    Why to play Tsubaki lead?
    • Very high damage (×76.56)
    • Only two colors needed
    • RCV boost if you match fire+light
    • Great lead if you have a vast fire sub pool
    • Fun playstyle
    • Haste stack system
    • Fully farmable team possible (Scarlet ×4) What leader is capable of that, huh!? :D
    Why not to play Tsubaki lead?
    • Team needs to be skilled!
    • you need more fire power

    How to play Tsubaki?
    To activate her leader skill you need to match exactly 5 orbs with at least one +orb to enhance the matched attribute (fire). Therefore you need subs with enhanced fire orbs awakening the most. extend time awakenings are also welcomed; you need some time to create a perfect board for Tsubaki. Another nice addition are rows. Since one of the core subs has already two rows (Awoken Leilan), it brings a nice extra burst to the show.
    Optimal board for maximum burst via rows should be like this (variations are possible; you get the picture):
    :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:
    :fire::light::light::light::light::light:
    :light::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:
    :fire::light::light::light::light::light:
    :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:
    With this board you have two red rows, 1 match of 5 fire orbs (incl. enhanced) and 2 matched of 5 light orbs (optimal one of them is with a +orb). The damage does not stack when you have 2 or more matched with exactly 5 orbs incl. enhanced.

    Double activation (meaning 5 red orbs and 5 light orbs) might be better for teams with not so many red rows and many fire / light subs:

    It is to mention that Tsubaki can also be lead with a light sub pool but she's stronger with a fire sub pool.

    Awakenings to look for in your team:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    HASTE
    With haste added to monsters active skills, you can use active skill more often and therefore more efficient, especially with a fully skilled team. A skilled team is most beneficial to a haste stack system, so it’s highly recommended to skill Tsubaki and her subs asap.

    Awoken Leilan is THE core sub for Tsubaki. She creates both red and light orbs and you have a good chance that there’s at least one +fireorb on the board. Of course she can also screw the board up, in this case you should evaluate if it’s worth to use another active to fix the board. Plus other enhanced orbs awakenings can help to get a good Leilan-board, too. Like having some :awakening15::awakening21::awakening9::awakening3::awakening25: on your team. Leilan also gives one turn haste, which is amazing in a haste system team. To have a perfectly working haste system you should skill her up as soon as possible. You may use 1-3 Leilans on your Tsubaki team.

    An orb changer and haster by herself, Tsubaki makes also a very good sub for herself. The haste is even more valuable here. Skilled up, she also has a relatively short cool down and has decent HP and RCV. Her awoken skills are also very useful. Unfortunately no row.

    [IMG] Split-Tsubaki :monster1::monster2: / HP: 3813 (+990) / ATK: 1958 (+495) / RCV: 388 (+297)

    Potentially a better sub, split-ulti-Tsubaki loses her sub-attribute but gains one more skill boost and two (!) Dragon-Killer awakenings. Her stats are also slightly better than F/L Tsubaki.

    Notable awesome Subs: Yamato, Gadius.

    Incredible RCV and a great active skill make Gadius to one great sub for Tsubaki. He recently got a buff for his AS, allowing him to haste his teammates by one turn. The created dark orbs are unneeded so maybe bring an orb changer along who converts dark → fire / heart (Awoken Minerva, Yamato Takeru) maybe even in combination with a heart breaker. Since Tsubaki Teams suffer a low RCV when unplussed, this guy is very useful. His new Ultimate Evolution grands him unbindability (is that even a word?) and a devil-killer awakening.

    [IMG] Confusing Face Great Duke of Hell, Dantalion :monster3::monster5: / HP: 4504 (+990) / ATK: 2303 (+495) / RCV: 266 (+297)

    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Dantalion is great for a haste system but beware, he can remove light orbs!

    [IMG] Squall :monster5: / HP: 2725 (3715) / ATK: 1759 (2254) / RCV: 166 (463)
    Active Skill: Change Heart & Jammer orbs to Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Squall’s Gunblade.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Orb changer and haste in one active, Squall makes a great sub for a Tsubaki system. He get’s rid of annoying jammers and has an enhanced fire orbs and extend time awakening, too!

    [IMG] Misato & AAA Wunder :monster5:/Machine / HP: 2895 (3885) / ATK: 1780 (2275) / RCV: 282 (579)
    Active Skill: Change Dark & Heart orbs to Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    16 Turns ( 9 Turns at Lv.8 )
    How to skill up: Misato TAMADRA, Flampy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Unbindable with a bind clear awakening, double orb change for a massive red board and double TPA and one row: Misato & AAA Wunder. It’s a great collab card, indeed. The TPAs might be less useful but the bind clear awakening is great. Misato converts dark and heart orbs and goes well with Gadius, too. She is NGE Collab REM only and her skill ups are Collab only which makes it a bit harder.

    [IMG] Antares :monster1:/Machine / HP: 2788 (3778) / ATK: 2173 (2668) / RCV: 108 (405)
    Active Skill: Change Heart, Jammer, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Metallic Star Dragon Scorpio
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Two Enhanced hearts and two Enhanced Fire Orbs awakenings make this sub pretty nice. With Tsubakis new buff (one enhanced heart awakening, one more enhanced fire orbs awakening) Antares can convert +hearts into the much needed +fire orbs. Plus, his AS grants one turn haste. Also a good candidate for SI. God Killer awakening is optional

    [IMG] Raoh :monster3::monster5: / HP: 3638 (4628) / ATK: 2125 (2660) / RCV: 63 (360)
    Active Skill: Change Heart, Jammer, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Raoh ChibiDra.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Raoh has the same skill as Antares and like him, runs no danger to overwrite needed light orbs. He is skillable down to 7 turns which is great with a system team and even gives one turn haste! His two rows :awakening13::awakening13: and finger :awakening10: are great and his stats are great (except RCV). Definitely a good add.

    [IMG] Scarlet :monster3: / HP: 3172 (4162) / ATK: 1652 (2147) / RCV: 422 (719)
    ! FARMABLE ! → See team compositions for a completely farmable Scarlet system team
    Active Skill:

    17 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.11 )
    How to skill up: Scarlet herself (Attention: Painful.)
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    One amazing farmable sub is Scarlet. Her dungeon where you can obtain her is a rogue dungeon with Legend Plus difficulty but if you can make it, she rocks in a team. Her active spawns almost enough orbs to activate Tsubakis leader skill and also gives one turn haste. Skilling her up can be tough, though it’s a must. Her stats are great, too. Scarlet makes it possible to run a completely farmable team with Tsubaki as a leader. Fully skilled, a whole sub pool of Scarlets feeds you with fire orbs consequently (her cooldown is at 7 turns and she hastes!).

    [IMG] Cyberdragon Thuban :monster2:/Machine / HP: 3096 (x) / ATK: 1491 (x) / RCV: 125 (x)
    Active Skill: Change top-most row into Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.

    How to skill up: Fire Armor Dragon Sador
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Main argument for this guy is his active skill which creates a row and hastes for one turn. Nice for extra burst or when you're in need of 5 orbs.

    [IMG] Cyberbest Markab :monster1:/Machine / HP: 3024 (x) / ATK: 1467 (x) / RCV: 254 (x)

    Great active for the standard 6x5 boards! Just see that there's at least one +orb in that column.

    [IMG] Nex :monster2::monster5: / HP: 3185 (x) / ATK: 1630 (x) / RCV: 134 (x)
    Active Skill: Change right-most column into Fire orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.

    How to skill up: ボルシャックカード (Collab Skill up fodder).
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    A new ultimate evolution for this collab monster (Duel Masters Collab) has a great active skill and hastes one turn. With a relatively short cooldown when skilled, he can save your skin when out of fire orbs.

    [IMG] New Year Mitsuki :monster7::monster5: / HP: 2124 (3114) / ATK: 1379 (1874) / RCV: 592 (889)
    Active Skill: Change Wood & Dark orbs to Heart orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    13 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: New Year Himiko.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Double heart changer can be a lifesaver for low RCV Tsubaki Teams, plus Mitsukis high RCV herself adds up. She also comes with one enhanced heart awakening, two auto-recover awakenings and even one fire row. With her recover bind awakening she can be very effective clearing binds with her double heart convert.

    Again a healer type with a high RCV and a complete board change. Kikiro would be perfect if she’d had haste, too. Downside of this card: Collab REM only. With her, you don’t need to bring an extra dark orb changer like Minerva. You might use a heart breaker after her AS for an extra burst if you don’t need healing.

    [IMG][IMG] Yamato Takeru :monster1::monster2::monster5: / HP: 3573 (4563) / ATK: 1701 (2196) / RCV: 428 (725)

    Awakenings (New Year Yamato): [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Converts green orbs (might fix a broken Leilan board) and creates hearts, which is precious because of low RCV in general. With an upcoming buff, spirits don’t need to be evolved anymore to skill him up, which is a relief and makes this much easier. Yamato has a bind clear awakening but is bindable by himself, which can be letdown. He has time extent awakening, which is great but no haste in his AS included. His new Super Ultimate Evolution gives him more HP and ATK and two more rows! Also, his active won't change, so skill him up asap.

    [IMG] Krishna :monster1::monster4::monster3: / HP: 3735 (+990) / ATK: 1767 (+450) / RCV: 353 (+297)
    Active Skill: Increase skyfall chance of Fire orbs by 15% for 3 turn. Randomly spawn 2 Fire orbs from non Fire orbs.

    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Soon Super Ultimate Evolution Krishna! GREAT awakenings, him max. skilled and with a haste system, you can keep the flow of red orbs up. He also spawns 2 fire orbs, in case you desperately need one or two more to get at least five.

    [IMG] Mamiya :monster7: / HP: 2123 (3113) / ATK: 1028 (1523) / RCV: 425 (722)
    Active Skill: Change Jammer & Water orbs to Fire orbs.

    How to skill up: Flampy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Nice RCV and a decent orb changer: Mamiya also gets rid of jammer orbs. Great for dungeons where FL1 gives you 99 turns of jammers skyfall. Her HP and ATK are mediocre but she has amazing awakenings which give 20% dark resist, 500 HP auto recover and a clear bind awakening. She’s collab only (Fist of the north star) and has no skill up fodder so far.

    [IMG] A.Cao Cao :monster6::monster3: / HP: 4395 (x) / ATK: 1856 (x) / RCV: 27 (x)
    Active Skill: Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Change Water, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Fire orbs.

    How to skill up: Flampy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Technically also an utility sub (delay), Cao Cao also converts blue and any poison orbs to red orbs. Awoken Cao Cao is the best choice for a Tsubaki team since he has two row awakenings and is unbindable. Massive HP, bad RCV but overall a great sub.

    [IMG] Set :monster1::monster5: / HP: 3450 (4440) / ATK: 1689 (2184) / RCV: 126 (426)
    Active Skill: Change Heart orbs to Fire orbs. Fire attribute ATK ×1.5 for 1 turn.

    How to skill up: Red DeviNyan
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Set is also a damage enhancer but he has a relatively long cooldown for a heart breaker. The other thing of his active skill is fire damage enhance for one turn. Burn a hole in your enemy! He comes with some useful awakenings. Plus he might be useful to get access to "All attributes" dungeons.

    [IMG] Femme :monster7::monster1::monster5: / HP: 2508 (3498) / ATK: 1589 (2084) / RCV: 656 (953)
    Active Skill: Change Heart orbs to Fire orbs.
    11 Turns ( 5 Turns at Lv.7 )
    How to skill up: Big Flamie, Titan, Samurai Goblin.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    RValk is a quick heart breaker and has great stats, especially her RCV is great for low RCV fire teams. She's easy to skill and it's necessary to make the best out of her. Two rows, two TPAs and one enhanced hearts awakenings are great, too.

    [IMG] A. Minerva :monster2::monster3: / HP: 3469 (4459) / ATK: 1659 (2154) / RCV: 398 (695)
    Active Skill: Reduce enemies' defense by 50% for 2 turns. Effects carry forward on sweep. Change Dark orbs to Fire orbs.

    How to skill up: Flame Keeper
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Similar to RValk Femme, Minerva has a very short cooldown of five and converts orbs to fire orbs (no heart break but unneeded dark orbs). She also has one row, one enhanced fire orbs awakening and is unbindable. Also, her active lowers the enemies' defense by 50%, not bad.

    [IMG] Revo Minerva :monster2::monster3::monster1: / HP: 4110 (+990) / ATK: 2109 (+495) / RCV: 503 (+297)

    Revo Minerva is really worth it, her stats are much better now! Her active skill doesn't change which is good, too. RevoMinerva is a good body for a skill inheritance, since she is unbindable, an unbinding skill is recommended. Also nice if you face bosses who switch your leader, if they switch with Minerva, she fits quite nice to a Tsubaki lead.

    GungHo loves Guan Yu and keeps buffing him. He now comes with bind recovery for three turns, heals 300 HP and breaks hearts into fire orbs. Plus he's pretty quick when max. skilled, which is a must imho. He has no :awakening15: enhanced orbs awakenings but at least one row. Could also go as an utility Sub since he is unbindable and a bind clearer (3 turns is great).

    Ares offers a lot of burst (when you can take it) with his double orb change. He kills unneeded water orbs plus heart orbs, if you can manage you can do a great Tsubaki board with 1-2 rows on top. His RCV is not nice to you and he needs to be skilled, his original cooldown is pretty long.

    Awoken Ares is a bit better for a Tsubaki team than the R/L Ares. Downside is that his sub att is changes into useless wood, upside are his awakenings and new AS. He also has his top notch attack back. His two TPA awakenings are also nice for a higher combo when you cannot do a row. Awoken Ares is less good for a row based team but overall a better fit in my opinion.

    Great stats, awakenings and grants haste of two turns, Shiva Dragon makes a good utility sub for a Tsubaki Team. He boosts for two turns at the beginning of a dungeon which is helpful, too. When your teams consists solely of gods, you may also use him as a friend leader.

    Works pretty good with Santa or another active which increases the skyfall of certain orbs. Maeda Keiji hastes one turn and shuffles the board which means when there is a random orb match you get even another turn! He seems almost perfect for a haste system. He works for a :fire: fire based team and even better in a :light: light based team.

    Reshuffling the board means no more locked orbs! This can be a very useful sub or even inherit for some dungeons (for example the Zeus (+297) gift dungeon).

    Awoken Ame is unfortunately quite underwhelming. More HP but the same ATK and even lower RCV, a changed skill, which is not much better but you need Flampys to skill her and one more fire row. She's now Physical / Devil type but this is irrelevant for Tsubaki. If you don't have too many Py, I'd wait until GungHo buff her, because I don't think she'll stay as bad as she is right now.

    Useless awakenings and low HP and ATK make original Echidna situational. Her RCV stat and her active skill can be useful, though. Christmas Echidna is much better because of her two enhanced hearts awakenings (especially with a heart breaker like Antrares). Plus she brings one red row awakening, too. Otherwise her stats are the same as original Echidna.

    Silk is power house for a Tsubaki Team, if you really need a lot of damage, put her on your team and make sure to have a lot or orb enhance awakenings on your team. With a total 20 orb enhance awakenings (incl. heal orb enhance) Silk makes 4x on all ATK output (also the light atk). You can calculate like this: 1+(0.15*x) while x is the number of your enhance awakenings. Double Ulti Tsubaki and Silk active gives you (3*2,5)*(3*2,5)*4=225x on ATK. Neat.

    Awoken Freyr has nice awakenings, some of them are quite useful for a Tsubaki Team (rows, enhanced hearts). His damage multiplier goes for Fire and Water (x2) and lasts for 2 turns. This active skill is suited for boss floors or pre-boss floors since he also hastes for one turn.

    Set is technically also an orb changer but he has a relatively long cooldown for a heart breaker. The other thing of his active skill is fire damage enhance for one turn. Burn a hole in your enemy! He comes with some useful awakenings (2x enhanced fire orbs, 3x TPA and Enhanced heal orbs). Plus he might be useful to get access to "All attributes" dungeons.

    Your team should basically get along without orb enhancers due to enough :awakening15: and :awakening21: awakenings. If you get orb trolled a lot or have a spare sub slot you might try enhancers though. As always: The shorter the cooldown, the better.

    I don’t need to tell how awesome Awoken Shiva is. In a Tsubaki team is more a defense breaker because of his long cooldown (when unskilled). His two Time Extend awakenings are super useful and since he also enhances hearts, they might be broken to get more enhanced fire orbs!

The void the defense of enemies completely which can be useful on PreDras etc. Depending if you want to use the actual sard on your team, you need to see which awakening is more useful for the dungeon (Machine Killer or God Killer) or if you just inherit his skill on a low CD Sub (in this case you can just use unevoed Shiva).

    [IMG] Awoken Horus :monster3::monster1: / HP: 3375 (4365) / ATK: 1324 (1819) / RCV: 570 (867)
    Active Skill: Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. Increases time limit of orb movement by 1 second for 1 turn.

    How to skill up: Flampy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Enhancing every 4 turns is great (if max. skilled) plus Awoken Horus has great HP and RCV. Unfortunately he has no regular skill up fodder.

    [IMG] New Years Horus :monster1::monster5: / HP: 3055 (4045) / ATK: 1824 (2319) / RCV: 90 (387)
    Active Skill: Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.

    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Un-Gyo.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Similar to Awoken Horus but with much less RCV and a bit more ATK. Main thing might be the haste but also the AS cooldown increased to 7 turns if max. skilled which makes him less interesting, unfortunately.

    [IMG] Volleyball Club's Devil, Theurgia :monster5::monster3: / HP: 2650 (3640) / ATK: 1700 (2195) / RCV: 246 (543)
    Active Skill: Randomly spawn 2 Fire orbs from non Fire orbs. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.

    10 Turns ( 4 Turns at Lv.7 )
    How to skill up: Theurgia.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    The awakenings of this Theurgia are great, granting 100% fire OE at a CD of 4. Even the green OE Awakenings can be useful when you use a green orb converter like Yamato or Belial.

    [IMG] Lifive :monster2::monster1: / HP: 3720 (4710) / ATK: 1814 (2309) / RCV: 40 (337)

    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill: Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 2 turns.
    23 Turns ( 13 Turns at Lv.8 )
    How to skill up: Lifive.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Another farmable enhancer but he needs a lot of work, the skilling and the evolving is very costly. He hastes for two turns and enhances all fire orbs why he is only suited for a :fire: fire based Tsubaki team.

    [IMG] Takeminakata :monster1::monster6: / HP: 3928 (4918) / ATK: 1021 (1516) / RCV: 395 (692)

    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill: Enhance Fire & Light orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    15 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.9 )
    How to skill up: Takeminakata (farmable)
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Easy to farm enhancer and even works for fire and light enhance. Awakenings are a bit thin but HP and RCV stats are nice. Easy to skill, too. Works for :fire: fire and :light: light based teams.

    [IMG] Dancing Hera-Ur :monster3::monster1: / HP: 3644 (4634) / ATK: 1728 (+100) (2223) / RCV: 122 (419)

    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill:
    Reduce 10% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.

    14 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.7 )
    How to skill up: Hera-Ur-Senpai, Awoken Dancing Queen Hera-Ur.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    A mini gravity and enhanced fire orbs at an eight turner seems pretty decent. She also brings one row, one enhanced fire orbs awakening and a TPA.

    [IMG] Phoenix :monster5: / HP: 988 (1978) / ATK: 1543 (2038) / RCV: 506 (803)

    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill: Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    15 Turns ( 4 Turns at Lv.12 )
    How to skill up: Velvet shrimp, Phoenix.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    One Auto-Recover and one row awakening are nice but Phoenix is situational at best. His short cooldown is nice to pull your out of emergency situations (no enhanced orb). His stats are mediocre but his RCV is kinda okay.

    [IMG] Theurgia :monster5::monster3: / HP: 1950 (2940) / ATK: 1650 (2145) / RCV: 246 (543)
    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill: Randomly spawn 2 Fire orbs from non Fire orbs. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    10 Turns ( 4 Turns at Lv.7 )
    How to skill up: Theurgia.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Two useful awakenings but overall not a great sub. Her sub attribute is off color and so are her other two awakenings. She only spawns 2 fire orbs. But she’s a farmable option if you’re desperate for an enhancer.

    :light::light::light::light: LIGHT BASED TSUBAKI TEAMS AND SUBS :light::light::light::light:

    If you happen to have more good light subs than fire subs you might want to try a light based Tsubaki team. Her awakenings and sub attribute allow you to play the other way around (5 light orbs with at least one +orb AND a match of fire orbs); all you need is your subs have enough :awakening21: awakenings. Generally awakenings on your team should be (descending priority):
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Disclaimer: Tsubaki is stronger with a fire based team since her main attribute and her awakenings definitely prefer fire.

    Some of the following cards would also fit in a fire based team but if that's the case, I included them before.

    Content:
    • Core subs with haste
    • Core subs without haste
    • Orb changers with haste
    • Orb changers without haste
    • Utility with haste
    • Damage enhancers
    • Orb enhancers

    :light::light: CORE SUBS with haste :light::light:

    [IMG] Saria :monster2::monster6:
    / HP: 4118 (5108) / ATK: 1518 (2013) / RCV: 120 (417)
    Active Skill: Change all orbs to Fire, Light & Heart orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    15 Turns ( 10 Turns at SLv.6 )
    How to skill up: Rotating skill up material → Queen Gold Dragon
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Saria has a perfect active skill for a Tsubaki board. She also provides two light rows which is great for a row based burst. The haste which comes with the active fits perfectly in a haste system. Saria is also a nice addition to fire based teams.

    [IMG][IMG] Kanna :monster2::monster1: / HP: 3378 (4368) / ATK: 1610 (2105) / RCV: 353 (650)
    Active Skill: Dragon & God type cards ATK x2 for 1 turn. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    15 Turns ( 10 Turns at SLv.6 )
    How to skill up: Rotating skill up material → Angelit
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] (Original Kanna)
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] (New Years Kanna)

    Kanna grants a ATK x2 multiplier on all god and dragon type cards which is awesome when your teams is mostly gods and/or dragons. Tsubaki herself has exactly this type. Triple TPA shreds through mops of enemies and her stats are great.

    :light::light: CORE SUBS without haste :light::light:

    [IMG] Ilm :monster3::monster5: / HP: 3175 (4265) / ATK: 1759 (2254) / RCV: 311 (608)
    Active Skill: Change all orbs to Fire & Light orbs.

    How to skill up: Rotating skill up material --> Queen Gold Dragon
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Ilm has a great active skill which changes the whole board into fire and light orbs. He has useful awakenings for a light based team and has great stats. Unfortunately he doesn't haste the team.

    :light::light: ORB CHANGERS with haste :light::light:

    [IMG] Cloud :monster5: / Machine / HP: 2873 (x) / ATK: 1859 (x) / RCV: 488 (x)
    Active Skill: Change right-most column into Light orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Clouds Buster Sword.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Perfect active (let's just hope there is an enhanced orb in that right-most row) and hastes for one turn, Cloud is a great sub for a :light: light based teams, he even comes with a row (though his changed orbs need to be adjusted then but that shouldn't be a problem at all) and is skillable during the FF-Collab. His great RCV can also make a difference.

    [IMG] Pollux Machine / :monster1: / HP: 2823 (3813) / ATK: 1685 (2180) / RCV: 243 (540)
    Active Skill: Change Heart, Jammer, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Light orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Metallic Star Dragon, Light Gemini, Shynpy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Pollux is like Antares just for :light: light based teams. His awakenings are great, with him in the team and Tsubaki you have 60% of all skyfall hearts enhanced. Great when he breaks those hearts then and makes enhanced light orbs. He also hastes one turn and has decent stats. His sub ATT is fire, which is great because you still need to match fire to get the full multiplier.

    [IMG] Elia :monster1::monster7: / HP: 2651 (3641) / ATK: 1523 (2018) / RCV: 614 (911)
    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill:
    Change Dark orbs to Light orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    22 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.16 )
    How to skill up: herself.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Elia needs a lot of work put into her because her cooldown is horribly long. Also her awakenings aren't that useful but she changes unneeded dark orbs into light orbs and hastes one turn. Good stats (especially RCV), too. Attention: Cost of 99.

    [IMG] Supergirl :monster7::monster6: / HP: 3085 (4075) / ATK: 1101 (1596) / RCV: 524 (821)
    Active Skill: Change left-most column into Light orbs and the right-most column into Water orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.5 )
    How to skill up: Shynpy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Not too bad, especially when you have a card which changes water to fire orbs. Her HP and RCV are great and her active was buffed to haste one turn (still waiting on that buff in NA and EU). With that buff they also removed her :awakening21: awakenings, which is a shame for a Tsubaki team plus she has no skill up monster yet.

    [IMG] Apocalypse :monster2::monster1: / HP: 4000 (x) / ATK: 1650 (x) / RCV: 179 (x)
    Active Skill: Change all orbs to Heart, Light & Dark orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    16 Turns ( 10 Turns at Lv.7 )
    How to skill up: Dark Dog Dragon, Chinwandra.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    For his board change you'll need either a heart breaker or better an :dark::fire: orb changer to benefit from his active skill. Stats are decent and he even comes with a few useful awakenings, unfortunately no :awakening21: within (so you need to compensate that with your other subs). But he has two light rows so he's suited for a :light: light based Tsubaki team.

    :light::light: ORB CHANGERS without haste :light::light:
    [IMG] Sun Wukong :monster1::monster6: / HP: 3728 (4718) / ATK: 1374 (1896) / RCV: 576 (873)
    Active Skill: Change Water orbs to Light orbs, Dark orbs to Heart orbs.
    13 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Light Sprite Sunrich.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Great awakenings and double orb change which not only creates light orbs but also hearts make Sun Wukong to a great sub for :light: light based teams. His clear binds awakening :awakening6: is very useful for dungeons where you don't want to take an own bind clearer (Amaterasu or similar) with you but you run the risk that Wukong will get bound by himself. His RCV is great, too. His new Super Ultimate Evo gives him one TPA and an extra skill boost awakening (plus better stats).

    [IMG] Superman :monster5::monster6: / HP: 3915 (x) / ATK: 1977 (x) / RCV: 110 (x)
    Active Skill: Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Light orbs.
    13 Turns ( 9 Turns at Lv.5 )
    How to skill up: Supermans Emblem.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    He creates a three colored board including Tsubakis both colors needed for activation. He has good HP and ATK (bad RCV though) and even brings two rows. No :awakening21: awakenings, so you need to compensate that when you bring him. He fits in both :fire: fire and :light: light based teams but a bit better in :light: light teams.

    [IMG] Diagoldos :monster2::monster5: / HP: 3418 (4408) / ATK: 1715 (2210) / RCV: 106 (403)
    ! FARMABLE !

    15 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.9 )
    How to skill up: himself.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Diagoldos changes five random orbs into light orbs, kinda perfect for a :light: light based Tsubaki Team. A nice farmable alternative.

    How to skill up: 祈願の霊鳥, Yatagarasu
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Awoken Amaterasu has better stats, especially the HP and RCV are awesome. Her cooldown is also lower and even gives one turn haste. She heals not completely (like Dancing Light Amaterasu) but 40% of your maximum HP and clears binds up to 4 rounds. She works for both :fire: fire and :light: light teams.

    [IMG] Dancing Flame Amaterasu :monster1::monster5: / HP: 2721 (3711) / ATK: 1511 (2006) / RCV: 502 (799)

    Amaterasu is a great utility sub if you lack Ame no uzume or need instant healing. She has decent stats and can be a lifesaver in tricky situations.

    Santa offers haste including 10% more Fire & Light orbs for 3 turns. Max. skilled he can be used pretty often and he is farmable.

    [IMG] Maeda Keiji :monster1::monster4: / HP: 3020 (4010) / ATK: 1424 (1919) / RCV: 308 (605)
    Active Skill: Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn. Reshuffle all orbs.
    13 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Light Shibamaru
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Works pretty good with Santa or another active which increases the skyfall of certain orbs. Maeda Keiji hastes one turn and shuffles the board which means when there is a random orb match you get even another turn! He seems almost perfect for a haste system. He works for a :fire: fire based team and even better in a :light: light based team.

    [IMG] Yuna :monster7: / HP: 2738 (5728) / ATK: 1328 (1823) / RCV: 616 (913)

    14 Turns ( 9 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Yunas Staff
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    An utility sub for :light: light based teams with mediocre stats but a good RVC, fits in a haste system team. Unfortunately she has no :awakening21:awakening and no fire as a sub attribute so you need to compensate that when you bring her.

    [IMG] New Year Amaterasu :monster1::monster7: / HP: 3821 (4811) / ATK: 1011 (1506) / RCV: 682 (979)

    :light::light: DAMAGE ENHANCERS :light::light:

    [IMG] Awoken Thor :monster3::monster5: / HP: 3213 (4203) / ATK: 2150 (2645) / RCV: 184 (481)
    Active Skill: Light & Water attribute cards ATK x2 for 2 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.

    How to skill up: Shynpy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Awoken Thor has nice awakenings, some of them are quite useful for a Tsubaki Team (3 rows, enhanced hearts). His damage multipliergoes for Light and Water (x2) and lasts for 2 turns. This active skill is suited for boss floors or pre-boss floors since he also hastes for one turn.

    [IMG][IMG] Thor :monster1: (either :monster6: or :monster5:)
    Active Skill: Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn. Light attribute ATK x1.5 for 3 turns.

    How to skill up: Puchianthus, CoC Rage Barbarian.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Thors other ultimate evolutions have less awakenings but their actives are almost as good as Awoken Thors and lasts one turn longer. Pick the one you like better.

    :light::light: ORB ENHANCERS :light::light:

    Easy to farm enhancer and even works for fire and light enhance. Awakenings are a bit thin but HP and RCV stats are nice. Easy to skill, too. Works for :fire: fire and :light: light based teams.
    [IMG] Wol :monster5: / HP: 3068 (4058) / ATK: 1710 (2205) / RCV: 20 (317)
    Active Skill: Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn. Enhance Light orbs. +6% per orb.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Shynpy.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Not the best card but it might find its use in a :light: light based Tsubaki team: Wol supports a haste system and enhanced all lights orbs. His cooldown is a bit long (and no skill up fodder yet) but with enough haste and skill boosts, it should be doable. His awakenings are okay, he lacks the much needed :awakening21: but comes with a row.

    [IMG] Sagirinokami :monster2: / HP: 3088 (4078) / ATK: 1324 (1819) / RCV: 275 (572)
    Active Skill: Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Enhance Light orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    16 Turns ( 11 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: Spirit.
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Utility and enhance: This sub also delays the enemie(s) for one turn. This is kinda similar to haste. Not the best ATK statistic but HP and RCV are fine. No :awakening21: awakenings, so compensate again with other subs.

    [IMG] Hera-Sowilo :monster3::monster1: / HP: 3505 (x) / ATK: 1425 (x) / RCV: 499 (x)
    ! FARMABLE !
    Active Skill: Reduce 10% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Enhance Light & Dark orbs. +6% per orb.
    13 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.6 )
    How to skill up: herself
    Awakenings: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Utility and enhance: This sub also grants a 35% damage reduction for one turn. No :awakening21: awakenings, so compensate again with other subs. Since her cooldown is pretty long originally, she needs to be skilled up. Her new evo grants 2 more rows, makes a total of three, which is nice.

    POSSIBLE FRIEND LEADERS / HELPERS
    There are some possibilities to pair up with, though another Tsubaki is definitely the best you can pair Tsubaki up with.

    :fire::fire::fire::fire:
    BEST
    [IMG] Tsubaki → ATK ×76.56
    Her multiplier is really high, therefore she’s the best friend helper to get most damage done. Her multiplier is pretty unique, you usually won't be able to match TPAs and rows will only be possible when you used some actives to burst. Therefore it's not only easiest but also best to match up with another Tsubaki.

    NICE
    [IMG] Reincarnated Minerva ATK ×52.5
    The new Minerva is really great and also a great friend lead for Tsubaki. General 3× multiplier on all Fire cards and an extra 2× attack when you match fire and light (what you should do anyway) she also brings a 50% attribute resist against Fire, Light and Dark enemies.

    [IMG] Reincarnated Shiva ATK ×61.25
    Shiva brings a much needed RCV multiplier (×2) with his leader skill, which is great. On the other hand you need to focus on matching five orbs incl. +orb(s) and get 7 combos (at least 4 but the multiplier decreases then). Otherwise he’s a great match because he’s a great card in general.
    [IMG] Awoken Shiva ATK ×45.94

    [IMG] Antares → ATK ×43.75
    Not only a great sub, Antares has a similar leader skill as Tsubaki, match 5 orbs with at least one enhanced orb and ATK becomes ×5.

    [IMG] Shiva Dragon → ATK ×43.75 (if all :monster1: God team)
    If you happen to have solely or mostly :fire::monster1: fire god type cards in your team you might use Shivagon as a friend leader. Two rows :awakening13::awakening13:, two skill boosts :awakening16::awakening16: and one finger :awakening10: are pretty useful, plus he hastes the team for two turns.

    [IMG] Awoken Freyr → ATK ×21.88/ ×32.81 (when used a skill)
    Awoken Freyr also brings a RCV multiplier, ×2.5 for all fire cards to be exact, which is awesome. On the other hand his ATK multiplier isn’t so high. With a haste system you might use skills often so the damage increases. Still a nice match.

    MEDIOCRE
    [IMG] Awoken Minerva → ATK ×21.88
    The only good reason to pait with Minerva is her 50% shield against light, dark and fire enemies. Her damage multiplier is not very high but at least she has an additional :awakening15: awakening.

    :light::light::light::light: Keep in mind that you might lose attack power when you don't (also) match 5 light orbs (incl. +orb(s)) when you play with light cards. Even with light subs Tsubaki friend leader might be your best shot, too.

    [IMG] Kanna → ATK ×30.63 (all :monster1: God or :monster2: Dragons Team)
    One of Tsubakis Dragon Caller sisters can be a nice match if you happen to have solely or mostly God or Dragon type cards in your team. Her 4 TPAs and her active skill give a nice burst, too. It'll be a bit hard to match 5 light orbs AND TPAs but if you feel up to it, do it.

    [IMG] Kanna → ATK ×45.94 (all :monster1: God or :monster2: Dragons Team)
    Same as Light Kanna but with a higher multiplier and one less TPA. You need to do 5 or more combos.

    [IMG] NY Kanna → ATK ×30.63 (all :monster1: God or :monster2: Dragons Team)
    Better match than the original Kanna, the NY Kanna also gives the possibility of a 50% shield by matching a heart cross.

    [IMG] Pollux → ATK ×43.75
    Not only a great sub for light based teams, Pollux has a similar leader skill as Tsubaki, match 5 orbs with at least one enhanced orb and ATK becomes ×5.

    [IMG] Ilm → ATK up to ×87.5
    Despite off-color, Ilm can be a very powerful partner though it might be hard to activate his full potential. His leader skill reads "
    All attribute cards ATK x4 when reaching Light, Light & Fire or Light & Fire & Fire combos. All attribute cards ATK x2.5, RCV x2.5 when reaching 4 or more combos." So you'll need to make as much fire and light combos as possible. With his active skill (complete board change into fire and light) do cascades and activate Tsubakis LS.

    Early to Mid Game Team Compositions

    You rolled Tsubaki? Congratulations!! Tsubaki as a starter roll can be tough, since she relays on awakenings, enhanced fire orbs to be exact. So, Tsubaki as a lead is recommended when you can afford the team cost to run subs with awakenings. So, the term “early game” is a bit wrong I guess. Let’s just take this to a mid game level, so team cost should work out and you have some subs with the needed awakenings.

    :fire::fire::fire::fire: FIRE BASED TEAMS :fire::fire::fire::fire:

    Let’s take you’re very unlucky at the REM, here’s a farmable team composition with a team cost of 69 (at least Rank 65):

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Two quick orb changers, one heart breaker and a delay. Every better evolution you can afford is recommended. If you have REM subs fitting those profiles, feel free to fill them in.
    Important are orb changers and enhanced fire orbs awakenings.[IMG]

    If you have other / better suggestions, feel free to message me!!

    Note: All REM subs can be switched out with other REM subs (or even farmable subs) when they serve the same purpose (orb changer, enhancer, …)

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
    Orb Changer______Orb Changer______Gravity_________Heart breaker______Bind clear________Orb Changer
    Something like this could be a more versatile team with two orb changers and two utility subs. Both leaders are also orb changers, keep that in mind.

    Late and End Game Team Compositions
    You should try get at least one Leilan and evolve her to Awoken Leilan as soon as possible (jewels from the PEM, monsters from their dungeons). So roll whenever Chinese Gods are in the Godfest (optimal would be Fire Gala during Godfest).

    SPECIAL: SCARLET TEAM
    Completely Farmable Team (watch video here)
    For all unlucky REM pullers, you have the possibility to farm yourself a great sub pool for Tsubaki: Scarlet! It is recommended though, to skill every Scarlet so your team has the best output possible. This is a pain but worth it if you're not blessed with fancy REM cards.

    Arena 1 team idea
    Tsubaki/ Tsubaki / Tsubaki / Antares / Napoleon // Tsubaki
    with a spike inherit on Antares and the unbindable leader badge (with a bind cleared with haste, eg Awoken Ama or Rinoa inherited)

    My personal team:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]/[IMG]
    Skill Inheritances: Tsubaki: Kushinadahime (75% shield), Antares: Ilm (bicolor board), RGY: non-awoken Shiva (enhance fire+void def).

    You get the idea for an ideal Tsubaki setup. There are even teams with all four slots Leilans. Remember that haste stacking becomes more efficient the higher the skill levels are. Tsubaki has the potential to clear even the very hard content in PAD, so go with her! You will not regret it.

    :light::light::light::light: LIGHT BASED TEAMS :light::light::light::light:
    Though Tsubakis own main attribute is fire, it is indeed possible to run a light based team, too. Playing light based teams is basically the same as a fire based team just the other way around: Match 5 light orbs with at least one +orb and do at least one fire combo to get the leader skill multiplier. Of course subs and friend leaders are different in this case, though as a friend leader another Tsubaki is still one of the best options. Here are some light based team compositions:

    Need the space so I can insert my ideas of my possible...

    Tsubaki Team: Skill Inheritance ideas
    I list here some active skills where I think the card itself doesn’t fit *perfectly* into a Tsubaki PT (like A.Leilan, CaoCao, Gadius, Kikiro An., etc...). Like it’s main element would be light or it has crappy awakenings, stats, etc. I also list cards where you might think otherwise but please note that this is rather subjective. In my opinion skill inheritance is a luxury and not needed for a good Tsubaki Team. Especially you might not need more orb changers when you already have a good Tsubaki party. You might use this feature when you have dupes or really not use the assistant cards.

    Of course, it’s recommended that the second skill is also maxed so you have the shortest cooldowns possible. My example of cooldowns (CD) is revered to Tsubakis maxed active skill. Of course you can also use any sub of your team you use regularly :) In fact, I never saw a Tsubaki with a second skill because her skill is pretty much perfect for many situations.

    Personally I have a second skill on Antares because I like healing and had an Ilm I don't use. Also I use non-awoken Shiva skill on Red Guan Yu, so I might void defense and enhance fire at the same time. Other skills to consider besides bicolor board change is utility which is otherwise not available in a Tsubaki PT like Def break, Enhance, Unbind, Shield, Delay ... etc.

    :misc6:SHIELD:misc6:
    One of the Things Tsubaki Teams lack are either a gigantic HP pool or a shield. Tanking DQ Hera preemptives is now possible with Skill Inheritance! Here's a list of useful shield actives, which can be used on a Tsubaki Team (personally I have Kushinadahime on my Tsubaki, she's up in coop Floor 1 or 2 and helped me solo Rogue Dungeons like Scarlet etc.)

    Shields are sorted from 100% - 30% damage reduction:

    100%
    [IMG] Rapahel
    Change all orbs to Heart orbs. 100% damage reduction for 2 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 23
    Note: Very Long cooldown and a complete board Change into more or less useless hearts is a downside of Raph. But for 2 turns damage protection, probably worth it.

    [IMG] Ganesha
    100% damage reduction for 1 turn. Enhance Light orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 20

    [IMG] Toki (Fist of the North Star)
    100% damage reduction for 1 turn. Full bind recovery. ( JP ver. )
    second Tsubaki skill CD: 20
    Note: Awesome Active Skill, 20 turns is not too much in Coop, in Solo you might need some stalling. But still great. Since it's also a bind recovery, it's adviced to put this skill on an unbindable Sub.

    75%
    [IMG] Awoken Indra

    75% damage reduction for 2 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 20

    [IMG] Rain (Final Fantasy)
    Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn. 75% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 16

    [IMG]
    Kushinadahime
    (no matter which Evo)
    75% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Awoken Kushinadahime

    75% damage reduction for 1 turn. +1 combo count for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 17

    50%
    [IMG] Yuna
    (Final Fantasy)
    50% damage reduction for 1 turn. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 16

    [IMG] Balboa
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. 50% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 18
    Note
    : Not only a shield but also voids defense of the enemy.

    [IMG] Baldin
    50% damage reduction for 2 turns. Dragon & Machine type cards ATK x2 for 2 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 22
    Note:
    Also a damage enhancer if you happen to have mostly Dragons and Machines on your Team. Nice!

    [IMG] A.Susano
    50% damage reduction for 3 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 18

    [IMG] Rei
    50% damage reduction for 2 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 16

    [IMG]
    Grim Crystal
    50% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 14

    35%

    [IMG] Napoleon (Gala exclusive)
    Randomly spawn 3 Fire orbs from non Fire orbs. 35% damage reduction for 3 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 12
    Note: He's a great sub actually so you might also just use him as a regular sub.

    [IMG] Orihime (Bleach)
    35% damage reduction for 1 turn. Randomly spawn 3 Heart orbs from non Wood & Heart orbs.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 12

    [IMG] Dark Metatron (no matter which evo)
    Enhance Dark orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 35% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 12
    Note: Useless side effect is the dark enhance, make it useful with using Minerva or similar Cards afterwards.

    [IMG] Cursed Dragon
    Enhance Dark orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 35% damage reduction for 2 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 13
    Note: Useless side effect is the dark enhance, make it useful with using Minerva or similar Cards afterwards.

    [IMG] Sagara Takeshi (JP only.)
    35% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 11

    30%
    [IMG] Summer Awilda

    Inflict Water damage equal to ATK x20 to 1 enemy. Affected by enemy element and defense. 30% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 12

    [IMG] Phoenix Rider

    30% damage reduction for 4 turns.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 13
    Note:
    He's a good Sub himself, so you might use him actually on your Team. 4 turns shield is really nice.

    :misc17:DEFENSE BREAK:misc17:
    It's unlikely that Tsubaki cannot burn through a defense but if it happens (Predras etc.) you might use an inherited skill to make your way.

    DEF to 0%
    [IMG] Shiva, the destroyer
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 18
    Note: Also a fire orb enhancer!! Personally use Shiva on RGY.

    [IMG] Balboa
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. 50% damage reduction for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 18
    Note: Also shield! Super handy!

    [IMG] Kenshiro
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. Increases time limit of orb movement by 7 seconds for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 19
    Note: Huge time extent for one turn, too.

    [IMG] Top Droidragon
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 29
    Note: Gift in NA, no idea if ever be in EU. Very long cooldown, so not optimal.

    DEF reduce by 75%
    [IMG] GZL
    Attacker type cards ATK x2 for 1 turn. Reduce enemies' defense by 75% for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Awoken Hinokagutsuchi
    Reduce enemies' defense by 75% for 2 turns. Effects carry forward on sweep. Change Water orbs to Fire orbs, Heart orbs to Dark orbs.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 14
    Note: Also makes Water to Fire (and useless dark orbs out of hearts).

    [IMG] Awoken Shiva
    Reduce enemies' defense by 75% for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. Enhance Fire & Heart orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 14
    Note: Also enhanced fire orbs.

    DEF reduce by 50%

    [IMG] Awoken Minerva
    Reduce enemies' defense by 50% for 2 turns. Effects carry forward on sweep. Change Dark orbs to Fire orbs.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 12
    Note: She's a good sub actually, so you might also use her on the team as a regular sub. 50% defense reduction is often enough for standard bosses, xp dragons etc. but might not be enough for high def enemies.

    [IMG] Non-Awoken Minerva
    Deal 99 damage to 1 enemy. Ignore enemy element and defense. Reduce enemies' defense by 50% for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 10
    Note: True Damage is nice but it's only for one enemy and not the entire floor, so beware.

    [IMG] Ace Bastet
    All attacks become multi-target for 3 turns. Reduce enemies' defense by 50% for 3 turns. Effects carry forward on sweep.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 13
    Note: Effect is for three turns and carries on if you sweep the floor. Nice!

    :misc1:Delay:misc1:
    Delay is quite useful, especially on resolve bosses who do not preempt a shield.

    5 turns
    [IMG] [IMG] Zeta Hydra and Orochi
    Delay 5 turns to all enemies.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 27
    Note: 5 turns delay is luxury; mostly not needed and has a very long cooldown.

    4 turns

    [IMG] Awoken Orochi
    Delay 4 turns to all enemies.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 22

    2 turns

    [IMG] Batman+S.Gloves
    Delay 2 turns to all enemies.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 16

    [IMG] [IMG] Sun-Quan
    Delay 2 turns to all enemies. ((Healer type cards ATK x2 for 2 turns.)) or ((Water attribute ATK x2 for 2 turns.))
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 20

    1 turn

    [IMG] [IMG] Wee Jas
    Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Change bottom-most row into Heart orbs.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 19

    [IMG] Forest Bahn
    Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Enhance Wood orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Rangiku (Bleach)
    Increases time limit of orb movement by 1 second for 2 turns. Delay 1 turn to all enemies.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 17

    [IMG] Kenpachi (Bleach)
    Enhance Dark orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. Delay 1 turn to all enemies.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 17

    [IMG] Wonder Woman (DC Collab)
    Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Increases time limit of orb movement by 1 second for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG]
    Sagirinokami
    Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Enhance Light orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Okuninushi
    Delay 1 turn to all enemies. Dark attribute ATK x1.5 for 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Sakuya Another (Shinrabansho REM)
    Reduce 20% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Delay 1 turn to all enemies.

    :awakening27:BIND CLEAR:awakening6:
    Of course it is best to put a bind clear skill on an unbindable card, or use the badge "unbindable leader) for yourself and use the Skill Inheritance on Tsubaki.

    Full bind recovery
    [IMG] Toki (Fist of the north star)
    100% damage reduction for 1 turn. Full bind recovery.
    ( JP ver. )
    20 Turns ( 13 Turns at Lv.8 ) ( JP ver. )
    Note: Full bind recovery and a 100% shield for one turn is amazing. Cooldown is accordingly long.

    [IMG] [IMG] Amaterasu / Ceres
    Full HP recovery. Full bind recovery.
    20 Turns ( 10 Turns at Lv.11 )
    Note: Classic bind clearers, non-awoken forms of those have a mediocre CD and give complete recovery, also for health.

    5 turns bind recovery
    [IMG] Green Odin

    Inflict Light damage equal to ATK x50 to 1 enemy, and drain 15% of the damage you dealt. Affected by enemy element and defense. Bind recovery for 5 turns.
    17 Turns ( 9 Turns at Lv.9 )
    Note: Recently buffed, Odin now recovers 5 turns of binds. Other effects of his skill are a bit health recovery and a small light damage to one enemy. With only 9 turns, not a too bad choice of SI.

    4 turns bind recovery
    [IMG] [IMG] Awoken & New Years Amaterasu

    Recover 40% of max HP. Bind recovery for 4 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.5 )
    Note: A medium cooldown and one turn haste is nice for a Tsubaki team. Also recovers HP.

    [IMG] [IMG] Ame no uzume
    All attribute cards RCV x1.5 for 4 turns. Bind recovery for 4 turns.
    11 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: Short cooldown and a RCV boost for four turns extra. Definitely worth it. She might be taken in the actual team too if you need a very quick bind clear (like floor 1). Make sure you use her unbindable form in that case.

    [IMG] Halloween Alraune
    Bind recovery for 4 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: Haste is nice, too. 7 turns is mediocre.

    3 turns bind recovery
    [IMG] Awoken Sakuya

    Reduce 20% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Bind recovery for 3 turns.
    14 Turns ( 10 Turns at Lv.5 )
    Note: Gravity too! Nice.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Dragon Knights
    Change Heart orbs to (either :fire::water::earth::light: or :dark: accordingly) orbs. Bind recovery for 3 turns.
    11 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: Short cooldown and also heartbreakers, which makes the Fire Dragon Knight the best choice for a Tsubaki team. The stats and awakenings of this series is not even close to great so you might use them as skill granters.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Fairytale Princesses
    Change Water orbs to Heart orbs. Bind recovery for 3 turns. (Red Riding Hood, Cinderella)
    Change Wood orbs to Heart orbs. Bind recovery for 3 turns. (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty)
    11 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: The green one of this series (Thumbelina) is not suitable because she converts fire to heart. The other princesses are quite useful, their cooldown is short and they even make hearts.

    [IMG] [IMG] Guan Yu
    Change Heart & Poison orbs to Fire orbs. Recover 3000 HP. Bind recovery for 3 turns. (RGY)
    Change Heart & Poison orbs to Wood orbs. Recover 3000 HP. Bind recovery for 3 turns. (GGY)
    12 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.7 )
    Note: RGY is a nice actual team member, too. Short cooldown and removes poison and heart, RGY is of course your better choice.

    [IMG] Awoken Ceres
    Recover 30% of max HP. Bind recovery for 3 turns.
    9 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.4 )
    Note: Awoken Ceres has no full recovery (HP & binds) but has a shorter cooldown which comes in extra handy when it's about skill inheritance.

    [IMG] [IMG] Light Metatron / Bikinitron
    Recover RCV x8 HP. Bind recovery for 3 turns.
    11 Turns ( 4 Turns at Lv.8 )
    Note: Very short cooldown and even a bit of HP recovery, LMeta is a classic bind clearer which is also nice for SI.

    [IMG] Rinoa (Finaly Fantasy)
    Recover 5000 HP. Bind recovery for 3 turns. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: Haste inclusive!

    2 turns bind recovery
    [IMG] [IMG] Isis or SS Isis (PAD Academy)
    Recover RCV x5 HP. Bind recovery for 2 turns.
    8 Turns ( 3 Turns at Lv.6 )
    Note: Super duper short cooldown, very useful.

    [IMG] Awoken Isis
    15% damage reduction for 1 turn. Bind recovery for 2 turns.
    7 Turns ( 3 Turns at Lv.5 )
    Note: Super duper short cooldown part 2, this time with a small shield.

    :fire:ORB CHANGERS:light:

    Even though a good Tsubaki Team already has a bunch of orb changers, there might be an opportunity to inherit on a sub, eg a heart breaker or similar card with a low cooldown.

    [IMG] Superman :fire::light::water:
    Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Light orbs. 13 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.6 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Ilm :fire::light:
    Change all orbs to Fire & Light orbs. 19 Turns ( 12 Turns at Lv.8 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 19
    Note: Ideal burst board is likely. I have Ilm inherited on Antares and mostly use this skill to kill the boss.

    [IMG] Saria :fire::light::heart:
    Change all orbs to Fire, Light & Heart orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 17

    ORB ENHANCERS:awakening15:
    [IMG] Non-Awoken Horus (super low CD!)
    Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 15 Turns ( 3 Turns at Lv.13 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 10

    [IMG] Awoken Horus (slightly longer CD but time extent!)
    Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. Increases time limit of orb movement by 2 seconds for 1 turn. 8 Turns ( 4 Turns at Lv.5 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 11

    [IMG] New Years Horus
    Enhance Fire & Light orbs. +6% per orb. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn.
    12 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.6 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 14

    [IMG] Non-Awoken Shiva
    Reduce enemies' defense to 0 for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 22 Turns ( 11 Turns at Lv.12 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 18

    [IMG] Awoken Shiva
    Reduce enemies' defense by 75% for 1 turn. Effects carry forward on sweep. Enhance Fire & Heart orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 13 Turns ( 7 Turns at Lv.7 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 14

    [IMG] awoken dancing queen hera-ur (UNSURE IF THIS WORKS!)
    Reduce 10% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 14 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.7 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Shaitan
    Avoid all Wood damage for 3 turns. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. 20 Turns ( 10 Turns at Lv.11 ) ( JP ver. )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 17

    [IMG]
    Volleyball Club's Devil, Theurgia
    Randomly spawn 2 Fire orbs from non Fire orbs. Enhance Fire orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. ( 4 Turns at Lv.7 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 11

    DAMAGE ENHANCERS :misc19:
    [IMG] Scarlet Jewel Princess, Silk

    ATK x1.15 for 1 turn for every Enhanced Fire Orbs, Enhanced Light Orbs,Enhanced Heart Orbs on the team.
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 21
    Might be needed for a Arena:Kali kill if you don't have all red orbs enhanced. Silk is a massive burst for most teams and is one of the best inherits for a Tsubaki team.

    HEART MAKERS :heart:
    [IMG] Red Riding Hoor (but she is unbindable)
    Change Water orbs to Heart orbs. Bind recovery for 3 turns. 11 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.6 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 13
    Basically all from this series are nice assistants except of Thumbelina.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG] Chester
    Reduce 10% of all enemies' HP. Ignore enemy element and defense. Change Jammer & Poison orbs to Heart orbs. 12 Turns ( 8 Turns at Lv.5 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 15

    [IMG] Strawberry Dragon
    Recover 30% of max HP. Change Wood orbs to Heart orbs. 13 Turns ( 6 Turns at Lv.8 )
    → second Tsubaki skill CD: 13

    Wow, this guide is looking really fantastic! Thank you very much for writing it! :)

    As for team suggestions, the only thing I can think to add is that all the videos I've seen of Tsubaki beating Arena 1 (am not aware of any clears with Arena 2 yet) have used Pure to turn Kali green. Here is a (rather dodgy) excerpt of a video using Pure, Gadius, Set and Leilan as subs, which one-shots her.

    I think using Awoken Freyr should also be possible, but I haven't been successful yet...

    Regarding other leader pairings, Ilm also works quite well, as typically when you activate Tsubaki you can also activate Ilm as well.

    Thank you very much :happy: I still need to get some work done with it (adding awakenings and PADX links to all monsters) but I am satisfied how it came out.
    I hope this will be useful to new and old Tsubaki users. And I am always open to suggestions and will add information users will bring. :bookworm:

    I wasn't aware Tsubaki can clear Arena 1! Wow! Added the team to the team suggestions with the video link and added the video, too. I wanted to paste some clear videos, will see when I have time to dig those out of YouTube ...

    About Ilm: I've never played with him.. and I don't quite understand the leader skill lol. Can you take a look at how I included him and tell me if the text makes sense? :bag: Thank you!

    This is a great review and managed to get a few new buddies with Tsubaki, thanks. Hope she becomes even more popular in the future.. Activating her leader skill is actually quite fun, less frantic and stressful than Bastet. I've found having a mix of off-colour leads is just as effective too - Kanna causes havoc especially is you sneak in a cheeky TPA. May be looking for a permanent Tsubaki lead available with the bf reset around the corner..

    Kanna only supports God type, so you need to see that your team is gods only. It's possible though! There are also some nice subs which have God / Dragon Typing which would be perfect for Kanna helper.

    Some :fire: and :light: primary ATT with :monster1::monster2: type: (I excluded cards with bad actives for Tsubaki PT)
    :fire:[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
    :light:[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Some cards with :monster1: type: (I excluded cards with bad actives for Tsubaki PT)
    :fire: [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
    :light: [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG] (many more)

    You just need to take care that you have enough :awakening15: or respective :awakening21: awakenings. Haste always helps. There are some useful cards and I already saw some of them in regular Tsubaki teams like Amaterasu for bind clears and healing, though Ame no uzume is similarly good.
