Just made Mega Roots on both my alt and main. Since it's a 4x HP 1x RCV lead, do you guys have thoughts about RCV/healing subs? I think Kuro loop would be really good since she's a dragon, but I didn't have the MP for it on either account. I also don't have Mizutsune, who I imagine would be good. Is there a Mel-style heart TPA dragon, or perhaps a non-Mizu/Kuro option for healing actives?

Tardis or Lieto from DBDC have boatloads of Team RCV Awakenings and dont ruin activation with their actives, Tardis can also get a VDP. Michael and Ney both heal but break activation with their AS, Ney can have 2 Team RCV Awakes and Michael can get a third 7C.

Dunno really, just stuff I've found while trying to fill my last slot.

Tardis is a really good call actually. I've already got Baldin for VDP but the RCV and utility sounds really nice. I might inherit something like I&I over Tardis for the RCV boost active too.

Might want to consider more of a value add or QoL active like R.Raphael instead or Indra too. Them or I&I shouldnt ever really be so critical that you couldnt just swap them out for a Fujin if you have/when you need.

OdinDra and Kushinadahime both have high recovery and their actives and awakenings are good as well. Valphalk also has decent stats and work as a board changer. Unfortunately, if you're looking for heart enhances, there aren't too many dragons with them but if you're so inclined to, you can slap on a Heart Box as an assist if you have one/some.

GH Collab will be back soon. Even if you don't have enough for 2 Kuro, 1 is still a good investment. I use 1 as a sub all the time. You can inherit one over Tardis for the RCV awakening boost plus the 6 turns of healing for when you are in bad shape.

Yeah, that's the plan at this rate. It only just hit JP again, right? So we shouldn't expect it for a while?

I don't know if Navi with a chocolate box assist would cut it or not.

And unfortunately, I can't do any testing on my own. I have 2 Roots on my main and 0 on my alt, but 3 Navi on my alt and 0 on my main.

    WHOMP WHOMP WHOOO~MP

So I'm just going to throw Mel on a team and try her out, even though she's off-type and I plan to cover red with Enra for damage output.

Navi only has slightly more RCV than Mel and half as many awakenings so not sure how strong she'll be. Maybe decent in coop with the coop boost awakening. Worth a try but not promising.

I am still thinking you're better off with a real sub that a 2nd string HearTPA. Something Revo tier that does % based healing or a big shield. R.Michael (damage sub), R.Indra (Cloud Resist SA+Fingers), OdinDra (AB Clear), R.I&I (damage sub), assisting R.Raph etc.

Heck even R.Susano gives an effective 2x RCV if you squint hard enough), though thats pretty much as twisted as running a 700 weighted stat sub for a meager RCV boost.

Mel is fine even though she isn't a dragon. Also, I don't know if you knew this already but Light Xuanzhang is 2x RCV for 4 turns on an 8 turn CD plus he's a dragon so you can use two and loop their actives. Still, 2x RCV won't do your team any good if your team RCV is very poor to begin with.

Kushi with a chocolate box is decent. I would also add a chocobox on another high rcv card just for good measure.

Cotton is fine for recovery but her active makes it so that Roots can't activate so she's not a great candidate. I guess you could SI something onto her since her CD is rather low though.

I forgot about her multiboost awakening. That puts a hypermax Navi's RCV at 631 (rounding down from 631.5) in co-op.

    Puzzle & Math time!

So for 4 total heart OEs and +50 RCV (3 for the base card, 1 for the chocolate box assist) and the +50 RCV, that's...

    681 * (1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5) = 3447.5625

    Round down to 3447.

Let's compare with level 99 Mel.

    391 * (1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5) = 4453.734375

    Round down to 4453.

Mel is definitely the stronger healing sub, even before limit breaking.

But you give up a decent chunk of HP (Navi brings 26,250 HP with dual Roots leads in co-op) to run Mel instead.

Navi brings 2 SB while Mel only has one, but Navi has 0 SBR while Mel has 1. Navi's 3 water row awakenings will very likely be useless on a Roots team.

GungHo has been pushing heal actives as the preferred method of recovery on 4x HP leads like B&J and Roots, but Navi with a chocolate box assist is actually a decent budget sub for those without a Mel or dual Kuroyuri. Sure, she's not the best option, but this silver egg may have finally found a niche outside BMyr teams from years past.

Also, Rikuu is probably a better pairing than Roots if your RCV is pretty bad. 2x HP, shield, and the RCV needed to activate roots.

    Um, I’m using Kuroyuri. Lmao.

    For ideas you can try:
Valeria - gives 2x RCV in her active, kind of like with Vraska.
LIdeal - yes she’s a healer she’s got a lot of RCV too.
Odindra - classic 50% healing, don’t be afraid to pop if you’re almost dead tbh.

Surprised no one mentioned Ideal with a chocolate box inherit. On type and around 2k rcv should do it.

And I forgot to add in some calculations for Mel with a chocolate box assist, so let's take a look at that now.

    4453.734 * 1.5 = 6680.601

    So round down to 6680.

Then factor in the 1.25x multiplier for the additional orb (4 instead of 3) and you get 8350.

And there's probably more to the formula because, IIRC, I healed for more than triple that with a single heart TPA with Mel on a Roots x Roots team in Endless.

Seriously, Mel is a healing superstar. There's a reason she's been a staple on my Tardis team for a long while now, even without a wood sub-attribute (but GungHo, if you're reading this, please give Mel a split ult with a wood sub-attribute, pretty please).
