The headline says it all....is he worth getting?
i've only played him in combo master (pad simulator) and just briefly at that, but he didn't seem exceptionally powerful. imo, he's not worth getting. more than likely you have a similarly or more powerful team.
Hmm I figured as much guess he is just a passing fancy...I have 1806 other monsters to choose from I guess
I think people think he's fun? That's about it.
If you don't have many powerful leaders, he's gonna be a big change. Very powerful lead with easy activation. One L match and everything (well, almost) dies. Only if you have many dupes to trade or whaling through.
depends, what other strong leads do you have, and, what subs do you have for him? also what would you give up for him?
if you dont have anything that tanky, it may be worth it.
I traded for Fatalis, and i like him, i'm prone to liking L matching, using Ryu or Him, and I have other good leads, its matter of preference to me, can kill most things, and if it needs a umphh in damage just bring a enhance skill, only time L is annoying for me is when i get monsters that need 7+ combos.
If you have the subs he is VERY good at farming A5. Thats two killers, a py, and ~2 million exp per 99 stamina.
Also if you can build an a5 team for him, you can build a "handle anything" team to do stuff blind. Has bulk, shield, etc. So in short dungeons you can just not worry about being economical with orbs and just burn all of your actives. (Fatalis active handles 2 floors if you just move the middle orb of one of the Ls diagonally).
Again, as the answer to these questions ALWAYS goes, it is completely box dependent.
Here you go for dark...
Sorry for all the pics lol...
I managed to roll a Fatalis on JP... (and not one, but THREE Ren/Rei from Shaman King...)
He is super easy to manage, somewhat strong and his active is nice... but he isn't THAT great.
You have a strong monster box, obviously, with DMeta and likely other leads who are stronger than Fatalis. So it’s a question of whether the novelty is worth the significant investment. And novelty can wear off.
Having a Kuro loop is a great start, Veroah is a fantastic sub, Hiei is also a fantastic sub, Leona is a fantastic sub, Elizabeth and Thantos is a good situation sub, Eschamali is a good skill if you dont use Hiei, V Ney and Yomi are good subs...
i wont say you should get him, but if you want to, you have the box for it.
Playstyle wise i think it's terrible, i don't really like weird mechanics and he gets full activation with a single L so it's both powerful and braindead , surpassing combo shield and VDP is a major pain, it's also terrible without kuro loop, you can't really heal even with half a board of hearts.
This being said i never had an easier time with S-ranks and despite my personal aversion it's actually refreshing to have a different playstyle you can either just use for farm or challange yourself with.
Mega Paimon is definitely better tho
With eir you don't need a kuro loop at all, but yeah vdp plus combo shield requires a plus combo active most of the time ideally something like planar.
I personally wouldn't trade for him i got lucky and got one on main and alt and while he is fun to play and strong he isn't really game breaking.
Mega Paimon is easily my favorite monster in the game and my light box is stacked..
So I pulled 3 more times...got my 2nd Diablos and 2nd Zinogre and 2nd Gore Magala...I'll probably pull 3 more times then just trade and then run him like once lol
id argue that his trouble with combo shields and VDP makes him NOT braindead.
i would have disagreed til i made an Eir, but with Eir, he heals quite easily off of heart TPAs. i've healed to 100k of a 99% gravity and and two heart TPAs with combos.
Fatalis is really strong but you really need 2 of them to weapon assist himself. If you can’t get 2 I wouldn’t bother (luckily I rolled one). He steamrolls A5 - I’m at about a 100% success rate using Kuro loop.
So I traded for one just to have him last minute...havent ran him yet but why is everyone saying combo shields are hard? 1 L leaves 25 orbs left I'm not saying you're getting 8 more combos every time but you have 9seconds of move time minimum?
Combo shields aren’t the problem. It’s VDP + combo shields that can be a challenge since it is hard to get more than 6 combos with VDP and L without skyfall. Also FUA + VDP is hard to activate, especially to maximize combos. Luckily the critical FUA + VDP spawns (Nyx, Cthugha, Verse) can be chipped down to below resolve before finishing.
