To solve the puzzle of Ordina, Liturgical Town in Elden Ring, the player must light four candles held by statues in the Evergaol. The first can be found south of the Evergaol’s portal. To reach it, run forward and jump over the railing and onto the ledge on the left.
Drop down on the stairwell and leap over another fence to climb a ladder beside a blue torch. Ascend the ladder to, Look across from this spot to see the next candle tower in the northeast. However, when the player traverses the rooftops, an archer will begin firing burst projectiles at them. Take cover and only approach when the enemy is nocking their next arrows.
This archer has high HP and can deal stagger damage that will two or three-shot Tarnished if they aren’t careful. Kill the opponent and ascend the tower to light the second flame. The third candle is on the western side of Ordina, atop a tower with a ladder behind the building.
Another rooftop archer will be guarding the area nearby, along with the mentioned early. Try to find a stealthy route to light the third candle, avoiding at least the archer as much as possible. The fourth candle is in front of the town’s entrance on the right. Lighting this flame will be the most dangerous due to the assassin.
Rush down and light the candle to be teleported back to the real world. Once all the candles have been lit, Tarnished can proceed to the Haligtree. To get to Ordina, you’ll want to port to the Inner Consecrated Snowfield Site of Grace and head north until you get to the town’s Site of Grace. Ordina, Liturgical Town, has a puzzle that requires you to enter an Evergaol and light candles on four statues located around the town to access its secret. advertisement
- It is highly recommended to equip the before exploring Ordina, as it allows you to see invisible enemies roaming the town. You can purchase one from the Hermit Merchant in the for 7000 Runes.
- You don’t have to have the required stats for the Sentry’s Torch’s effect to work. You could also equip the torch and dual-wield your right-hand weapon, and the torch’s effect would still function.
- Using Soft Cotton or the Black Knife Set can help you maneuver your way into the town more quietly. The latter is located below the long staircase that leads from the Evergaol to the sealed room.
- From the town’s Site of Grace, make your way up the following two sets of stairs and turn left—the Evergaol is next to Imp Statue. Enter the Evergaol and make your way down to the town’s square. Be ready for a Black Knife Assassin patrolling the nearby area; they are incredibly agile but easily staggered. The first statue is right in the middle.
- The second statue is located above one of the central buildings. From the first statue, make your way west until you get to the stairs towards the western part of town. The ladder is hidden in a narrow path that you can get to by jumping on the railing. Climb up that ladder and the next one; be especially careful of the Albinauric Archers on the roof, as this statue is exposed, unlike the others.
- For the third statue, jump down from the Evergaol and make your way to the westernmost part of the town. There is a ladder you can climb located behind a building (look for a blue-flame torch). Climb that ladder and the next one to find the third figure.
- The fourth statue is the most difficult to get to due to the Albinauric Archers that will barrage you with arrows. Climb up the first ladder from the westernmost building (third statue). Make your way to the Albinauric Archer in the middle—you can run and jump to her roof. After getting rid of her, run and jump once more until you get to the balcony with the ladder. Climb up and crouch as soon as you are on that roof—two Albinauric Archers will start shooting at you, so try your best to get an angle to heal and get ready for the next move. What you want to do from here is aim for the one on the left; either run at her or shoot your arrows/sorceries/incantations. The ladder leading to the final figure is next to her—climb up, light the candle, and the seal will break.

Renna’s Rise is blocked off by a magical barrier, not unlike those seen in Sellia, Town of Sorcery or its Hideaway. Head back towards Ranni’s Rise and get to the top to speak with Ranni and begin her questline. You will be charged with uncovering Nokron the Eternal City with her servant Blaidd.
After progressing his questline and defeating General Radahn a star will shatter the ground north of Fort Haight, opening up access to the upper areas of Nokron. Head down the pit carefully and you will reach the Siofra River Aqueduct. Head through here, defeat the Mimic Tear boss, and hug the left-hand side of the grassy area to avoid the Worshippers and find a Site of Lost Grace tucked behind a rock wall.
You will see a roof below the Grace here – jump down and fight your way through Silver Tears as you descend to the bottom where you will see a gigantic skeleton statue. Defeat the Silver Tear Giant and pick up the Fingerslayer Blade in a chest beneath this statue.

- If you choose the former, her quest will end here, but if you choose the latter, defeat her sisters in combat and then return to your own world.
- Head over to the summoning stones again, then drop down to where Millicent is on the ground.
- Speak to her, and she’ll tell you that she removed the needle.
- NOTE: Some players have reported that jumping down too close to Millicent can cause her to take damage and die.
Be careful in how you approach her! Reload the area or rest at the Site of Grace and make your way back to where she was sitting. Millicent will now be laying dead on the floor and you will be able to retrieve the Unalloyed Gold Needle from her body.

This turns out to be Albus, who will give you an important key item for your journey. Hit the pot to reveal him. Before exhausting his dialogue, he will give you a key item, the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right), Speak to him again, exhaust his lines, and he will eventually die due to old age.
