    ----------------------------------

    1. Aizen's Playstyle: Advantages & Disadvantages

Leader Skill: Dark attribute cards ATK x6. Water attribute cards RCV x2. ATK x2 for clearing each Dark orbs in a cross formation.

A first glance at Aizen is that he's ridiculously powerful. His ability to control damage effectively for sweeping through some of the most difficult end-game content and also provides almost all the utility himself puts him on par- even rivaling above/against some of the high tank-burst style meta leads in the game(Ra Dragon, Myr, Dark Athena, Krishna, etc.). One of the greatest benefits of Aizen is his ability to not rely on a gemstone princess active to get around hardcore content, which saves him a sub slot for more utility or orb changers. Aizen also makes certain enemies like Hephaestus dragon from the most difficult for even the top tanky teams like Ra Dragon and DAthena into an easy clear for himself as he can burst on demand when necessary.

It helps that compared to some of the leads at the top, he also supplies a simple but effective and powerful hero-style active skill that provides both offensive and defensive utility at the same time. His active skill is also unique in that it changes his attribute to dark, allowing him to contribute more damage whenever necessary(in which nearly 99% of cases it isn't because your subs would be unbound), or stay off-color to deal damage against enemies who have dark absorb in general.

The most significant downside that prevents him from breaking the elite of the elite gate is his lack of HP multiplier. However with many buffs that have came in recently for providing stat bonuses, the problem of HP has been significantly reduced. That being said for those who are looking to clear Annihilation-Arena 3 hardcore dungeons, it may be difficult to do without playing in co-op, having quality REM dark subs(mitigated as well due to skill inheritance and Zaerog Infinity being ridiculous) or the use of Indra's Shield- one of the most important aspects which mitigates this problem for Aizen's lack of tankiness.

Addressing Aizen in Co-op: There is literally nothing stopping this monster from steamrolling any of the content today. Since the only weakness for Aizen is lack of HP, Co-op addresses this problem and the only downside stopping him from steamrolling content 24/7 would be skyfall RNG.

    2. Sub Compositions
This is split up into three sections:
    • 2.A. - What makes a good/niche sub?
    • 2.B. - What latents serve nice as a bonus?
    • 2.C. - List of Dark/water based subs

    2.A. What makes a good/niche sub?
Stats, Active Skill and awakenings are what balances around a sub to determine the overall usefulness of the monster itself and the dungeon that the player will tackle with Aizen.

One of the most important factors to look over for a sub is the awakenings they provide. Below are some noticeable awakenings to keep an eye out for:
    Priority Awakenings
[IMG] - An absolute must. Have 5 or more of these awakenings on the team.
[IMG] - While Dual Aizen leads provide 4 skill boosts on their own - just make sure you have 3 or more skill boosts to have some important orb changing skills up by floor 1.
[IMG] - Orb enhance is one of the most important aspects in contributing to Aizen's Damage. As Aizen himself provides no offensive awakenings, sweeping trash floors will be significantly more difficult, or can make or break the damage on a very high HP based monster(Radar Dragons for instance). This works in conjunction with...
[IMG] - Two-Pronged Attack(TPA) makes it easier to sweep through trash floors, especially when stacked with orb enhance awakenings.

    Niche Awakenings
[IMG] - As the only enemy who basically kills everybody that dosen't have a HP multiplier is DQ hera, this can more than often spare you the need of using a shield active skill. It can also help on Zaerog's 100% zero blasts if you for some reason have light sub attributes that screw you over with skyfall.
[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG] - Similar to dark resist, but all of these awakenings play a lesser impactful role.
[IMG] - If you're having player skill issues with only 7 seconds Aizen provides, just hope that someone like Zaerog Infinity or Anubis has them for your team.
[IMG][IMG] - Not necessary since Aizen himself can clear binds, but can spare you the sanity for enemies like Noah Dragon.
[IMG] - While it helps making trash floors sweeping easier, in dungeons where damage control is emphasized(Arena 3, MAthena) if you hit 7 combos from a double cross skyfall you are only going to screw yourself over. On the other hand, in colosseum where you don't have to worry about damage absorbs- then this awakening just adds more taste to the damage output, but usually is not necessary as Aizen already provides all the offensive power in his leader skill.
[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG] - All of these awakenings are going to give problems in Arena 3 against radar dragons or for damage absorb/resolve enemies. In Colosseum, they do benefit greatly(especially machine killer). In dungeons like MHera, I wouldn't like to be stalling on Sadalmelik with a machine killer awakening on my team. Take caution when using a sub that has these killer awakenings in it.

Other awakenings that aren't listed here are lackluster, so don't bother with them.

2.B. - What latents serve nice as a bonus?
    placeholder for sdr and stuff

    2.C. List of Dark/Water subs
    Rankings:
    S - Near irreplacable on a team.
A - Can be placed on nearly every team and is very seldom swapped out.
B - Provides maybe one-two vital usage, but lacks in another department on its own
    C - Niche purpose.
D - Last resort if you do not have anything else - these are usually just mentioned in a list of subs with no analysis beside them.
★ - Special cases, but when used it's very effective

    - Reincarnated Yomi - S - Basically Zaerog except provides no TPA, has 4 time extends and no additional skill boost. Yomi's HP is higher in single player than Zaerog, making her a desirable skill inheritance base sub but also loses against him in co-op mode for stat comparison. Between these two will depend on whichever mode you choose to play in.

    - Zaerog∞ - FARMABLE - S - Zaerog is one of the best farmables in the game and he only becomes better as an Aizen-top notch sub. He's got amazing stats, is on color, a short cooldown for inheritance and all of his awakenings contribute to Aizen's offensive power. Zaerog only becomes better in co-op when the buff hits as he will become a 7500~ HP monster and his ATK stat is buffed by then to match on with other REM monsters like Reincarnated Persephone, who's high attack stats would prove problematic for evenly distributed damage control on certain enemy spawns. The only downside compared to DMeta would be lack of unbindability, but for all of the utility he provides is beyond expectations for a farmable(and in my personal opinion, outclasses DMeta). Definitely farm for 2 Zaerogs if you can, it also makes inheritance significantly easier for you(or throw 2 on each co-op player side for an additional 10k HP in co-op when hypermaxed).

    - DAthena(Dark Athena) - S - Dark Athena sports amazing attack along with a powerful active skill and three TPAs + unbindability to top her off. If you don't like Aizen with Orochi's skill, then this is your next best monster to inherit a delay on DAthena. One of her primary usages can be notable in Colosseum - A delay is handy to deal with floor 15, freeing up an inherit skill for Aizen.

    - DMeta(Dark Metatron) - A+ - DMeta functions very similar to Zaerog as a Base Inherit Carrier, however contains unbindability and wasted dark rows, has significantly lower HP and that's about it for her. Still a good card to have inheritance on, there may be times where she's better than Zaerog especially when factoring in some annoying binds from enemies like Noah Dragon. Her shield can also come in handy in the event of a skill delay(Hephaestus Dragon) and may spare you a turn to have more room for error of preparing your board for sweeping a floor down.

    - Sephiroth - B★ - Sephiroth provides massive damage along with 3 killers to boot. He's basically the annihilator of Colosseum, dealing 9x damage to so many enemies in that dungeon alone.

    - Fallen Angel Lucifer - C★ Lucifer gets special mention here for his powerful machine killer, a great awakening for dealing with Ultimate Colosseum. Outside of that he has seriously low HP, making him not an ideal choice for many scenarios in general and is heavily outclassed by Sephiroth.

    - Halloween Thoth & Sopdet - C★ - The only main appeal out of Thoth & Sopdet would be their incredible awakenings, with a bonus of 2 dark orb enhances and a TPA altogether. As dark in the game is featured in the Annihilation-class dungeons hitting like freaking trucks per turn(or in the case of DQ Hera with her nasty preemptive strike), just them sitting there grants a passive 20% HP dark damage reduction to enemies like Machine Hera and DQ Hera. While one can throw 20 latent dark resist awakenings on their whole team for solo mode Arena 3, that can also lead to the reduction of SDR latent awakenings which are important for eating up skill delays from dangerous enemies such as Hephaestus Dragon. Outside of this special role however, they won't find much use anywhere else, simply because the active skill and stats don't meet up with the end-game content's standards.

    - Kaioh - S★ - He lacks recovery and that's it. Kaioh sports a monstrous HP pool that is the highest in the dark sub department. While his awakenings seem odd at first, all of his resist awakenings means that the whole team is gaining an effective 5% HP- not much but still invaluable for Aizen. Since Aizen's main concern is HP, Kaioh addresses that problem just by being there on the team. Kaioh also provides a very unique active skill that guarantees a 576x multiplier right off the use.

    - D/L Split Ult Satsuki - S - Sports four TPAs and a devil killer at the end which can be easily omitted by the player's choice. She lacks recovery but that's it. Satsuki can easily sweep trash floors with a single TPA and has a strong active skill that combines haste while cleaning up junk and water orbs. If you think that Kanna is what makes Myr really best for doing stupid damage with TPAs, look forward to Satsuki who is basically the Kanna equivalent of Myr for sweeping trash floors.

    - Dark God, Yomi Dragon - MP Shop - S - Yomi Dragon has ridiculously amazing attack, is unbindable with utility awakenings and a strong HP pool that's short slightly below Anubis, but also provides hearts which is what gives her a slight advantage above such a monster Anubis is already. While her attack is exceptionally high, do take understanding that it can easily become a problem in dungeons like Arena 3 if your other subs cannot match to the same attack stat as Yomi Dragon.

Reincarnated Anubis - S - While laughable at first glance, his stats and active skill are actually amazing - Sporting a massive HP pool on his own, great recovery even while not wielding a water sub attribute and active skill for converting any trash and wood orbs while dosen't break hearts into dark. The taste to top off this monster is himself being unbindable and providing two time extends, which are always appreciated for cross-meta leads.

    - Beach Pandora - A+ - Everything about Beach Pandora is excellent- on color to take full advantage of Aizen's leader skill, converts orbs to dark and hearts while providing relevant awakenings to Aizen with 2 TPAs, 2 skill boosts and very high recovery. It's unfortunate that she lacks HP in comparison to many of the cards above her, which can play a drastic difference in the hard end-game dungeons.

    - Sima Yi - No Uevos - A-★ - While Sima Yi is on-color with Aizen and hits hard with a 7c awakening combo + yields 2 TPAs, his lack of stats and questionable 7c awakening can play a double edged sword in times where you need damage control. His active skill is the biggest selling point of what makes him amazing for getting Aizen out of a sticky situation with locked orbs especially being common in Colosseum.

    - Gremory - A- - The active skill and stats of Gremory are pretty amazing without question, sporting a whopping 1040 weighted stats in total and all stats distributed well. His active is not bad either as it gives 3 darks with 3 hearts included + bind clears, guaranteed that you can heal up for the next preemptive strike or whatever the case may come to be. While Gremory has good taste in being unbindable for the team, the rest of his awakenings apart from skill boost go to waste offensively for Aizen unfortunately and sometimes 3 darks does not get you enough to sweep a floor- Something that Anubis can pull off with his active skill that can also convert trash orbs to dark orbs.

    - Grida - FARMABLE - A- - What prevents her from being amazing compared to other orb changers like Satsuki is the lack of 3 other awakenings not placed on a sub, lack of RCV + not converting junk orbs to dark orbs. She is still incredible thanks to her exceptionally high attack and HP she brings to the table- unfortunate that she can only be found in the heroine collab dungeon when it is around.

    - D/L Akechi - B+ - Provides 2 dark orb enhance awakenings and a hero-style orb changing skill with a dark orb enhance at the end, Akechi isn't too shabby and his stats are pretty decent even though he's not on-color. It's unfortunate his awakenings are wasted for Aizen however, and the enhance for dark orbs are more than overkill usually.
    D/D Akechi - B

    - D/L Castor - B+ - Castor sports a plethora of amazing awakenings that all contribute to Aizen's offensive and recovery and a god killer which can prove handy or not in situations. While Castor can clean up junk orbs, one of the most significant downsides to him is breaking hearts and his already god-like attack bringing up more problems with his god-killer in dire situations where you need to control damage.
    - D/B Castor - B - No God killer awakening and significantly less awakenings compared to D/L Castor. He is on color however.

    - Summer Valkyrie Claire - B+★ - Sports TPAs, wasted rows, SBR and a rare machine killer to top her off. If you manage to pick her up from the Summer Collab, she will work nicely in niche scenarios as a absolute Machine Killer. While she breaks hearts, her cooldown is short enough that you can inherit something else instead.
    - Valkyrie Claire - B - No SBR is what kills her usage being with the cousin of hers along with not being on color.
    - Halloween Vampire Duke - B- - A vast upgrade from his farmable version, he still can hurt as he breaks hearts similarly to the valkyries and sports a dangerous God Killer. His stats are pretty bad in comparison to the two above.

    - Halloween Chiyome - B - While Chiyome's stats and awakenings are not on par with the latest evolutions today, she has a nice SBR and provides a fast orb change on a very short cooldown + dragon killer can either help you or hurt you in the long run.

    - Noctis - B - Spewing orbs with no hearts all over the place and having a devil killer can be questionable at times- however if you are a hardcore player and absolutely hate the devil killer you can omit the awakening at the end(and if you've already done it, just pray Parvati isn't a dick to you). Noctis dosen't contribute recovery but does give a fairly high attack + HP and also has double TPAs to top off his respectable damage. The +combo while not necessary, can be helpful in the most niche situations possible(MZeus, Orpharion, etc.)

    - Reincarnated Knight Voice - FARMABLE - B- - Voice is basically a worse Grida with no haste and SBR. If you can't get Grida and you lack other sub options, then Voice would be the one to fall to as a great orb changer.

    - Saito - B- - Contributes very high attack and a fair amount of orb enhances while also spawning 5 dark orbs at random looks great- until you figure out that his HP and recovery is pretty pathetic and 5 dark orbs spawned usually can be placed with a better sub like Reincarnated Anubis. His active skill 100k nuke is extreme niche- It could have been better if it was a mass attack after all similar to Lumiel.

    - Oda Nobunaga - B- - Very similar to Saito except with 6 dark orbs instead and bind clears, however HP is lacking and his awakenings all go to waste except for being unbindable + devil killer and time extend.

    - Grisar - FARMABLE - B- - Very similar to his daughter Grida but has significantly lower HP, wasted awakenings and contributes no additional offensive power for ease of sweeping floors. That does not mean he's necessarily bad, as newer players who have Aizen will always appreciate whatever quality orb changers they can get ahold like Grisar here.

    - Awoken Lucifer - C+ - I'm not sure why you'd want to run a monster with God killer and rows + nothing else for awakenings apart from skill boost, but if you really run out of options, he's your best bet. His nuke and 3 dark orbs are pretty niche similarly to Saito.

    - Vampire Duke - Farmable - D - Breaks hearts, bad stats, awakenings, not so appealing. If you need an orb change and can't replace him with Voice, Vampire exists.

    - Awoken/Reincarnated Persephone - S★ - Both of these versions are great. The perfect package Aizen likes while also providing a double orb change(unfortunately not on par with Eschamali, but still good enough on her own). Depending on which form you want will depend on whether you can afford to keep up with the massive attack from certain subs like Zaerog, Yomi Dragon and Cecil. If you have at least 2 other subs on the team dishing out monstrous damage in the 2,900 to 3,000 region, Reincarnated version you should aim for. Otherwise Awoken Persephone is fine to stick with as well.

    - Cecil - S★ - The main appeal of Cecil is his triple dark resists and TPAs while also providing a solid board change and strong stats, something that poor Halloween Thoth & Sopdet are missing to make them as good as him. Board changers that include hearts are always favourable on Aizen and Cecil as a base sub is no exception to be excluded out of the overall package in many teams running in solo mode.

    - Eschamali - S - As Aizen himself provides no orb enhances to further enhance the damage to the 2 millions needed, just having Eschamali sitting on the team grants a passive and massive boost to damage on the team. Be very careful when pairing her with Zaerog in co-op or Yomi Dragon/Reincarnated Persephone as their attacks can hit way too hard on sopdet even when she's in dark form.

Conclusion? While orb enhances are great, having too many can backfire, so take caution when putting Eschamali on the team. If you're running in co-op, I'd suggest not putting Eschamali if you have Zaerog/Persephone/Yomi Dragon, since they already has massive stats and also provides the orb enhances themselves - Not too many but enough to supply a noticeable change in damage.
(or just don't run zaerog/yomi dragon/Persephone either, that is your choice). :p

    - Awoken/Reincarnated Haku - A- - Any version will work fine since both versions contribute massive recovery, even if Reincarnated dosen't provide the bonus recovery from Awoken form. While their stats and awakenings are great, their HP is slightly lacking in a bit. With the reincarnated version you'll want to keep an eye out for the 7c awakening for damage control. What prevents these versions from breaking the high elite is the awkward tri-color board change that can cause issues with orb trolling along with generating no hearts for the team in a board change, where the above monsters have special exceptions(Persephone and Eschamali guarantee a full multiplier, Cecil includes hearts while boasting arguably superior awakenings, etc.)

    - Ana Typhon - A-★ - While quad color board changers are disgusting, Ana Typhon gets a pass due to her massive HP she boasts along with being able to combine with specific monsters like Persephone or Satsuki in her active skill. Her devil killer is the final awakening that can be omitted at the end. The final touch to her being usable is unbindability and hasting 2 turns, something that can play a dramatic role for getting important skills back up like Satsuki or Persephone.

    - Lumiel - B+★ - Very similar to Ana Typhon, except stats are arguably worse, no SBR and no hearts. Triple TPA definitely does has its merits for dealing the heavy damage for sweeping a trash floor, however is pretty outshined by Satsuki who also yields stronger attack as well. Instead of the haste she instead trades with a mass-nuke of 100k damage - a predra killer while also providing a board of a good or bad number of dark orbs ready to sweep the next floor.

    - Hamal - No Uevos - B - Similar to Sima Yi, Hamal has potential of being an amazing monster. What stops her right now however is her measly 5 awakenings and her active skill that only converts poisons(not even including jammers, what the heck?) to darks. It still functions the same as a double orb change with haste included as part of the overall package. Hamal has double SBR and very cute artwork however that will certainly get some people to running her on the team.

    - Zuoh - C+ - While his active combines with Aizen for a nice 2/3 board, it is usually overkill and normally results in a board with 1 or no dark crosses at all. He provides massive HP, but also a dragon killer which can be dangerous along with no recovery bonus at all.

Always good to have variety of team compositions(unless they're literally crap), thanks!

looks like you can go around identifying more patterns while making combos for practice :p

Just so noone else has this problem before inherits came out i started skilling my second zuoh who is now on my aizens haku and requires me to carry 2 sdr instead of 1 to have haku up after heph preemp which in turn costs me 1 dark latent on the team which seems inconsequential until you realize that that 1 slot leaves me 109 hp short of being able to tank dq hera preemp in a3 fml who really hopes for a third zuoh now days lmmfao
