About Hathor
Mythology

Hathor is an Egyptian goddess of the sky, dance, love, beauty, joy, motherhood, foreign lands, mining, music, and fertility among other things. She was originally a personification of the Milky Way, which was considered to be the milk that flowed from the udders of a heavenly cow. Hathor is the mother, daughter, and wife of Ra, the mother of Horus, is also associated with Bast (Bastet) depending on the myth, and is often portrayed as a cow goddess.

Hathor is known as “the eye of Ra” at times. When Ra ruled the earth, humans began plotting against him. Ra sent Hathor in the form of Sekhmet, a warlike goddess, to destroy them, but Sekhmet became bloodthirsty. To stop the chaos, Ra poured blood colored wine on the ground, tricking Sekhmet. She consumed so much of the “blood” that she became drunk, and returned to her gentle form, Hathor.

In PAD
Hathor is the light counterpart of the Egyptian 2 pantheon, the others being Set, Nut, Osiris, and Nephthys. There are now two ultimate evolutions for Hathor, one with a water sub-attribute and one with a fire sub-attribute.

Hathor may not be the best leader in today’s times but she still has her place in the PAD world. Just because she’s not meta doesn’t mean that she’s not relevant and can't be used! However, if you are looking for some overpowered lead that can clear almost everything easily, Hathor may not be your cup of tea (or milk).

Sacred Life Goddess of the Colored Sky, Hathor
God/Healer
HP: 2760 (3750 @ +99)
ATK: 1281 (1776 @ +99)
RCV: 568 (865 @ +99)
Active: Reduce 25% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. 2x orb movement time for 2 turns.
Cooldown: 13 Turns (Max: 18 Turns)
Awakenings: [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Leader Skill: Exaltation of Sacred Life
Effect: Light attribute cards HP x1.35, RCV x1.35. ATK x4.5 when attacking with 5 of following orb types: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark, and/or Heart.

As you can see, Water Hathor is a 4.5x color lead that activates when matching and attacking with 5 of the 6 main orb types. Combined with a friend Hathor, she becomes a 20.25x lead with a HP/RCV multiplier of 1.8225x (base 1.35x each lead) to light cards. Hathor teams may not hit hard, but they are tanky with decent recovery. She is capable of clearing quite a few endgame dungeons. Her active skill, Heavenly Splash, is a 25% gravity against all enemies. This is helpful for dealing damage against a high HP enemy and well as dealing with resolves. Hathor’s awakenings consist of mainly orb enhances, and she has a SBR and Time Extend as well. As a color lead, she is prone to orb troll, but she generally has a high activation rate.

Shining Fist Sacred Life Goddess, Hathor
God/Attacker
HP: 2860 (3850 @ +99)
ATK: 1881 (2376 @ +99)
RCV: 278 (575 @ +99)
Active: Reduce 25% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. 2x orb movement time for 2 turns.
Cooldown: 13 Turns (Max: 18 Turns)
Awakenings: [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Leader Skill: Deluge of Sacred Life
Effect: Light attribute cards HP x1.5, RCV x1.5. ATK x6 when attacking with 5 of following orb types: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark, and/or Heart.

Fire Hathor is similar to Water Hathor, however, she can be a 36x lead with a HP multiplier of 2.25x (base 1.5x each). While her 2 7 combo awakenings make the leaders attack with 144x attack upon hitting 7 combos, the rest of the team is still 36x. In addition, this form has lost SBR and TE, limiting sub pools and making it a bit more difficult to activate.

Overall, even with the disadvantages taken into account, Fire Hathor is the better form to roll with.

Cooking Club's Ace Chef, Hathor
God/Attacker
HP: 2860 (3850 @ +99)
ATK: 1881 (2376 @ +99)
RCV: 278 (575 @ +99)
Active: Reduce 25% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. 2x orb movement time for 2 turns.
Cooldown: 13 Turns (Max: 18 Turns)
Awakenings: [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Leader Skill: The essential ingredient is love!
Effect: Fire attribute cards HP x1.5, RCV x1.5. ATK x6 when attacking with 5 of following orb types: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark, and/or Heart.

The newest Hathor, Academy Collab exclusive! This guide will mostly be dealing with light Hathor, but Academy Hathor definitely deserves some recognition too.

Lead Pairings
The obvious pairing is Hathor, but if you do not have Hathor or any Hathor friends available, the following pairings may work.

Ideally, you'd want a high multiplier, as well as HP/RCV boost or shield.

Top non-Hathor pairings (in my opinion):

- Radra is a combo lead that boosts all stats for God type cards. Take note that his maximum multiplier requires you to match all orbs (RBGLDH), but matching 5 of the 6 gives you a decent multiplier regardless.
- Diablos is op. Enough said.

Other non-Hathor pairings that are decent:

- Basically any color match or combo lead could work. It is also nice to note that if you have a light attribute color match team that is short on HP, pairing with Hathor may solve that problem.

7x6:

- Damage output may be lower, but 7x6 boards are pretty nice.

Subs - Offense
Hathor teams are generally very flexible, but here are some of her top subs.

Board Changers
Hathor teams have a high chance of having activateable boards, but it becomes difficult when enemies convert them.

Board changers with hearts:

- Tachibana is super sweet on a Hathor team with her 2 7c awakenings and hazard resists. Her active also includes a shield, but note that her conversion will kill activation depending on leader pairing.
- Raijin unlocks the board and also fills the hard to cover blue spot on Hathor teams.
- Roots and Lightning have a Godkiller, which helps with damage. They also have a fixed nuke; Roots deals 999 damage to one enemy while Lightning deals 10k to all enemies.
- Ragdra has Godkiller and Dragonkiller.
- Keiji's active is a board refresh, which trolls, but can give good boards if you're lucky.
- DKali is offcolor, but she is unbindable and has a heart row unbind.
- Gainaut and Linthia are farmable, but Gainaut also makes jammers, while Linthia makes poisons.

Other board changers:

- Navi covers the blue spot on Hathor teams AND provides a ton of SBR. She will also have a 7c awakening.
- Kalis are decent, Ace Horus is okay. The rest are kinda meh.
- Jorm and Volsung are farmable. Jorm's boards makes jammers, and Volsung halves Dragon/Attacker damage.

Burst / Enhance
Hathor teams typically do not hit very hard, so it is nice to have burst or offense to kill enemies or break their defense.

Top burst active subs:

- Kanna has 4 TPAs on top of her burst active!!
- L/D Izanagi has 2 SBR and boosts Gods.
- Unfortunately, Revo Izanagi's boost halves your HP.

Good inheritable bursts (or you can run them straight up I guess):

- Vajray boosts light attack by 2x for 3 turns, and provides 2 turns of haste.
- Gemstones are op, enough said. The one you use depends on if you have it, and your team of course.
- Thor and Loki could be run straight up, but inheriting them be better for your team.
- Titania and Heracles are inheritable; Heracles nukes your HP to 1 though.

Other bursts or enhances:

- None of these are that good tbh

Orb Changers
Orb changers aren't very friendly on Hathor because they may kill boards, but have potential when used at the right time.

- Be careful when popping orb changers; ensure that the conversion will not kill activation.
- Chibi Valk, LValk, and Pollux all convert H->L; CValk has 3 TPAs and Pollux has Godkiller. LValk is farmable.
- Ariel's skill of creating light orbs at random could kill activation.
- Apollo and Alcyone both kill activation.

Subs - Defense
Bind Clears

Hathor teams are weak to binds. If the leaders are bound, you no longer have access to a huge HP pool and good recovery.

- Revo/Awoken/NY Ama all have 2 SBRs and recover 4 turns of bind. Also has heart row unbind.
- Sakuya has a 20% gravity and 3 turn unbind; hazard resists.
- L/F Ama is a full bind recover as well as heal. However, if unskilled, it takes quite a while for her skill to charge.
- LMeta, is another unbindable bind recover. She has a heart row unbind, and unbinds your team members by 3 turns.
- Cinderellas are kinda meh, but better than nothing I suppose.
- Shining Dragon Knight is unbindable and recovers your team binds by 3 turns. However, he also converts heart orbs to light orbs, which can kill your activation and hurt you if you also need to heal in the same turn.
- Light Wee Jas is unbindable; however, his active does not unbind you. Instead, it delays an enemy by one turn and provides you with a row of hearts. Providing that your enemy does not have a status shield, you can use that turn to clear the row of hearts, unbinding your team by 3 turns thanks to Wee Jas's heart row unbind awakening. Wee Jas could also be an emergency heal, but his active may kill your activation. He also has Devilkiller and Physicalkiller awakenings.
- Awoken Isis is an unbindable card albeit off-color, but if you need a quick short bind recover, she's got your back! Her 2 turn unbind comes on a 3 turn cooldown.
- Ana Ceres is an unbindable full bind recover and heal with a light sub-attribute, Devilkiller, and Dragonkiller. The other forms of Ceres could work as well.

Delays

- Revo/Awoken Orochi delays your enemies by 4 turns.
- DAthena delays enemies by 3 turns
- Wee Jas delays your enemy by one turn if they do not have a status shield. However, his active also produces a row of heart orbs, which may kill your activation.
- Xmas Angel delays your enemies by 3 turns and is on-color. The other Xmas healers could work as well.
- Echidna is a farmable 3 turn delay.

Inheritable Delays:

- Base Orochi and Zeta Hydra are 5 turn delays.

Shields
Shields are usually unnecessary on Hathor teams due to the huge HP pool, but if for some reason a situation requires it, here are some shields that could be subbed.

- Awoken/Revo Indra has 2 turns of 75% shield on top of 2 SBR.
- Yuna has 2 SBR, 2 7c awakenings, and some nice TE. She reduces damage by 50% for one turn.
- Awoken/Revo Susano reduces damage by 50% for 3 turns.
- Wedding Izanami is a 35% damage shield for 3 turns and has a lot of light OE.
- Ganesha reduces damage by 100% for 1 turn and enhances the whole board.
- Sandalphon reduces damage by 35% for 2 turns. The NY counterpart has OE, but there is a farmable Sandalphon.
- Raph is a 100% damage shield for 2 turns, but his awakenings are light row oriented and he kills your activation but producing a full board of hearts, although it could serve as an emergency heal.
- Awoken/Revo Kushi is a 75% damage shield for 1 turn
- DIza is a farmable 3 turn 35% damage shield.
- Sowilo is a farmable one turn 35% shield that also enhances light orbs.
- Isis only reduces damage by 15% for 1 turn, but comes on a quick cooldown and could serve useful if you are only just a bit of HP off from tanking a hit.

Inheritable Shields:

- Base Indra is a 3 turn 75% shield.
- Base Suasno is a 5 turn 50% shield.
- Enoch is essentially an inheritable DIza.
- Ninegaruda is a 9 turn 15% shield.
- Also take into account the Elemental Series (Shaitan, Undine, Sylph, Genie, and Thanatos). They void damage of an attribute for 3 turns, and can be inheritable.

Team Lineups
Some sample team builds to give you an idea of what Hathor teams can look like. In general, Hathor teams can yield around 50k HP when hypered, 8k RCV, but do not hit very hard.

Typically, you want your team to be able to burst, while also holding utility like a bind clear. Also, make sure to account in SBR.

Early Game

So, you may have just rolled Hathor. She may be difficult to use at first, but practice makes perfect! Over time, you find that she may serve you well. If you choose to play her team, field what you can find on your team, the better the stats, the better they will be on your team. Soon, you will find better subs. If you can farm up a Naga, do so, as she has a useful active that can save you.

Farmable

If you are unfortunate or have incurred the wrath of Hathor in terms of REM luck, this farmable team may serve you well. Jorm comes from his dungeon and requires Jorm and Aegir, LValk from the Goddess Descended, Echidna from various dungeons, and Sonia Gran from her descend. It may not be the best team, but it will work for early to mid-game dungeons until better subs come along.

General

TPA

This TPA team can unleash some devastating damage. Chaining Roots with LValk and Kanna, along with 2 gravities and a Godkiller can wipe out many enemies.

Hybrid

This more defensive Hathor team consists of a delay, unbinder, shield, and board change with hearts.

Skill Inheritance
Unfortunately, many people use their Hathor as an inheritable gravity.
There isn't a whole lot to comment on about skill transfers onto a Hathor team, but do them as you see fit. Perhaps inherit a Gemstone Princess for more damage, a bind clear onto someone unbindable and with better awakenings, a delay, a board changer, etc. Or, you could improve a card's active skill. For example, Awoken Hades also has a 25% gravity just like Hathor but he has a time extend too.

Latents
Because Hathor teams typically have high HP pools and decent recovery, I recommend rainbow latents. This allows her team to reduce damage from all enemies, easing the amount you have to heal each turn and the number of hits you can take. In addition, Hathor is the Sacred Life Goddess of the Colored Sky. Giving her rainbow latents would help her live up to her title. HP latents are not a bad idea either, since her leaderskill boosts HP, but in the case that a gravity hits you, you would have to recover much more to hit full HP. Time extends can help if you wish to have more movement time, but the effect is very minimal. As for ATK and RCV, Hathor teams do not hit very hard and already can recover fairly well with decent RCV and enhanced heart orbs, so I believe that they are not the best options, but may help sometimes.

Badges
Badges should be selected with similar consideration to latents. This means that HP badges are typically the best, followed by time extends. RCV and ATK may help occasionally for more survivability or damage. The SBR badge may help if your team cannot hit 100% SBR, and the skill boost badge if you need a certain active up in a certain amount of time and only 1 turn off. While the bind resist badge is nice since Hathor teams are weak to binds, it only applies to your lead and not your friend's. The team cost badge will help if you are a low ranked player and cannot field subs, and the mass attack badge is fairly useless.

Before I get to working on the guide and all that, I’d like to share my Hathor story and why she’s so special to me, even today.

I was pretty casual in PAD for a long time, and my teams were seriously undeveloped, making it hard for me to clear harder dungeons, especially because of terrible comboing. That all changed when I pulled Hathor in New Year's Godfest 2015. I had mained color leads for the majority of my PAD life but struggled to activate most of the time, and for some reason, I found Hathor much easier to activate. Even when I couldn’t activate her, her HP pool made it forgiving, solving my problem of not being able to take hits. My light cards were also some of my strongest cards at the time. Although I could not hit very hard, her tankiness allowed me to survive long enough to kill enemies. I was able to easily zero stone descends that I once considered impossible. The endgame legendary dragon dungeons fell to her feet, as well as all the Legend Plus Ultimate Rushes. While she is considered out of meta today, she still holds a special place in my heart. She’s my first hypermax/pentamax team and I have a lot of fun playing her, and try to clear what I can with her. She has gotten me through a lot. Some of my favorite and notable clears with her include Arena 1, UEC, no awakenings TEC, 5x4 REC, Zaerog Infinity Mythical Plus, Wadatsumi, Star Justice, and C10/C9 a while back.

My team has changed a lot over time. In order:
Hathor (first form) + LL Izanagi, Athena, Echidna, DL Yomi
Hathor (second form) + LL Izanagi, Athena, LKali, DL Yomi
Hathor + LL Izanagi, AAma, LKali, AYomi (first hypermax team)
Hathor (uvo) + LD Izanagi, AAma, LKali, LKali
Hathor + Sherias Roots, AAma/LValk, Keiji/LKali, Kanna
For fun, I sometimes play other versions of Hathor such as Dark or Row. I still love my standard TPA team the most though.

I hope to continue my PAD journey with Hathor <3

Make Hathor great again, @MagicMatcher 2016

I am always impress how much you can push Hathor to the hardest dungeon.
Will patiently wait your guide!

In the side note, I am really curious to see how Gungho will bring Suvo on Hathor.
Only thing lacking is damage side.
Gungho wouldn't add heart cross or row or combo to enhance damages (those leaders are already exist)
Only thing I can think of is 5 orbs with enhance or newer mechanic.
Hopefully they make Hathor viable again. She is being forgotten for so long by so many.

Some have predicted 5O1E. Crosses would be difficult since it would make the color match part of her leader skill hard to activate. She might get an extra multiplier bonus for all 6 colors or something. We'll never know till it gets released hehe.

Okay, key subs and basic info added to each section! I probably forgot a bunch though, rip. Going to work on this slowly and add analysis to each card or something. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! I'm always open to opinions, don't be shy hehe :D
