  1. The stat requirement for this spell is 24 Intelligence and it serves well in Elden Ring PvP as well as PvE.
  2. Stars of Ruin is a spell that feels a little OP and the community has a widespread distaste for it.
  3. Star Shower is a fun spell to try out in PvP as it does the same thing as Stars of Ruin but does it at a low FP cost, which makes it viable for those long duels.

For players getting into a Sorcery build, this is a popular spell and has a ton of uses.

Why can’t i equip Founding Rain of Stars?

Where to Find Founding Rain of Stars – You won’t be able to obtain Founding Rain of Stars until you’ve defeated the final boss in the Leyndell, Royal Capital and arrived at the Mountaintop of the Giants. If you aren’t at this point in the game, then don’t worry about getting this spell right now. How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring Once you arrive, approach the statue by the blocked gate and read the message. It will tell you that the snow marks something unseen, which can be comically vague given the entire area is covered in snow. However, you actually won’t find the solution on this side of the cliff, so open up your map and warp back to the Freezing Lake Site of Grace just north of this tower. How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring As you ride up the hill through the graveyard, you’ll see an arch with two skeleton archers on it. Approach this arch and kill the archers, for they will otherwise be a pain in your side while you’re solving the riddle. Once the archers are dead, face the tower and turn to the broken bridge. How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring As you get closer to the tower, you will see a faint blue mist along the left. This marks a smaller ramp that leads up and into Heretical Rise. Slowly walk up the curved ramp towards the balcony until you reach the tower. Inside will be two small winged puppet monsters that will aggressively attack once they spot you.

  1. They are quite weak but can pack a big punch.
  2. Because of this, quickly kill the one on the left before the second joins in.
  3. Now head upstairs and take the elevator to the top floor.
  4. Follow the staircase around the edge, kill the spear enemy waiting for you, and enter the last room.
  5. There will be a chest containing the Founding Rain of Stars spell.

This spell requires 52 Intellect to use and can be equipped at any Site of Grace. Additionally, you’ll have to clear up some space for it since it takes up two spell slots. Personally, I only recommend doing this if you have a lot of Memory Stones to ensure you can hold multiple spells.

Is the meteorite staff the best?

5 Meteorite Staff – How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring

Stat Requirement
Strength 6
Intelligence 18

The Meteorite Staff is unique in that it can’t be upgraded at all. Normally, that would make it completely useless. However, its base scaling is exceptional. It’s easily the best staff in the early game. And conveniently, it can be accessed almost right away by going to the Street of Sages Ruins in Caelid.

Braving Caelid is a daunting task for a new player, but the Meteorite staff is a worthwhile reward, even if you need to make a suicide run to get it. It’s worth noting that the Meteorite Staff isn’t completely useless in the late game either, since it boosts Gravity Sorceries by 30 percent. These Sorceries, Rock Sling in particular, are among the better options in the game.

If you’re planning on focusing your build around them, holding the Meteorite Staff in your off-hand will give you a substantial boost.

What is the strongest spell in Elden Ring?

4. Comet Azur – How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring Comet Azur is not simply the most potent Elden Ring spell, but also the most overpowered strike in the entire game. Elden Ring’s Kamehameha spell, Comet Azur, is similar to that. It continuously fires a large beam that is strong enough to kill bosses in a single blow.

Due to how much damage it delivers, commit Azur has been hailed as Elden Ring’s easy mode by many. The only restriction is that comet Azur needs 60 intelligence, but the wait is worthwhile. For pure casters and builds with high intelligence in Elden Ring, Comet Azur is a no-brainer. It almost causes the game to crash due to its strength.

The telegraphed nature of Comet Azur’s moveset, however, makes it of little use in Elden Ring’s PvP. Comet Azur is without a doubt the best PVE spell in Elden Ring for PvE. By speaking with sorcerer Azur close to the bonfire in the Hermit settlement on Mount Gelmir, you can learn how to use this Elden Ring spell.

What magic has the longest range in Elden Ring?

Loretta’s Greatbow – How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring Loretta’s greatbow is basically the sniper of Elden Ring. It is a magic bowshot that deals considerable damage and has the most range among every ranged attack in the game. All this comes at the rise of a very high casting time but that is where Radagon’s Icon shines.

  1. Due to its high range and damage, this Elden Ring spell is best used for clearing out long range archers/annoying enemies for its high damage can clear enemies very quickly.
  2. It can also be charged up indefinitely for higher damage.
  3. All in all, Lorreta’s greatbow is one of the best Elden Ring spells for PvE.

For the same reasons as Comet Azure, Loretta’s greatbow lacks in PvP. Also, if you progress far enough into the game, you get to fight Lorretta before Melania and you get an even more beefed-up version of this Elden Ring spell that shoots multiple magic greatarrows at once.

Does malenia do magic damage?

Elden Ring Malenia, Blade of Miquella boss fight walkthrough – Like most late-game bosses, Malenia has two phases. The first is a straight-up sword fight. Malenia has no magic or ranged attacks in this phase. This is just a pure duel to the death in melee, with fast, high-damage flurries of strikes.

  1. However, Malenia also heals herself on hit.
  2. It doesn’t matter how much damage she does, it doesn’t matter if she hits a Spirit Ash summon, it doesn’t even matter if you block the full damage of her strike.
  3. If her sword touches you or your allies, Malenia will recover around 200 health.
  4. This makes every hit all the more punishing and turns many summons into liabilities.

When you empty Malenia’s health bar, you will be greeted with a cutscene in which she transforms into her Goddess of Rot form. She’ll recover about three-quarters of her health bar, then quickly strike with a dive-bomb attack. Malenia still recovers health on hit in this form and gains a suite of new ranged, scarlet rot attacks.

Most of her abilities will apply scarlet rot build-up, but leave her more open to counterattacks. Malenia has one attack, in particular, you need to watch out for, which she can use in either phase. This is the already infamous Waterfowl Dance, a swirl of sword strikes that hits multiple times and tracks the target throughout the combo.

While this deadly attack may seem unavoidable, you can negate it with some tricks, which we’ll cover below. You can also watch our guides editor Ollie defeat her in the following video.

Did malenia get a buff?

Home PC Elden Ring

Evidence of the Orduvis Greatsword’s improvements first popped up on Elden Ring (opens in new tab) ‘s subreddit community, clocking up an impressive 2,000+ upvotes as Elden Ring players marveled at the sword in action.

  • This was done on my Holy damage build.
  • Demigods are supposed to be very resistant to holy damage,” the OP explained after sharing the video.
  • Apparently only my incantations didn’t do much damage.
  • My sacred ash of wars can do quite a bit of damage to her.
  • So far this cheese only works in Phase 1, I can’t quite get it to work in phase 2 yet,” they added.

“Looks harder than it is because the timing to stagger her in phase 1 is precise. Slightly earlier or later and her hyper armor will kick in, preventing a stagger. “It should work in phase 2, after all, her poise doesn’t change. “I initially planned to end the fight with a nice wave of gold, but Ordovis Vortex is just too strong.

  1. Still a nice clean finale,” they concluded.
  2. They super buffed it!” Here’s a clip of the greatsword in action: orduvis_greatsword_is_great_in_107_stunlocking from r/Eldenring After months of preparation and effort, one player has defeated every boss in Elden Ring without taking a single hit (opens in new tab),

How do you beat Melania as a sorcerer?

Elden Ring From Very rarely am I desperately trying to beat content so I can sit down and write a guide for it, but in order to explain how to actually beat Elden Ring’s hardest boss, Malenia, as a mage, I had toactually beat her first. Well, after a few hours of trial and error between last night and this morning, I’ve done it.

And I will share how I did it with you, as once I figured out a few things, it got a whole lot easier. So, I’m a mage, and while the Malenia fight is rough for anyone, it is especially so for someone who has to wind-up casts and where most of their spells plink off her like they’re nothing. Here are the core components of my kit, most of which you will get a result of Ranni’s questline at one point or another: Elden Ring From Black Knife Tiche ( get her here ) – This is one of the best summons in the game and a perfect counter to Malenia.

She will dodge enough so Malenia will not auto-feed health off of her on-hit, and her cursed blade move will do significant DPS and offset a lot of her healing. Greenburst Crystal Tear ( get it here ) – Boosts stamina recovery in the mixed physick Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear ( get it here ) – Boosts Magic damage in the mixed physick Bloodhound’s Step ( get it here ) – This was essential.

  • I should have been using this long before now, but I put it on a pair of claws, and it allows you to drastically out-dodge most of Malenia’s attacks, even her craziest ones, for just a small amount of FP.
  • I don’t think I could have beaten it without this.
  • Make sure you put your staff in your offhand so you can actually use this on whatever you put it on.

I had it on claws. Carian Regal Scepter ( get it here ) – This is my maxed scepter that makes my Dark Moons do bonus damage. Primal Glintstone Blade ( get it here ) – This reduces FP cost for a bit of health for more moon spam. Ritual Shield Talisman ( get it here ) – This reduces damage when you have full health which is great for Malenia’s chunking.

Cerulean Amber Medallion +2 ( get it here ) – Big FP boost Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +2 ( get it here ) – Big physical damage reduction, as all Malenia’s damage is physical, although if you get caught in a combo, nothing will save you.6 Crimson, 8 Cerulean Potions – This was the distribution I did, not really set one way or the other.

Snow Witch Hat ( get it here ) – This gives a 10% bonus to cold spells (my Dark Moon). The rest of your armor doesn’t really matter but I had a medium load. Ranni’s Dark Moon ( get it here ) – This was the phase 1 spell I spammed. Comet Azur ( get it here ) – This was the key phase 2 spell.

  1. Terra Magica ( get it here ) – This I put down right at the start to shoot moons out of for a big damage boost.
  2. Phase 1 Strategy: Enter, summon Tiche, drink Physick, put down Terra Magica, start spamming Dark Moon.
  3. On a good run, Tiche will keep doing damage to her and knocking her down as you blast her with moons.
You might be interested:  How To Get To Mogwhyn Elden Ring?

On a bad run she will spam her Waterfowl Dance move and you will have to do the Bloodhound Step boogie to avoid as much of it as you can. Try and make sure you head into phase 2 with full mana. Dead From Phase 2 Strategy: As soon as you spawn in, stay locked on, run toward Malenia to be directly under her (I know, it’s less crazy than it sounds), then turn hard right and keep going.

This should have her miss you with both phases of the move. Drink a mana potion if you have it, unleash Comet Azur and hold the button down (you can also use the FP eliminating Physick here as an alternate strategy). This will BURN through Malenia when she’s frozen for a short while after her flower. Essentially you’re just going to want to then dodge (mostly using Bloodhound’s Step) until she flowers again, which she should do if you’ve gotten her down to decently low health.

You can Bloodhound Step sideways on repeat to dodge all the clones of her one attack. For her advanced Waterfowl Dance I did not learn the pattern of that and got lucky she didn’t have time to use it during my victory run. Hopefully she will flower again in short order and you dodge it the same way, and hit her with another Comet Azur the same way, which should be enough to kill her.

  • Alternatively you can luck out throwing a few moons if she’s going after Tiche, but you really don’t want to give her time to heal off either of you too much.
  • Comet Azur is the main trick here as I don’t think you will be able to survive long enough spamming moons alone unless you pull off some truly crazy defensive dodges.

And there you have it, I beat her. It was easily the hardest fight in the game by a factor of ten. I think the most I died on any boss before this was probably 7-8 times on one of the cosmic centipedes. Here? This was 30-40 attempts easy. But it’s possible! And if I can do it (I’m not very good) you can do it too with your mage.

You can either wait until you make your way to this region through regular means and access the ruins by travelling north of the Aeonia Swamp Site of Grace, or you can head to Dragon Burnt Ruins in Limgrave, which you can travel to quickly by foot or horse from The First Step Site of Grace. If you’re navigating from Dragon Burnt Ruins, there is a staircase leading underground. Be wary of the rats and open the chest inside. How do you get Carian phalanx?

Where to find Carian Phalanx – Carian Phalanx can be purchased from Preceptor Seluvis at Seluvis’s Rise in Liurnia of the Lakes for 6,000 runes. In order to reach this area of the biome, you’ll need to fight your way through Caria Manor in the north, defeat the boss there, and then exit out the back of the manor. How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring Seluvis’s Rise Seluvis must first be talked to in his spectral form at Ranni’s Rise, which is the westernmost tower in the area behind the Manor. It’s here that you’ll begin Ranni the Witch’s questline -of which Seluvis plays a fairly meaningful part.

  1. Once you’ve spoken to him as part of the quest, you’ll be able to find him in his own tower in the southern part of the area behind the manor.
  2. Here, Seluvis will ask you to deliver a potion to Nepheli Loux.
  3. At this point, you can return to Roundtable Hold and opt to give her the potion, speak to Gideon Ofnir and have him dispose of it, or hold onto it and follow the Dung Eater questline and give it to him closer to the end of the game.

The decision you make will tie into part of a much larger quest, but your goal of obtaining Carian Phalanx is simply to make one of those decisions and then return to Seluvis. Once you’ve decided how to handle the potion situation, Seluvis will provide you with a shop featuring a few exclusive sorceries.

Among them is Carian Phalanx, which you can purchase for 12,000 runes. Note: Alternatively, you can wait until you’ve completed Ranni’s lengthy questline, at which point Seluvis will be deceased, allowing you to obtain his bell bearing at Seluvis’s Rise. You can take Seluvis’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and buy all of his sorceries there, including Carian Phalanx.

Where is Loretta’s mastery?

Where to find Loretta’s Mastery – Loretta’s Mastery can be obtained by defeating Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree in Miquella’s Haligtree. This optional late-game area requires obtaining a few pieces of a medallion and taking a special lift to a well-hidden biome. Luckily, you can follow our Millicent Quest Guide to track down everything you need and get you to the Haligtree. How To Get Stars Of Ruin Elden Ring Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree Once you’ve made your way to the Haligtree, you’ll be in for quite a challenge. You’ll need to fight your way across some branches and make your way down the tree through a series of platforms and buildings filled with difficult and sometimes cleverly-placed enemies who seek to keep you from descending.

It’s a mostly linear trek down, though, and once you reach the bottom, you’ll encounter Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree. Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree is similar to her spectral form that you fought earlier in the game at Caria Manor. As such, she’s surprisingly easy for a late-game encounter, with very choreographed attack patterns that can be dodged with little effort.

Melee users can make short work of her by just blocking her physical attacks and rolling through her fairly slow magical projectiles. Ranged and magic users should have an even easier time by just staying mobile. When she falls, you’ll get Loretta’s Mastery for the trouble.
