What does Gowry want Elden Ring?
Gowry’s Involvement With Millicent – Millicent has a rotting sickness with no cure, and Gowry’s biggest wish is to cure her of her ailment. Gowry claims that he raised her as his daughter after he found her abandoned as a baby in the swamp of Aeonia. Gowry had previously adopted four children with hopes of nurturing them to “flower” as scarlet valkyries for the Empyrean demigod Malenia the Severed, although they did not turn out as anticipated.
Upon finding Millicent, Gowry believed she had the greatest potential of all his children to bloom, so he adopted her. However, due to the Scarlet Rot afflicting Millicent, she has no memory of Gowry and thus feels no connection to the Elder Sage. As an adoptive parent, this has to be the most heartbreaking ordeal for Gowry to go through.
He developed a close connection to Millicent throughout her growing years, only to be robbed of any relationship with her due to the external influences of the Scarlet Rot, Showing parental instincts, Gowry feels a sense of responsibility and worry for Millicent’s fate, wanting to save her from her illness after he failed to save her sisters.
This is quite the task, as Gowry notes that even demigods with their near-immortality could not resist the rotting sickness. He is looking to enlist a Tarnished to help him in this uphill fight against the forces plaguing Millicent, offering knowledge of the secrets of Sellia as a reward for the player’s help.
Once the player agrees to Gowry’s request, Gowry informs them of Millicent’s dire situation as a hostage at the Church of the Plague, located on the cliff overlooking Sellia. She is held captive by the Pests, who worship her because they believe she is a vessel for the Scarlet Rot.
However, the player needs to collect an important item called the Unalloyed Gold Needle before embarking on the mission to rescue Millicent from the cult-like Church. The Unalloyed Gold Needle will need to be retrieved and brought back to Gowry to fix before being given to Millicent to help her fight against the Scarlet Rot.
Players will have to travel a bit to get the Unalloyed Gold Needle, as it can only be retrieved by defeating a field boss, Commander O’Neil. After successful retrieval, Gowry keeps his promise and shares the secrets of Sellia before requesting the player go to give Millicent the needle.

Is Millicent a malenia?
Elden Ring – Millicent Is The Daughter Of Malenia – While progressing through Millicent’s questline in Elden Ring, she even admits to believing she is related to the Rot Goddess, though not knowing if she is either a daughter, sister, or ” offshoot,” Gowry more directly confirms that Millicent is the daughter of Malenia, although he continually refers to her and her sisters as ” buds ” rather than daughters.
- Because buds are essentially offshoots of a greater plant, this suggests Millicent and her sisters are akin to budding flowers off of the plant that is the Scarlet Aeonia – that is Malenia.
- In turn, Millicent is essentially both a daughter and extension of Malenia.
- This is why her invader version uses the same Waterfowl Dance that Malenia does and also why she blossoms into a flower of the Scarlet Rot upon being betrayed by protagonist.
But more importantly, Millicent’s relation to Malenia shows that she lost her arm because she grew in the same pattern as Elden Ring ‘s Goddess of Rot. Next: : Elden Ring: What Happened To Millicent’s Arm

Can you summon Millicent for Melania?
Millicent’s locations in Altus Plateau and how to find Valkyrie’s Prosthesis – To the north of the Grand Lift of Dectus when you first enter Altus Plateau, you’ll find the Site of Grace for Erdtree-Gazing Hill (a Golden Seed is also nearby). Millicent will be standing just a little to the north looking out over the plateau.
You’ll find this in the Shaded Castle to the north. You can reach it by following the route north of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace through a ravine flanked by Mt. Gelmir on the west and a higher part of Altus Plateau on the east. While there’s a boss you can fight inside the castle, this isn’t actually required to advance Millicent’s quest, as the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis is in a chest in the most northwest room in the castle.
The entrance to the castle is from the southeast where you’ll also find a Site of Grace. Drop down and follow the poisonous swampy route west and you should reach a ladder you can climb up.
Once at the top, if you look forward, you’ll see you can still go deeper into the castle. However, there’s also a path making up the castle’s inner ramparts. Follow this path and it will lead you to a room in the most northwest of the castle. There’s a Cleanrot Knight guarding this entrance so take him out first and then go in then open the chest to grab the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis.
Return to Erdtree-Gazing Hill and give the prosthesis to Millicent. Exhaust her dialogue and next time you see her she will be wearing the prosthesis, which means you can even summon her in battle. Millicent will head further north so to get her to appear again, head to Windmill Village in the north of Altus Plateau.
Once you’re in the village, head up until you get into a boss fight with Godskin Apostle, He shouldn’t be too difficult to take on. In any case, you’re in one of the easiest areas to farm runes so the grind should be simple if you need it.
When Godskin Apostle has been taken care of, rest at the new Site of Grace that appears and Millicent will appear nearby. Speak with her until you’ve exhausted her dialogue then leave to continue with the main story campaign.

Does Millicent quest end the game?
Challenging or Assisting Millicent – If you challenge Millicent, you’ll get Millicent’s Prosthesis for defeating her. You will also find Gowry dead if you return to his shack. If you assist Millicent, you’ll receive the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and be able to return to the summoning stones to speak with her some more.
If you choose the former, her quest will end here, but if you choose the latter, defeat her sisters in combat and then return to your own world. Head over to the summoning stones again, then drop down to where Millicent is on the ground. Speak to her, and she’ll tell you that she removed the needle. NOTE: Some players have reported that jumping down too close to Millicent can cause her to take damage and die.
Be careful in how you approach her! Reload the area or rest at the Site of Grace and make your way back to where she was sitting. Millicent will now be laying dead on the floor and you will be able to retrieve the Unalloyed Gold Needle from her body.

What boss is in Mohgwyn Palace?
Mohg, Lord of Blood Boss Fight – Mohg, Lord of Blood is one of the toughest optional bosses in Elden Ring, He has powerful and far reaching physical attacks, mixed magic and physical damage, and many bleed inflicting spells, and that is BEFORE you even reach his much more powerful second phase.
To prepare you will want high defense and a good 100% physical block shield. Also consider some defensive talismans, like the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman or Pearldrake Talisman, Before doing this boss fight it is highly recommended that you complete the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds (aka Leyndell Sewers) or at least go there and find Mohg’s Shackle, an item that temporarily stuns Mohg and makes the first phase of this fight infinitely easier.
It is located at one of the lowest points of the sewer, in the swampy area with the giant lobsters. If you battled Mohg in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds you will already be familiar with this phase of the battle, but if not here is a little refresher:
If he claws the area in front of him a small explosion will appear after a delay. Wait a beat then dodge roll backwards to avoid the damage. If he reaches behind and charges up the spell the explosion will be bigger but focused directly in front of him, making it easy to side step and strike him a few time. If you are far out of melee range, he will summon a magic rune above him, reach into it, then quickly fling a wave of blood at you. You can avoid this by simply rolling toward the blood as it is flying toward you. If he reaches into that same magic rune and holds his hand there for a second or two he is about to summon his blood rain. You can punish this attack with one or two hits from behind, but once the blood actually starts raining you need to step back to avoid getting caught in the damage cone. Almost all of Mohg’s melee combos are three hits long, so make sure you aren’t trying to punish or guard counter until the very end of the sequence. Be even more careful of the ground stab, which has a second hitbox when he pulls the spear out of the ground. The most punishable attacks are the overhead slam and forward thrust. Both of these can be dodged by simply rolling into him before the weapon makes impact, allowing for a few hits before he will follow up.
advertisement Upon taking 15-20% of his health in damage, Mohg will thrust his spear into the air and do a diagonal slash which can be avoid by simply strafing to his offhand side or behind. Even if you avoid this attack a blood ring will appear around your character.
He will do this each time he loses 15-20% of his health, until you have three rings on you. At this point he will activate the rings, causing three instances of highly damaging bleed that restore Mohg’s health. You basically need to chug flasks between the instances of bleed to survive, then get ready for phase two against the newly refreshed Mohg.
There seems to be an opening here to kill Mohg before he has the chance to activate the blood rings and enter phase two, but the timing is tight. You need to get him down to about 60% of his total HP, to the point where he will activate two of the three rings.
- Activate all your damage buffs, use Mohg’s Shackle to stun him, then start laying into him with your most damaging combos.
- If you can burn his remaining 60% health before he can break the shackle and cast the final ring you can end the fight before phase two.
- Some things that can help: a Bleed weapon, Ash Summon, damage enhancing items, Flask of Wondrous Physick buffs, and damage focused accessories.
Even if you don’t have the damage or execution required to kill Mogh in phase one it is still a good idea to try and maximize your phase one damage because that will mean he starts with less health in phase two, meaning less time you have to phase this hellish foe.
In phase two Mohg grows wings, his attacks gain even more bleed and magic damage properties, and he starts mixing in some new attacks. His base moveset remains mostly the same, except now his melee swings fling blood that deals extra damage and he likes to fly around in the air when casting spells. If you are using a shield you just have to eat this damage and stay on top of health management between his combos.
He seems to be a bit more unrelenting here as well, so it will be harder to create distance and heal when needed. Some new additions: the thrust attack now has a second instance of damage where Mohg twirls the spear to fling blood, and the explosion after the ground stab is bigger and even more damaging, so strafe around and get away from it by any means necessary.
He also likes to mix in a long range, multi-hit thrust attack when you are far away, which he telegraphs by leaning back with both hands on his weapon, slightly flapping his wings, then dashing forward. It seems best to dodge to the side when you see this one coming. Same goes for his uppercut into ground slam, which ends in a similar explosion to the ground stab.
It is tempting to try and punish, but it is best to just stay back. So that all sounds pretty dangerous, so when do you hit him? Like usual, the move is to wait for the overhead slam attacks. If you stand outside his melee range you can tempt him into two highly punishable attacks: his long range slam where he holds his spear by the very end and slams it down in front of him.
- Dodge roll forward and you can get in a few easy hits.
- There is another variation of his where he jumps into the air before slamming the spear down, similar concept, similarly punishable.
- The other is his flying uppercut into thrust.
- This is the thrust that does NOT result in a ground stab explosion.
- Dodge into him as he comes down to ground level and you can get in some more free attacks.
And of course, you can still get in a hit or two when he casts the blood rain or claw explosion, if you are quick enough to avoid the hitboxes. All in all, it’s a hard fight but one that can be simplified with the right approach. Never stay in his melee range too long or you may just get caught in his blender of melee attacks and die to stray bleed damage.

Is Malenia weak against anything?
Malenia is weak to Fire attacks, Bleed status effects, and weapons – Malenia is most vulnerable to Fire attacks and has less resistance to Bleed attacks than she does to most status effects. This works out fairly nicely, as weapons that specialise in Bleed and Fire tend to be fairly fast-hitting, like whips and the Hookclaws, which builds into the aggressive strategy we’ll outline further on.

What does killing Gurranq give you?
Elden Ring Gurranq, Beast Clergyman Notes & Trivia –
Long ago, Gurranq was a beast of such terrifying ferocity that his former name meant “Death of the Demigods.” At night, Gurranq can be found to the right side of the sanctum, howling at the sky. Talking to him when he does this does not grant new dialogue. A total of nine Deathroot can be given to him to finish his questline.
Once all nine Deathroot have been given to him, he will tell the player that, despite their hard work, his hunger is still not satiated and that he will go on hunt them down alone. He will then vanish, giving the player an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, Alternatively, once you have given him the eighth Deathroot, you can kill him instead for the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, allowing you to skip the ninth Deathroot.
What happens to Cohryn Elden Ring?
Brother Corhyn Questline: How to complete Brother Corhyn’s Quest –
Brother Corhyn can first be met once the player is able to go to Roundtable Hold. He can be seen standing in the main room. After reaching Altus Plateau, Brother Corhyn will tell you he is going on a journey to find the Goldmask, After resting, he moves to Altus Plateau and increases the number of Incantations he knows. Corhyn will be standing on the road north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, next to the monument where the Map (Altus Plateau) can be found. If you find Corhyn dead at any point in the questline, you can still complete the steps with Goldmask. On the north side of Altus Plateau, there is a large broken bridge. You can encounter Goldmask standing on the north section of the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge, south of East Windmill Pasture,
Traveling north of the Bower of Bounty grace, you can use a Spirit Spring near the bridge to jump directly up to the Goldmask. Alternatively, use the waygate on the southern section of the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge, next to the Forest-Spanning Great Bridge Site of Grace.
After speaking to the Goldmask, you can return to Corhyn and inform him of Goldmask’s location. After resting, Corhyn moves to stand next to the Goldmask and adds new incantations to his stock. You can discuss Goldmask with him. After obtaining at least two Great Runes and gaining access to Leyndell, Corhyn and Goldmask move to the city Leyndell, and are found on a cliff up west of the colosseum, contemplating a riddle.
Note that in order to progress his questline you need to solve this riddle before burning the Erdtree at Forge of the Giants (after Fire Giant boss fight), otherwise Corhyn will vanish and leave behind Corhyn’s Bell Bearing in Leyndell. In addition, Goldmask will not be present. The solution is found west of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, down an elevator and a set of stairs. A white message on the ground facing the statue mentions “Regression”. You must stand on the message, facing the statue, and cast the Law of Regression incantation to solve the riddle. Touch the new message that appears, and report the secret to Goldmask and then exhaust Corhyn’s dialogue. Casting Law of Regression requires 37 Intelligence, If desired, you can use two Larval Tears to respec your character and back just to solve the riddle. Using the skill requires 14 DEX and 40 STR (27 when 2-handed) (Flask of Wondrous Physick) Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear (+10 INT) – lasts for 3 minutes upon consuming the flask
After casting the spell, revealing a plot-point, go back to Goldmask and tell him what you found out.
After this, you can talk to Brother Corhyn, and he will offer to sell you the Immutable Shield incantation.
After leaving them (reloading in the same place won’t make them disappear), Goldmask and Corhyn will move to the bridge south of Stargazers’ Ruins right above the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace.
A dialogue option also appears to give Brother Corhyn the Tonic of Forgetfulness upon advancing his questline to Mountaintops of the Giants, near the Stargazers’ Ruins. Corhyn will refuse the potion and the item will remain in the player’s inventory, but it will change the final step in this questline.
After completing Crumbling Farum Azula, Goldmask can be found in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, he moves to the bottom of the colosseum cliffs facing the west side of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace. He will give you the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, Reload the area to loot Goldmask’s Set, Corhyn can then be found at one of the possible two locations:
Corhyn location 1: It is advisable to check for him here first, as the game loads you into Leyndell, Ashen Capital after you finish the main boss fight at Crumbling Farum Azula, He will be near the base of the giant spiral spear. Speak with him to exhaust all dialogue and then, after reloading the area, you can find a Flail, Corhyn’s Bell Bearing, and Corhyn’s Robe where he was sitting. Corhyn location 2: If you offered Brother Corhyn the Tonic of Forgetfulness, he will remain at the bridge south of the Stargazers’ Ruins where you last saw him. Talk to him; he’ll be unaware of Goldmask’s absence. Reload the area and then collect all three of the above items where he was.
Note: If you don’t complete the questline, you can find both Corhyn’s Bell Bearing and Corhyn’s Robe on a cliff west of the colosseum, in Leyndell, Ashen Capital,
