15 at the time, asked me if he could buy this game. Now, I looked at it and was a bit skeptical so I did a bit of research.
He got the game the next day. Relax, this game is fine for kids. If your child has matured past fifth grade I think this game will be fine. It is a violent game, yes, but nothing worse that the Lord of The Rings series. Most of the time you are slaying beasts and not humans.
This game does have some swears hidden in there, but nothing your child hasn’t heard before. If you let your kids watch Marvel superheroes movies they’ll be able to handle this no problem. Drugs and alcohol? It’s a fantasy game, of course there’ll be potions and ale, things you often see in teen rated games.
And, of course, the adult content. Probably the main reason parents are skeptical about this wonderful game. However, my boys have played this game countless times and I’ve even watched then play some, and we’ve never seen anything not safe for young boys.
- I did a bit of research, and the main reason I’ve found this game to be rated M is because of mods, which are essentially downloadable content for games.
- Some of these mods include content that would not be good for young boys.
- However, these mods all are either scams that will do nothing, or have been erased from the internet.
Also, mods are hard to download. Like, really hard. You can also get married in this game, but that’s about it. If you explored every single library and town in this game, the worst you’ll find is a piece of literature with swear words. Nothing bad. In conclusion, this game is great for mature kids ages 12+ Thank you for taking the time to read this, Christine.
This title has: May 13, 2021 This title has: Too much drinking/drugs/smoking March 2, 2021 So ill start off with a very quick overview and get deeper in, I’m 20 years old but have been playing this game since I was 10, the reason why I boosted the age above when i started playing is because I think someone who is under 12 would not understand some of the more complex mechanics in how the game works, nothing mature but just things that they wouldn’t understand making the experience worse for them and the other reason is that when i was 10 playing the game there was some enemies that did scare me such as the draugr which are sort of embalmed dead warriors.
Sex and nudity there is none, most you get on people is underwear, there is a woman’s bedroom in the game who has a animal tusk under it and that has shackles on the headboard but these are things that the person playing would only understand as sexual if they were aware of what they are used for already, you are able to marry in the game (same sex couple too although there are none in the game by default) and when you sleep in the same bed as your wife or husband you get a black screen and then when you wake you get a status effect called “lovers comfort” which can be rationally determined to be an innuendo for sex however you see no breasts or anything of that sort.
there are books in the game that mention sex out of the ones on the top of my head there are “Notes on Racial Phylogeny” which mentions sex in a scientific way like a biology class would, “the lusty argonian maid v1 & 2” and grouped with it “the sultry argonian bard” Argonians are a race of lizard folk in the game series and these books are erotic novels however they do not use graphic detail only making innuendos like “putting a loaf in her oven” and “polishing his spear”.
Rape is mentioned a couple times in the game there is a man in a town who mentions that a soldier attempted to sexually assault his daughter, there’s a type of vampire called a daughter of coldharbour and one of the main characters in the dawngaurd DLC is one of these and their creating involves being sexually assaulted by one of the Demon kings in the game however you do not see this and it isn’t even explicitly stated that that’s what happened just subtly told.
There is a Goddess of sex but its loving sex and the description is always left at intimacies or the Dibellan arts. I will add a caveat to this in that both Nude and Sex mods are attainable but only on PC and someone under the age of 14 may struggle to even understand how to download them, they are not supported by the creators of the game and are created by other players who have skills in creating new textures in other programs that are not involved in skyrim so if your child has it on PC just check their game if you worry about nude mods the easiest way to check this would be to remove the clothes or armour off of a dead female in the game or off a female player character.
other than the mild sexual themes there is some bad language B*stard is said once or twice, B*tch too, no F bombs or S bombs damn is said often but that’s not bad language where I live but I know some people don’t like it. Rape is used as a term to refer to how one group exploits silver mines in a region of the game but this is literally said once in a specific line of dialogue which is easy to miss.
- The only other type of swearing that is used are things like “By the Nine” or “By the Gods” but these Gods are all things created by the game makers and are not real Gods in any culture, they are however real in the games universe.
- The Violence is pretty standard and cartoonish the worst that there is would be the two beheadings that are seen in game as executions but the texture is just a low quality pink flesh and there’s minimal blood.
when using a Melee weapon that will become bloodstained in combat but a small amount and it looks more like a thick reddish sauce than real blood. There are immoral groups in the game and different sides you can join some of which are more explicitly evil than the others.
there is a civil war in the game and you can choose which side to join and fight for, there is a guild of noble warriors which turn out to be werewolves there’s a mages college you can join to learn more magic, there is an assassin guild that you can join in the game too and this does involve in the murder of some innocent people, and there is a guild of thieves however they do tend to be a bit more robin hood than anything else.
in the dawngaurd DLC there is some more evil things as you can become a vampire and drink peoples blood and in their castle the vampires have human cattle but this is a choice the player makes as they can join the holy warrior order to kill the vampires.
All in all its a great game and has kept me entertained for a decade there are some complex mechanics that a younger audience my struggle to grasp and some adult themes that some more middling ages teens would get but nothing about this game is overt or explicit. This title has: February 12, 2021 I’ve played this game several times.
If you play it with your kid it can be a good bonding/learning time. Complex choices, consequences, and logic. Be patient. It’s good. Nothing beyond the capabilities of a basic reader. January 1, 2021 The violence in this game is probably what a lot of people are worried about.
- But, it’s not that bad at all.
- I got this for my 13 year old son, and he has really been wanting it and I watched him start up the game.
- The game starts with a medieval beheading.
- But, the beheading is far away, so you can’t really even see it and it’s not that violent.
- Then, a dragon attacks and you need to escape the town.
During the game, you are attacking mostly inhuman creatures such as, goblins, giant spiders, giants, etc. When you are attacking them no visible wounds get on the creature, it just leaves some blood on your sword, there is not even blood splatter on the ground.
- If you get to a high enough level, you can do finishers.
- These are epic things you do to finish off the enemy.
- Some of them include impaling the creature with a sword or beheading them.
- But they look ridiculously fake.
- Sense the game is old, it looks really glitchy and it looks like the sword doesn’t even touch the creature.
The blood just looks fake as well, it is really dramatic. I also don’t know what common sense is talking about with the rape and stuff. My son and I have explored the whole map and there is none in it. So, I think this game is good for 12 year olds and up.
I have no clue why it was rated mature. And if you are a parent that is apprehensive about their teen/kid playing this, it should be completely fine. November 26, 2020 100% 12+ let my kids play it’s fine you gotta trust me This title has: November 26, 2020 So my 12 year old daughter went to school and came back asking for this game, I said no it’s a 18+ but she insisted on me doing some researching on the game so I did.
After all that I let my daughter play it as long as I watched her the only bit I would say is graphic is the beheading but that only happens once. And it is so obvious to know it is happing that you can close your eyes if it’s THAT bad for your child.
- That is literally it no foul language unrealistic blood and alcohol can be avoided but let’s be honest your child has seen you drink Alcohol.
- And if your worried about it making them a killer just think of this “if you played fifa it wouldn’t make you a football player, which means a violent game wouldn’t make your child violent” this game is fine for 12+ This title has: November 19, 2020 I was sceptical about letting my child play a 18+, oh was I surprised why it was rated 18+ it has barely anything bad in it! Just the Violence which if your kid is not scarred by these things it’s 100% fine for them! That’s why I think anything under 12 would get scared by the violence but if your child is mature enough it’s fine.
And that Alcohol things is absolute rubbish! But really going from one parent to another this is fine to let your 12+ kid play. : Parent reviews for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The game is rated M/17+ for a reason. For ‘kids’ you’d want G rated content. As kids are those aged 12 and younger. There are decapitations, executions, alcohol and drugs in the game.

Can a kid play Dark Souls?
Parent’s Guide: Dark Souls | Age rating, mature content and difficulty Parent’s Guide Xbox 360, PS3 14th October, 2011 By Ian Morris Overall Everybody Plays Ability Level Content Rating
Violence and Gore: Extreme Bad Language: None Sexual Content: Minor innuendo
Parent’s Guide Dark Souls is a game that offers a challenge like few others. A dark fantasy role playing game, there’s actually very little in the way of story behind the game, as you find yourself in a world attacked by all manner of undead creatures, and it’s basically up to you to survive for as long as possible, as you explore the vast, dark world.
The thing that sets Dark Souls apart, and also makes it hard to recommend for children, is in its difficulty. Designed to be tricky, your child will find themselves dying, repeatedly, over, and over, and over again. If your child has a short temper, or is somewhat lacking in patience, then this certainly isn’t the best suited game for them.
- Having to take on the same boss several hundred times is frustrating for most people.
- Bonfires act as your checkpoints as you explore the game’s world, but they’re few and far between, and come with a series of trade-offs.
- Although they replenish your health and magic, they also bring any enemies you’ve killed so far during your game back to life.
On the plus side, though, if your child doesn’t give up on Dark Souls too quickly, they’ll find a game that encourages you to think strategically, and plan out each and every move you make in advance. Forcing you to constantly be on your guard, you’ll have to be vigilant, and constantly have an escape plan in mind for when things go wrong.
Mature Content Along with being an incredibly hard game, Dark Souls is also rather gory. Armed with all manner of medieval weaponry, from swords to maces and crossbows, as you defeat your undead/zombie foes, large spurts of blood will fly freely, adding a grizzly touch to the game’s already dark styling.
There’s also some minor nudity on display, as one of the game’s bosses is a topless half-human monster, whose breasts are covered only by her hair. Family Multiplayer Sadly, Dark Souls is probably best viewed as an entirely single player game, at least from a family perspective.

Why are there no children in Elden Ring?
Home PC Action RPG Elden Ring
(Image credit: FromSoftware) Your Jellyfish Spirit Summon in Elden Ring has their very own grave, and a heart wrenching backstory. Okay, brace yourselves. In Elden Ring, the cycle of birth and death is completely broken, ruined by the shattering of the Elden Ring.
- Consequently, people don’t just simply die and vanish into the afterlife (or whatever actually does await them), but one interesting question remains unanswered: what happens to children? It turns out, children become jellyfish when they die in Elden Ring.
- Yes, those jellyfish you’ve been killing throughout Elden Ring are actually children, who can’t die ordinarily.
Instead, they’re sort of cast into a weird purgatory, which renders them to appear like jellyfish for some ungodly reason. This includes your Jellyfish Spirit Summon. The jellyfish in particular that you’ve been summoning an as ally in The Lands Between is called Aurelia, and as it happens, one player actually found their grave in Elden Ring.
- In the Mountaintop Cemetery region of Elden Ring, you can find a grave dedicated to Aurelia and Aureliette.
- As it turns out, one real-world species of jellyfish is actually called Aurelia.
- So Aurelia’s name sort of translates to jellyfish, in a strange twist.
- This, as one commenter on the subreddit post above put it, is sort of like calling a fish “fishy.” But it doesn’t end there! It turns out you can actually reunite the sisters: as the video below showcases, Aureliette is awaiting Aurelia at the Stargazers’ Ruins near the north of Freezing Lake.
All you need do is speak to the former in jellyfish form at the Ruins, then summon the latter as you would do for battle. Yeah, perhaps we’ll be needing a trip to the turtle pope to redeem ourselves after finding this out. Elden Ring hides many tragic details behind the scenes, but perhaps none are so tragic as the jellyfish you’ve been murdering throughout the game, and the Spirit Summon you’ve been using, are actually dead children.

How do I stop my Elden Ring from bleeding?
Hemorrhage Effects in Elden Ring – A Hemorrhage occurs when the amount of bleed damage (also called blood loss) becomes higher than the target’s Robustness, causing immediate damage and consuming the effect. The damage is equal to a percentage of the target’s Max HP.
Hemorrhage inflicts 15% of a normal enemy’s max HP plus 100 or 200 damage depending on the weapon used. Most (but not all) bosses will take 10.5% of a boss’s HP plus 100 or 200 damage depending on the weapon used. There are no cooldowns or other limits in place to prevent Hemorrhage from being repeatedly, and/or instantly triggered. Hemorrhage’s build up can be slowed by raising your Robustness stat, increasing the amount of bleed damage required to trigger the effect. Robustness can be improved by adding points into Endurance,
The Damage Type inflicted by Hemorrhage’s activation is unknown, and doesn’t seem to be reduced by any type of Defensive Stat,
Hemorrhage buildup can be eliminated by consuming Stanching Boluses, or by the Incantations of Bestial Constitution and Lord’s Aid,
Compared to other Status Effects, Hemorrhage has several unique mechanics which drastically reduce the viability of the above options in most situations, especially during Player-versus-Player,
How do you stop the blood curse Elden Ring?
Mohg, Lord of Blood boss phase one – Phase one of Mohg’s fight is the easiest by far. You start off on opposite ends of the arena. Begin by summoning your Spirit Ash, and keep in mind that you have two uses of Mohg’s Shackle in the phase, In this phase, Mohg has a small set of attacks.
You can dodge or block his trident attacks, which can be delayed. His Blood Claw attack is more deceiving, because it essentially has two forms, Regardless, every Blood Claw attack will deal damage if it connects, and cause an explosion in the space. If you dodge one, you might not be able to dodge the other.
Keep an eye on his left hand, The front-handed Blood Claw attack is the easiest to avoid, as the animation is slower and better-telegraphed. It’s typically followed up by a trident swipe. The back-handed version is followed up by a trident rushdown. This charge will deal damage along the way, and on the final hit of the animation.
The back-handed Blood Claw typically comes out faster than the front-handed version. If you dodge away to avoid the claw attack, you can dodge into him to escape the trident charge. Occasionally, Mogh will reach into the air with his left hand, creating a shower of blood. Simply move away to avoid it.
Outside of that, Mohg has two other trident attacks in this phase. The first sees him plant it into the ground, When you spot him doing that, dodge away from where the trident was planted, as you will take damage when he pulls it out. The boss also raises the trident to create a brief blood shower and buff it for a single move.
Both are easily avoidable by rolling away. During this phase, Mohg will cast a curse mark (red ring) around you on several occasions, There’s no way to dodge this or get rid of the effect, but you’ll hear him shout Tres, Duo, or Unus with each one – and each signifies reaching a certain health threshold.
Drink your Flask of Wondrous Physik with the Purifying Crystal Tear at any point during the first phase to remove the curse effect. If you don’t, you’ll suffer heavy bloodloss during the second phase. Mohg will still recover health in the second phase, but at least you’ll survive.
