Alt Arena remains the only dungeon I haven't cleared. I don't want to grind it out with Kiri etc. because that gives me headaches just thinking about it. I can't co-op it because that's too much of a time commitment for one sitting.

I don't give a fuck about farming this 100% or even 75%. I just want one clear. But I don't want to keep wasting time grinding out several floors just to get an autoloss on Starling. I would rather have a team that can QUICKLY get to the fork in the road where I either die automatically or have a shot at finishing the run. What is a good team for quickly throwing a lot of shit at the wall, until something sticks?

If it makes a difference, I do have Fujin.

I have tried soloing with Gronia, Rikuu, and AnuBlos. Rikuu gets walled hard by Starling. Gronia has no damage. Anublos doesn't have the HP for pre-empts. What should I do?

Gronia seems to clear it pretty reliably if you have RagDragon subs with god killers and spike options.

its pretty grindy though. some spawns can really bog your runs down.

Floor two spawns the a red dragon that has 40 mil health, a 50% shield to green, and puts up a 75% shield every 4 turns that last four turns. when he has the shield up he's reducing ghis damage by 93% for the gronia team.

@ViewtifulGene if all you want is the one blessed run, I know Amun and Anubis CAN clear it.

    Re: Gronia

Last time I tried it was impossible to damage starling appreciably. Also, I was clean shaven when I started fighting the red orb dragon, but had a ZZ Top beard by the time he died.

There is no one ta-da team that breezes through AA, you have to either make compromises or accept some spawns are just going to suck for some teams.

How is Anubis supposed to not die when there are pre-empts on par with his HP cap every other floor?

There aren't enough active slots to confirm full health every single turn.

I did it with Rushana 7x6. Tons of HP, lots of stalling if you have Mel, and can hit huge numbers without a spike.

I mean like. you're looking for a pretty blessed run with Anubis. just that I've seen clear videos of it.

I know it isn't your preference, but coop hp makes a world of difference to making a lot of the 41k 47k etc preemptives naturally, versus being under thresholds and either dying to rng spawns or heavily contorting team with shields/actives/Nees^Nees in a dungeon already overloaded with actives/slots pressure.

Tangent: I've gone pretty deep with inherited Li strategies in selfcoop. Though that is only relevant if you have Li, and that kind of stall / playstyle willingness.

Out of curiosity, how did you deal with / not die to leader binds on rushana killing your x2 hp, etc. Badge? Interesting approach in any case. May give it a try sometime.

How are you making her 7x6?

Diablos split sounds nightmarish because I would need 8C with 2 crosses.

My only experience running Rushana 5x6 has been negative.

    Lol.
You want to beat alt.arena, but you don't want to 8 combo a 6x7 board.
I love it. You're my grumpy cat with a salt shaker on the collar hero.

Crosses take months to get really good with though.
Not a critique, just from my experience they take a long time to get high velocity with.
I can understand that being accessible into the hardest content only to people that have practiced it a lot as a favorite style in it's own right.

I could maybe manage it for a one-off Descend, but I guarantee I would die of exhaustion if I tried if tried to 8C double cross in a long-ass dungeon with a grindy-assed lead.

I have a finite amount of brain cells I can exert on the game each week before I get too pissed to think straight.

Only less than a handful of leads capable of breezing through every floor such as Ed, Typhon, NY Yomi and Rikuu but they have one or two key subs that might be hard to get. The easiest one is Rikuu with a team looked like this:

Rikuu (Fujin or Uruka)/RagDra (Indra)/Amatsu or Cotton (delay)/OdinDra (Rathian weapon)/Kiri (Carat).

man, even Ed isnt going to sweep every floor unless you have ideal or enra or cronus or something. natural boards and all 2 7c subs are still only going to net you 30ish mil team damage before resists are factored in. And Rikuu is super fragile unless you're rocking Amatsu or something. AA is grindy by nature.

Yeah i have been trying with ed diablos and its still a grind. The hp pools are just too high to one shot everything i remember popping fujin on starling comboing the board out and barely taking out half his health lol

Lead with Shazel and swap in Rushana. Needs stalling on 2nd floor unless it's the light dragon, in which case you stall later.

If you want to beat this dungeon then it's worth doing a bit of stalling just to get it over with once.

@HappyNoms I can't remember, tbh. I had OdinDra. I tried a bunch of times and died a bunch of times, but in most cases they were just PSI issues, so I never felt like the team was to blame.

No Shazel and no swaps. Can't do that even if I wanted to.
