The Arena Slayer So, I've waited a long time for a monster like this, for those who knows me know that I was a long time without pulling the gatcha. I threw all my 877 stones chasing him, ended up with 2, and traded a few dupes for a third to get my own helper with custom assists (No regrets). HP x4 - RCV x4 Any Color or type subs can be used No Skyfall + Pure Combo LS Activation Full Damage Control 1) 100% Cloud, Tape, Dark, Jammers, Bombs and Poison Resist. 2) Bind, Awoken & unmatchable orbs Clear 3) Pseudo Bind Clear 4) Heart maker 5) Board Change (Orbs Replace) 6) Unlock Orbs with L Shape 7) Follow up Attack 8) VDP 9) 7c 10) Guard Break (active & awoken) 11) Delay + Poison 12) Time debuffs/buffs overwrite 13) Hazard Skyfalls (Poison, Jammers) remover 14) Light Burst 15) Rcv Boost (8x when activated) 16) Combo Boost (2x for 1 turn) I'm still learning to control damage on this team but It's not difficult at all, 6 combos get multiplies by 81x without activating 7c (Kills Parvati, Vishnu etc). Demonstration Video The video below is a Setup for Arena 4. For Arena 3 I use Reeche in the Rex Spot. I haven't played Arena 5 with this team yet (but I will soon).
I think his strength is in his unrestricted sub pool (and fun playstyle) but he struggles with content that requires VDP + FUA + combo shield (such as Zeus in AA3).
To be fair, literally everything struggles with AA3, including the truly OP auto-FUA leads. What a stupid dungeon.
This make the team build more challenging. That's why my A5 team isn't ready yet. (Hera Nyx & Machine Athena mechanics). Tachibana + wedding Akechi solves the VDP+FUA problem, but I loose one jammer resist (that I'm using in cotton). Also, as I need Fujin in my second Yashamaru, I loose 3 poisons resist and delay. Working in progress... But I'll figure out.
Ok, so i did. A5 cleared with: Yashamaru(Yashamaru) Red Cotton(Wedding Akechi) DiaoChan(Tachibana) Yusuke(Orpheus) Rex(Orpheus) Yashamaru(Fujin) I didn't think was a ideal team. In the end of 2019 we still depend on active to deal with Damage Absortion and it 's a waste of an Assist. In times when we need resist weapons so much (sometimes with terrible actives) we could have an awoken equal to the color-activated guard break to pierce Mathena,Sopdet etc. When bringing Fujin in my helper, I had to remove my Delay and poison resist from him. Regardless of whether I don't need this on A5, it means I'll have to put the Assist on and off depending on the dungeon, and that comes with a cost too. So, I plan to continue farming A5 with my Karin, and leave the Yashamaru team as it was (in the video) to other dungeons.
If you don't mind stalling for thousand rounds, there are some which can ignore DP w/o VDP.... ex: Hao.
It's not just that his sub pool is deep that makes him awesome, he can also pair effectively with a wide range of other leads which makes for some fun playstyles. I was trying him out with DMeta for awhile and it actually worked surprisingly well lol.
