If you're not actually using Momiji you can take her off completely so that you don't waste time with attack animations.

Interesting thought - you mean just leave that spot empty? I'm not sure how much of just her damage is needed, maybe I'll try a run without her and see how it goes.

Yes you leave it empty so the run goes faster. It's why the video posted above has only three subs.

how much time does one sub save though?

I will try a bit more with verse and if I can't make it work I will try a 7x6 team again but with more 7c and mass attack

Time saved is time saved, and time saved = higher score. If you can already kill everything with three subs, why use a fourth?

Should just run a team with subs of each color so that you don't get orb screwed. Running an all light/green team means your run is dead if you don't have those colors. It saves you the same amount of time as dropping a sub, but you don't get trolled nearly as often. That video early in the thread is far from a good team. It's just to show it can be done with a fully farmable team. Stack TPA subs of each color (or at least a few), a counter for 7, and a bicolor for 5.

Had a run going last night, was averaging probably close to 17-18 combos going into floor 8. Was getting perfect 13/14 combo natural boards and lots of skyfall. Then I get to 8, 3 red dicks spawn when I need to use my Green/Light board. Need at least 13 to kill reds with that board (of course get all 3 to rub it in). Board is shit and it drops dead. 100% the game knew how things were going.

Decided to try out a Zidane inherit (5 turn skyfall buff) instead of Leilan because that tricolor is still ruining my life. Got like 2 green/light skyfalls in about 4 runs. 5 turn skyfall removal buff.

Made it to 110k on the main... so close to crown country, but also still so far away.

18% rn. I'm ok with that as long as it holds top 27%. Already have a shit ton of rainbow trifruits. Didn't even kill every floor in one shot lol (water boss lived with a sliver). If people are just aiming to get within 27%, here's some things to keep in mind (zeus vers leads):
    > Have a sub with evo-killer (there are some weapon equips with it). 1 combo that color
    > Have a board changer ready for a 7c combo shield (optional)
    > Have a small heal. There's 1 tiny preemptive. I used DQXQ
    > Have a way to deal with the damage voids on F9. Either hit within the threshold, or have a box awakening
    >F10 can be fairly tanky without the right killers or a way to swipe it

    Other considerations:
    >Don't combo unless required. Prioritize time
    >Use less subs if you can afford to. Using fewer subs decreases the attack animation time
    >Physical and Balance killers are the ones you want to go for.

Well I got bumped. At 7.2% now, but only 248 points behind. Do I waste a few stones and try to pull 114k+ with verse? or do I try the anubis/leilan/leilan/something with haste/bi board?

Is that basically what you are using ko300zx?

According to Digity's guide on the reddit discord, Verse teams have a soft cap at around 120k. I guess you just have to be really fast and aim for max 4c each turn (I think that's the strategy).

Not sure if the combo variant is really worth it if you don't got a perfect set-up or are really good at combing fast.
You could give it a try but if you want to crown unless you are a combo God or a lucky duck prepare to spend stones

So, haste only matters if you have enough of them to get early actives back up for the last couple floors. You need 7 I believe. It allows you to use Ilmina twice, an early bicolor twice, and to button 9. It's a pretty specific setup. It's a bit slow so you have to be fast at solving bicolors and have to pretty much get as close to 15c as you can, but the potential for a much higher score is there. If you don't have the haste, you can just use regular bicolors but will have to solve jammer boards which can suck.

First and third teams use the 4 haste actives to get Grimmjow and Ilmina back up for 9. Third team also gets the red sub (bicolor) back up for 8 as well. Team 2 is a more traditional bicolor setup but you have to combo I think 3 floors so need some better RNG and need to be much better at comboing.

Started messing around with verse again. Got a few 116s with that as well. Screwed a great run up (seem to do this every ranking). Had a perfect 10c bicolor that I solved fast as hell and no skyfalls, so no wasted time while maxing that floor. Then I got excited, was studying the board and on floor 9, just shat the bed and made a light TPA. Thought I was on the final floor. I don't deserve to win.

My best runs involved no 3rd dark orb on floor 9 haha, I feel your pain.

I will stick with verse for now, mainly because I'm broke now and can't assist anymore LOL. I only pulled a 113.4k on monday so I should be able to pull a 116k hopefully, I may have to spend a stone or 2 though

Bleh done. Can go back to 7x6 now. Copied this from mantastic. Took like 5 tries with 2 Baldin. Figured I'd just give it a try before bed. All the wasted stones before this...well I guess I won't call them wasted. I still want to try and beat this with 7x6 and hopefully I improved a hair. Just wanted to lock down a score before the weekend.

Same, but I'm stuck at 115k
5.7% at the moment, I don't think it will hold in the top 7%

It's really hard to tell right now. We started out well above JP like we always do in Verse tournaments since we know the teams that work ahead of time. The cutoff is rising ever so slowly since then. We will probably end right around JPs.
