.: WELCOME TO A GUIDE ABOUT SEIRYUU :.

So yesterday I decided to post in the R&A section,
the topic of the thread was about what everyone
is planing to feed their Super Blue Kings to in this
upcoming Super Blue Dragon Dungeon. Well the topic
drifted off a bit and landed on an important topic, Seiryuu.

It was brought to my attention that Seiryuu isn't as popular
as her fellow Chinese Gods; Sakuya, Suzaku, and Byakko. Because
of this, she wasn't made a proper guide on her pros and cons
when it comes down to being a leader of her own team or
possibly even a sub. Today I will begin work on changing that.
I actually like Seiryuu and like the other Chinese Gods, she can
definitely hold her ground when it comes down to tackling
those pesky descended dungeons. This is Seiryuu's story, enjoy.

Also, please feel free to visit the other Seriyuu Thread.
Before I decided to create this guide, this thread held alot of Seiryuu
discussion so the information in that thread can be useful instead of just
disappearing. Also, a fellow forum member named Aulanticus has showed
interested in my guide. He himself was creating his very own Seiryuu guide
but then saw that I was also beginning to work on one. In order to avoid
any sort of conflicts on the matter of the guide, we personally discussed on
what we should do and decided that we will merge information.

We are both here to help unite fellow Seiryuus. < 3.

RE: [Team Building] Become A Guardian of Life, Join Seiryuu's Army!

    .: SIERYUU'S INTRODUCTION :.

Sieryuu was released with her fellow sisters in
the Chinese God Series. Everyone was excited for
this series since it brought a different way to play besides
the usual Horus or Ra orb matching playstyle. Instead of
players needing to match 4 or 5 orb colors to increase their
monster's ATK for that turn, players needed to match a certain
amount of colors for each Chinese God. Sieryuu was given the
three colors: Blue. Green. Black. If players are able to match these
three colors in the same turn, the team is given a 3.5x ATK bonus.

Because of the color restriction needed to activate the Chinese God's
Leader Skill, majority of the time the entire team is built up of the colors
needed to proc the skill. Some players prefer to make a team of the colors
needed. While other players would prefer to make a certain type team.
For example, Sieryuu is easily able to make a Devil and Balanced team.
The reason why you would do this, is cause the team will also get
to benefit from the Active Skill of either King Woodsie or King Baddie.
But of course, each team has their pros and cons. I will explain later.

    God / No Subtype.

    R: 0210.

While in her baby form, Sieryuu excels in the HP and ATk category like
her fellow Chinese gods. Her RCV is pretty moderate but nothing too
spectacular. Depending on what you decide to use for her subs,
you'll usually come across healing issues so you may either want
to invest in RCV eggs or perhaps pick subs with defensive skills.
Sieryuu is an excellent leader to begin with, you just have to know
what early subs to snag for an easier time.

In order to evolve Sieryuu, players need the following mats:

Keeper Of Water; Located in Tuesday Weekly Dungeon or Evo Material Event- PAL Machine.
Divine Indigo Mask; Located in Wednesday Weekly Dungeon / Evo Material Event - PAL Machine / Oceanus Falls - Normal / Variety of Technicals.
Dub-Sapphilit; Located in Friday Weekly Dungeon / Evo Material Event - PAL Machine / Frozen Soil of Prosell - Normal / Variety of Technicals.
Dub-Sapphilit; Located in Friday Weekly Dungeon / Evo Material Event - PAL Machine / Frozen Soil of Prosell - Normal / Variety of Technicals.
Dub-Mythlit; Located in Friday Weekly Dungeon / Evo Material Event - PAL Machine / Starlight Sanctuary - Normal / Hill of Iris's Rainbow - Technical.

    Sidenote;
There are other locations for these materials
like in certain Descends, however, I do not feel
the need to label which ones. It is easier to farm
these mats at these dungeons instead of Descends.

When evolved, Sieryuu's HP becomes the second highest
of the entire Chinese Series. In terms of ATK, she has
the highest which is a nice little bonus. For RCV though,
she is actually second to last. Strange that the Guardian
Of Life would actually have disappointing RCV. But oh well.
Also, during the evolution, she will gain her Awoken Skill Slots.
Water Orb Enhance, Grass Orb Enhance, and Dark Orb Enhance.
Once version 6.4 hits live, she will obtain a fourth Awoken Skill,
which would be Enhance Blue Attribute, not a bad skill for a mostly
    blue Sieryuu Team.

    Physical / No Subtype.
    Lvl70 Stats;

As of right now, the only way to Skill Up Sieryuu is by feeding her other
Sieryuus or by capturing the rare Blue Chaser which can be found in
the Water Mechdragon / Water Pirate Dungeon / PAL Machine.
Of course, when you do acquire one, you need to max level it and
then evolve it in order for the chance for a skill up. If you want though,
you can use it as a sub on your Sieryuu team for the active but the
stats on the Aqua Chaser isn't flattering one bit.

    .: SIERYUU'S FRIENDLIST BOARD :.

Due to Seiryuu being an unpopular leader to be found, I will be
creating a list of people who have her/run her consistently. This
will be so that people who intend on becoming a dedicated Seiryuu
user will have an easier time finding fellow Seiryuu friends since
PDX isn't as reliable when it comes to finding this particular monster.

If you wish to be on this friendlist board, please PRIVATE MESSAGE
me the following information so that I can write and accurate posting:

You don't have to write as much as I did but I like to be informative
so that is kinda why I wrote quite a bit in my info. Remember though,
please PRIVATE MESSAGE me your information, I will also be personally
messaging everyone on this list every Saturday afternoon in case
of any listing changes. Or if you would like to change something on your
information card, then please feel free to Private Message me and I will
get to it as soon as I possibly can. Thank you fellow guardians.

.: COMPLETE LIST OF BLUE SUBS :.

This section will be used to explain what uses
main blue attributed monsters can have on a
Seiryuu team, the information here will be a
mixture of both, mine and Aulanticus' views on
a monster and its role on a Seiryuu team.

Text labled in " quotes " / BOLD / ITALICS will mean that
the info was used from Aulanticus' guide.

Text that is unquoted, will be my opinion of the monster.

    [Farmable Monster]

Siren is a healer monster and a pretty popular one
as well. She is the most desired Healer
Girl from the original Healer Girl Series. The reason
as to why this is true is because she is the only
Healer Girl that is able to create heart orbs. While
Siren is one of the most common monsters wanted
by everyone, her role on a Seiryuu team is her ability to
help stall for turns and sustaining the player's HP. She really
means business by bringing her large amount of RCV and
    amazing active.

Her Active Skill is; Guard Stance - Water. (11 Turns, 5 if Maxed)
Siren's skill is what many call a Heart Maker, it turns a colored
orb into a Heart Orb. She is capable of turning Fire Orbs into
Heart Orbs. Because Fire Orbs isn't a needed color for Seiryuu,
it can be useful for self sustain or perhaps pairing the active
with a Heart Breaker skill like; Attack Stance - Water. It is also
one of the most easy skills to skill up.

Siren's Awoken Skills are pretty much defensive based.
Her first Skill helps resists the orb board from turning completely
black by 20%, this skill is situational but it can also be stacked
with other monsters that have this skill. The reason why it can
be helpful is because since the orb board is completely black,
it makes it much more difficult to activate Seiryuu's Leader Skill.

Siren's second awoken skill is +30 RCV, this allows Siren to reach
a base stat of 0721 without using plus eggs, a moderate Awoken
Skill though, but if a player is having sustain issues then it would
    certainly help with that.

Her last awoken skill is auto-heal, every time an orb match is made
the player will automatically recover 500HP. Again, another
way that Siren makes sure that players have excellent sustain.

Overall, Siren is used for self sustaining and stalling. If you're having
issues with doing these, then perhaps consider making room for her.
Plus keep in mind that she hasn't gotten an ultimate evolution yet,
but since she is already a great monster as is, they will probably do
a little stat boosting here and there along with a Water Sub Element.

    [Farmable Monster]

Mercury Carbuncle is a healer type monster that currently has no
ultimate evolution. She is a also a part of the carbuncles series,
which usually have limited use due to their poor stats and somewhat
mediocre activate skill. Her earlier stages are just as bad as she
is, their actives heal less HP and pretty much should only be used
as subs for beginner rank Seiryuu's team until something better.

Her Active Skill is; Light of Mighty Healing. (10 Turns, 3 if Maxed)
Mercury Carbuncle's skill heals the player's HP by 2000. It can be
easily skilled up whenever Tower of Jewels is active. The final floor
on the hardest difficulty will always drop a fully evolved Carbuncle,
any color Carbuncle has a chance to skill her up but it still isn't that
much of a life changer when it comes to end game Seiryuu Teams.

Mercury Carbuncle's first Awoken Skill is Auto Heal, every time an
orb match is made, the player will automatically recover 500HP. It
is an alright awoken skill for a mediocre monster.

Her second awoken skill is Skill Boost, all monsters that enter a
dungeon will begin with one less turn needed for their actives.
Again, an alright skill for a mediocre monster.

Overall, no. Just no. Pretty much every water monster is better
than putting Mercury Carbuncle on an Seiryuu team. Stats are lacking.
active skill is unnoticeable, and her awoken skills are pretty much
close to none existent. The only reason she would be on a Seiryuu team
is because player literally had nothing else in their box to use, but even
then, I would pick either a somewhat decent Grass or Dark monster over
this one. Sorry, but your sister Carbuncles will be given the same review.

[02.24.14 UPDATE - Fourth Awoken Skill Added]
[02.24.14 UPDATE - English Name Has Been Added]

Heavenly Fortune Goddess, Lakshmi is one of the two Ultimate Evolution forms
of Fortune Deity Lakshmi. On top of getting the grass sub element,
she also acquires the Healer subtype which grants her more RCV
over her Water/Light form. She has the colors for a Seiryuu team,
but what else does she have going for herself?

Her Active Skill is; Magic-Draining Light. (25 Turns, 15 if Maxed)
For the longest time, Lakshmi was known for having one of the most
useless actives in the entire game of PAD. It does 8x her current ATK
of damage to one target on the screen. 50% of the damage she does,
heals the player's HP by that amount. Pretty much, it is a situational heal
that can only be skilled up by feeding fellow Lakshmi or evolving baby
ECO Pepens. The Japanese version get these and #884 as skill up fodder.

Heavenly Fortune Goddess, Lakshmi's first Awoken Skill is Skill Boost, it is a nice skill for
a stat stick cause let's be realistic, if you're using her as a sub for a Seiryuu
Team, then she is pretty much a stat stick since her active doesn't interfere
    with manipulating the orb board.

Her second Awoken Skill is Auto Heal, every time an orb match is made,
the player will automatically recover 500HP. This along with her large RCV
can help with sustaining player's HP when stalling.

Her third Awoken Skill is Bind Recovery, every time a row of six heart orbs is
connected across the screen, one turn of bind will go down on monsters that
are currently binded by the enemy. It was brought to my attention that if
she is currently bound, then her bind recovery will be unuseable which would make
this a very situational skill to have on her.

In version 6.4 of the game, all Gods from the REM gained a fourth Awoken Skill.
Heavenly Fortune Goddess, Lakshmi was given Orb Movement Time Increase,
this Awoken Skill increases the player's orb dragging time by 0.5 Seconds which
can be stackable with other monsters with teh same Awoken Skill which can equal
more drag time. This skill is extremely helpful for a Seiryuu team since more orb
drag time is lovely to have because that can allow players enough added time to
match more combos/match the three colors needed for Seiryuu's Leader Skill.

Overall, in my personal opinion, I think she is just a defensive stat stick. If you're
looking for a team to put her one, you can put her on a Seiryuu team but we all
know that she's only going on there for the RCV and awoken skills plus having the
grass sub element is a bonus for added damage and to be able to activate Seiryuu's
    Leader Skill condition.

Purple Lotus Chanter, Lakshmi is one of the two Ultimate Evolution forms
of Fortune Deity Lakshmi. On top of getting the Light sub element, she
also acquires the Balanced subtype which grants her more HP and ATK
    over her Water/Grass form.

Her Active Skill is; Magic-Draining Light. (25 Turns, 15 if Maxed)
For the longest time, Lakshmi was known for having one of the most

the player will automatically recover 500HP. This along with her moderate RCV
can help with sustaining player's HP when stalling.

Her third Awoken Skill is Enhance Water Attribute, this is where she is
different from her Water/Grass counterpart. This awoken skill increases
all water damage by 10% as long as a complete row of water orbs have been
matched across the board. This can double to 20% if two complete rows have
been matched during the same combo. It is also a Stackable with other
monsters that have the same Awoken Skill which would then multiply
the damage increase depending on the number of Enhance Water
Attributes that are on the team. If majority of the team's damage is water
damage, then this skill can be a game changer as long as there are other
monsters that also have this awoken skill.

In version 6.4 of the game, all Gods from the REM gained a fourth Awoken Skill.
Purple Lotus Chanter, Lakshmi was given Orb Movement Time Increase,

Overall, I think that this version of Lakshmi has more going for a Seiryuu team
despite having the Light Sub-Element. But if players decided to use Isis helpers,
then the light sub element can be a plus for a somewhat easier time. What makes
this version of Lakshmi so much more appealing to me is her third Awoken Skill,
other than that, she is moderately alright.

Deep Chimera is an attacker type monster whose usefulness equals
that of the Carbuncle Series. In other words, they are a last resort
monster that should be replaced as soon as possible. But here is
the review on this pretty but unimpressive monster.

Her Active Skill is; Blizzard Breath. (30 Turns, 10 if Maxed)
Her active skill is an offensive attack that does 20x Deep Chimera's current
ATK as water damage to all enemies. As an added bonus, all water attacks
will be increased by 1.3x ATK for the duration of two turns. The two turn
water damage increase is situational only because you don't quite notice the
    buff's presence at all really.

NOTE; If you use Deep Chimera's active, for the next two turns you will
be unable to use any form of color/type enhancement.

If you're using the Deep Chimera for the active skill then there are better
options like the Water Starter Dragon or any of the Leviathan evolutions,
simply because they have better stats overall than this monster.

As of right now, Deep Chimera has no Ultimate Evolution or Awoken Skills.
This only adds on to how pointless this monster is on a Seiryuu team.

Overall, this monster is useless in every way.

[Mech Dragon Dungeon, Hera-Is Legend, Hera-Is Mythical]

Aldebaran is part of the Mech Dragon Series which of course, makes him a Dragon Type.
He has a high HP pool which is always nice but his RCV is below average which adds stress
for a team when it comes to stalling for turns in Descends. Also, since he is part of a dragon
series, he has the standard Dragon Series Awoken Skills of Enhance Water Orbs and
    one Skill Boost.

His Active Skill is; Blizzard Cannon. (20 Turns, 15 if Maxed)
His active skill is an offensive skill that does 30,000 Water damage to all enemies, it is also
affected by the current element and defense of the monsters on the floor. An add effect
is that all current Water Orbs on the board will also become Enhanced Water orbs, which
adds to the water damage made depending on the number of Enhanced Water orbs that
    was in a single combo.

His first Awoken Skill is Enhanced Water Orb, water orbs that drop after matching a
combo will have a 20% chance of dropping as an Enhanced Water Orb which increases
the water damage made depending on the number of Enhanced Water Orbs that was in a
single combo. This Awoken Skill is stackable which makes the rate of Enhanced Water Orbs
dropping after a match higher depending on the number of this skill on the entire team.

His second Awoken Skill is Skill Boost, all monsters that enter a dungeon will begin with
one less turn needed for their actives. This is standard for a Dragon Series monster,
it is a simple skill that can be easily obtained and one less turn for actives when entering
a dungeon is always nice to have.

Overall, he is a nice HP stat stick with a situational active skill. His Awoken Skills aren't that
much of a game changer but they are easy to obtain so it makes sense as to why they aren't.
If a player is lacking a Blue Orb Enhancer then he can be used as one but that would really
only benefit the team if a majority of the team does water damage.

These two fellows are possible Ultimate Evolutions for the common Blue Ogre. The review
for these isn't going to be long since there is really nothing to say about these monsters.
Their skills are extremely situational since they only do 35,000 Damage to monsters
that their sub element is weak against. For example, the Water/Fire Ogre's active skill will
only attack Grass Element Type monsters while the Water/Grass Ogre's active skill will only
attack Water Element Type monsters. These skill begin as 15 turns, but can be lowered to
    10 turns when maxed.

For Awoken Skills, they get double Skill Boosts which equals to two less turns for active
skills once entering a dungeon. Moderate Awoken Skills for such situational monsters.

Overall, these monsters lack RCV and since their actives are so situational, they are pretty
much placed in the category of usefulness as Chimera and Carbuncles. Replace these
if you have these on your Seiryuu team.

[Sea Serpent Form is farmable: Hera Beorc Legend, Hera Beorc Mythical]

"What was once considered a troll REM pull has now turned into something with the potential to be very
threatening. Leviathan has the exact same skill as Plesios, meaning that he has the exact same (relatively
easy) means to skill him up. Leviathan brings several things to the table over Plesios. His superior stats
(over Plesios), his ability to obtain a green subtype (which not only covers a normally difficult subtype,
but also opens the potential for a monoblue team) and TWO row enhancement awakenings (if you have
the tamadras or pulled more than one of these). Row Enhancement has the potential to be absolutely
amazing if there are enough members on the team that have it. While it’s not as powerful as Idunn
and Idunna, Leviathan still brings something great to team Seiryuu. Leviathan also has a skill boost
awakening, which is something I&I doesn’t have. Unless you have another green alternative (such as
Blue Fruit Dragon), Blue/Green is almost always the way to go."

Also, please note that Leviathan's Water/Water form also obtains the
Physical Subtype. His other forms however, will remain as only Dragons,
they do NOT obtain a Sub Type once they Ultimate Evolve.

Their Active Skill is; Blizzard Breath. (30 Turns, 10 if Maxed)
Their active skill is an offensive attack that does 20x their current

NOTE; If you use Leviathan's active, for the next two turns you will
be unable to use any form of color/type enhancement.

Overall, Leviathan brings two Enhance Water Attribute Awoken skills in which
can be extremely helpful when the player's main source of damage is Water.
Their stats aren't poor except the RCV but their Active Skill can be found lacking
when on a Seiryuu team. Pretty much they are there for the Awoken Skills
    and moderate HP.

    [ECO Collab]

ECO Pepen Alma is a Balanced type monster and is technically the poor version
of Lakshmi. She can only be obtained in the ECO Collab dungeon which has
only appeared once in the US version of the game so far. In Version 6.4
of the game, the ECO Girls were given a total of Two Awoken Skills each in order
to help them be picked for their respectable teams or as subs for teams in low
    rarity dungeons.

Her Active Skill is; Magic-Draining Light. (25 Turns, 15 if Maxed)
Her active skill does the exact same thing as Lakshmi's does, it does 8x her
current ATK of damage to one target on the screen. 50% of the damage she
does, heals the player's HP by that amount. This skill can be skilled up but it is
quite a hassle to attempt to for such a weak monster. It would be better to
skill up Lakshmi over ECO Pepen Alma.

Sidenote; She along with #884 are able to be used as skill up fodder for
all forms of Lakshmi. The skill is still pointless, but at least it can be maxed I guess.

Her first Awoken Skill is Enhance Water Attribute, this awoken skill increases
all water damage by 10% as long as a complete row of water orbs have been
matched across the board.

Her second Awoken Skill is HP Boost, it just increases her HP by 100 points.
Nothing too fancy here with this Awoken Skill.

Overall, it would be better to use any form of Lakshmi over her.
But if you don't have one and for some reason want Magic-Draining Light,
then you will have to snag her whenever ECO Collab returns. But I highly suggest
not bothering with her since there are much better choices out there.

[REM Only - Godfest Exclusive Only]

"His active does little more than clearing trash mobs and tickling bosses (and healing for a meager
amount). But his stats are awesome. That being said, Odin’s main benefits to Karin are neither of
these. First is his Dark subtyping, which allows him to cover dark and make Karin that much closer to
a monoblue build. Second, and his most important, is not one, not two, but three row enhancement
awakenings that he has. Row enhancement awakenings, when stacked together, allow the team to do
amazing damage; possibly without the need for gravity if there is enough of them. Odin’s physical and
god typings may also come into play for hybrid builds, but his use is best on pure monoblue teams.
Additionally, his other awakenings mean three less turns to stall for other actives. Among them, a seven
    star. REM DURING GODFESTS ONLY"

As stated above, this Odin is an amazing monster for any Seiryuu team, of course,
the rarity of the monster is quite up there since it is only obtainable in the REM
along with only being rollable during Godfest. My partner went over his awokening
skills so I will not cover them.

His Active Skill is; Diabolic Lance, Gungnir. (17 Turns, 12 if Maxed)
His active skills allows him to do 50x his current ATK of dark damage to a single target,
along with 15% of the damage healing the player's health. It can be a pretty handy skill
have on the team, especially when deciding to use a Sieryuu team to farm Super Dragons.
Deity Odin is capable of one shotting any Super dragon after getting up there in ATK which
    is a nice little bonus.

Overall, Awoken Deity Odin is an amazing monster to have on Sieryuu Team, the thing
is that he's pretty hard to obtain but if you do manage to pull him, then consider him one
of the best monsters for her team and odds are high that he will be used fairly often as a sub.

there's a decent amount of discussion already happening on a different thread fyi.

    here

aulanticus has been putting together a draft for a while now..the draft is linked somewhere in the thread.

might want to check through that before putting too much effort in to this.

Hmm, I have seen that thread before. Mine is meant to be created as a guide and will also have a friend list along with it.

I'll still make it and I guess we'll see where it goes from there. But thank you for your concern.

Looking forward to this one :)

I have 0 experience with Karin and am still deciding whether I should invest in her. I like that U&Y can be a sub for her team so all the +eggs on U&Y can finally benefit other team than his own.

Problem is there aren't many green devils out there. The only decent ones off the top of my head are Devil Ceres and ulti CDD, both of which have terrible actives for Karin. I don't think it's worth if you don't have an Astaroth.

the other two you missed are zombie dragon (not released in NA) and marine rider robin (shit for rcv and hp). if his ultimate turns out to be any good he might be a viable alternate for a green devil.

sadly, i don't think big burst works that well for 12.25x teams without some sort of staying power and/or delay.

criz's devil burst looks good on max burst, but i wonder about staying power for descends. (can't really comment from experience, don't have half that team)

5902 (devil attack at 99, full awoken, no eggs) + 2802 (seiryuu)
    idealized 3x3 of each color for 9 combos gives 1952087 + 308921 = 2.261 mil damage x 1.43 x 1.43 (grav x2) = 4.62 mil single turn burst (ideal)

against zeus for example, for round 4, i don't think you can kill chimeras. idealized 8704 attack @ 1x5 + 1x3 of each color, 8 combo total = 733k hp, unknown multiplier for resistance/bonus.
