Well, technically it is based on A5, so the worst thing we're going to get damage wise I think is probably Nyx. They might change her first turn move to a 100%+ gravity + hit instead of whatever (75%?) she has now. And of course a higher pre-empt, but her current one is not that high anyway.
Her current one is 75k or so, which is probably the highest ? Maybe Artemis (not featured in any Arenas) has a bigger one, but outside of her I don't think anyone else has such a big preempt, so... I don't know ?
I mean, Goemon in A4 has 49k and 162k in AA2, Tsubaki went from 40k to 153k.
While absolutely not everything was boosted to x3 (in fact, not a lot of attacks were boosted to x3), I think we can expect at least Nyx and Kundali to have x3 preempts or close, since they were originally designed to actually kill
Eh? I thought AA came out before A4 or am I confused? Because AA Goemon already hit for 145k. Not sure Nyx pre empt was ever meant to kill anyone at that point, unless you run the absolute glassiest cannon team.. Her first turn move though, now we're talking.
Yeah, I think 75k is meant to kill. Not necessarily to one-shot, but back when A5 came out the squishy strong teams (think 40-45kHP, it's still pretty common nowadays btw) would be greatly threatened by it, even with a small 25% shield. Heck, even with 43% the teams without an HP mult who ate Kundali's preempt previously and didn't heal back to full would probably die to Nyx I think ~
In general I think any preempt higher than 45k is designed at least to punish poor healing, and at 60k+ (think Diara) it's probably designed to kill I think. Because without an HP mult, your average team HP should be around 40k-50k (average).
But yeah, in Alt Arenas, the term "designed to kill" takes a whole other meaning, since most team which run alt arenas are extremely tanky.
Yeah, IMO, the general rule of thum seemed to be Alt arenas were more about big numbers (larger HP pools and bigger hits) and regular Arenas were more about managing mechanics and hazards. AA2 is kind of an in between so.. I am really looking forward to what AA3 will bring, because if it's just bigger numbers then it's going to be boring.
Most end game teams can hit 500M to 1B reasonably easily AND have a decent HP pool and sometimes a shield. Add onto that 100% hazard resist, easy access to VDP, SFUA, etc, I wonder what they can really bring that's not already in A5/AA2 except just making all 20 floors like Numens/Dragon Callers/Nyx/Yog/Lovecraftians
Only time -and suffering- will tell us :') I believe the dungeon should be out tomorrow @JP ? I don't know how long it usually takes for Skyozora get the dungeon data, but as soon as we have it Imma dig that thing. I really want to know if this thing is even attemptable with Kanzuki :')
Also I'm somewhat fearful as well because of the reasons you pointed ; our modern meta teams are so strong and durable, I cannot imagine what combination of hazard and anti-counter-hazard (especially this) they're going to pull off to stop us.
Inb4 gravity + 2 turns awoken bind + void buff + jammer/poison spawn + 1 spin in a corner + -2secs of matching time for 2 turns on *each floors* :'D
Seconded and thirded and whatever-ed on the rewards. Harder arenas are so not worth to be ran, yet such a hassle to beat !
I've thought for a while about a special kind of medal obtainable only through arena farming which could grant rolls at the rem. But not just a thing that you get for each clear, a system that prevents mindless repeated farming.
Maybe someday I'll make a post about it.
Well, there has been a few clears already. It seems like the numbers are not too crazy. Lots of spinners obviously, since there's not hard counter to that yet. Should have thought of that. DAgni seems to have a 100% pre empt? Double killer floors so -6 turn delay, etc. Does not look to bad tbh. People say it's as much stalleable as other Arenas (I don't know about Karin though :P)
I've just seen some on reddit ! Man, some people are just amazing.
I'm going to hate all these spinners, and I'll probably need to get myself a Viz for efficient hazard erasing but outside of that from what I've read I do picture Karin beating it. After a gazillon tries that is :'D
I'm curious as to what "stallable" means for the people who've beaten it already ha ha. I cap at 70k HP, probably a little less than 78-80k after FF collab, but that's the absolute max I think xD
