Depends on what content you're looking to clear. I think it's B/L for A3 and under and B/x for AA? I have one of each (about the only dupe I wasn't disappointed to roll during 7-stone 7* dupefest). I haven't even attempted A4 or AA, though, so you'd probably get more informed opinions from other players.

To add some commentary that may actually be helpful: B/L boosts ATK for light monsters only while B/x boosts water and light monsters.

The LS for B/x is super flexible (match 9 of ANY type of orb for 9x ATK per lead) and gives you 2.25x HP and RCV for blue and light subs at the cost of less damage, so your team could be super tanky. You could even run a water row team with a B/x lead if you were so inclined...

How tanky is the B/L lead?
I've used Ragdra to clear up to A2 so far and I have not really had any desire to complete harder content yet.
I like the idea of a tanky row lead (I've played rows in the past, but it was the glass cannon type, sarasvati I believe)

    Nice!
Would it be optimal to run just a light row team or just a water row team? or would combination of both work? (intuition tells me that using both waters down the damage potential)
If B/x is used for AA, could it also handle other dungeons such as A3 and under?

I think focusing on one or the other would be best. If you want to run a hybrid, be sure to include Revo DQXQ if you have them since they have both light and blue rows (plus RDQXQ is still a fantastic sub!).

I haven't run AA and I've only cleared A3 once (with pre-ult Amemina x Arondight in co-op with my alt), so I can't speak to how well the teams perform in AA.

Sounds good. I have 1 RDQXQ and a DQXQ that I can build up to revo status. I also have a Tiffa (I ended up not making her into pixel version), which has 5 rows.

In general, should I try to include some form of fua, dvp, 7c, etc? I know I should include enough resist skill binds and resist binds for 100% coverage. oe is good for row teams I believe as well (what is the optimal number of oe and rows for a row team? It's been a while...)

What are your thoughts on L/W Yog vs L/* yog as a sub on an ameno team? I have yet to completely look through my options yet, but I noticed your yog and I happen to have one that I have yet to evolve to an ult. Basically, it looks like I would be trading about 200 HP and 200 Atk for Fua, which I could potential cover with something else.

I cover FUA with Paimon and I only have one Yog, so the choice was an easy one for me. Yog's stats in multiplayer are fantastic, so I'll run him on teams for co-op but might sub in another monster for solo.

As for VDP, B/L Amemina covers that perfectly well. I usually don't bring another VDP sub (well, unless I bring Apollo in solo, but he's there for the active and ATK stat).

If I was running B/x Amemina, I'd probably bring Blodin for a blue-focused team and Apollo for a light-focused team in solo. Not sure who I'd bring in multiplayer. Maybe DMeta?

On the subject of rows vs. OE: I haven't crunched the numbers, but I cover OE with Paimon and I almost always bring RDQXQ for their 4 light rows. I bring those monsters for other reasons as well (Paimon for FUA and active, RDQXQ for hazard clear, both for making light orbs and hearts). I like to bring a few more light rows when I can, but I don't prioritize it over utility or raw stats.
